... meanwhile Manchester City are punished by a severe finger wagging and a quiet 'tskkk task' sort of noise for kicking the FPP rules in the Gentelemen's downstairs department and being totally crooked buggers.
Seriously, why is there no viable punishment procedure for any club that breaks the rules? there are for players (in theory) The football world would survive perfectly well if City, PSG, Madrid or Bayern were given points deductions in their respective league, or banished from the CL for a year or given a transfer ban. All of Arsenal, Chelsea, United and Liverpool have missed out on CL in recent years and it hasn't exactly harmed them has it. Do one of the above to City, otherwise what is the point of FFP UEFA (and FIFA) anyway......?

Just bought my Chelsea ticket. It's time we beat these bastards at Wembley, 2008 was the last time I think, that's long enough.

I take your point and agree with the overall sentiment, however I am being refunded £63+ for each home game not played at WHL. I've just bought a good Chelsea ticket back of lower tier Shelf corner for £54.00 and selected print at home for free, so I'm £9.00 up. Southampton and Burnley tickets will be even less.

Besides trying to sell out a midweek fixture with all the wembley fatigue that has set in,
Its more about a statement by the club giving something back,if WHL ticket prices werent comparable to NWHL (THFC`s word not mine),then neither is wembley. The lack of a CL bundle was a mistake, everything looks like a money grab rather than a reward.
As a side moan,There is still no ticket pricing for NWHL yet,I know it doesnt concern you for league matches but europe&cup games it will (eventually),surely they know what they are going to charge by now fot cat A,B&C matches, stadium doesnt have to open to announce that.I am sure though we will all be slightly pleased by the pricing commanded..............
NOT.

Nail on head right across the board. An email to Jonathan Waites would be interesting, he's usually very good at replying, if the email is well constructed with a decent rationale. Your points above are perfect.

Just from a marketing perspective, trying to sell +50k seats, run up to xmas, just after chelsea and inter at home, late kick off, midweek, probably going to be bitterly cold. Its not last year, the mood is different,if just 10% of STHs go for refunds over tickets thats over 4k more to try&sell on general sale. Its hardly a must go fixture in terms of glamour. Its also about getting the support in the stadium for the team, point incase,if tuesdays match had been at WHL or last year at wembley 80k fans,I have no doubt the atmosphere would have much better and nearly always the team responds.

What a sad picture.Didnt think I had it in me,but my heart goes out to Leicester over this.Been classy how they have more celebrated their former owner than wallow in grief, which would be understandable.

I was in Leicester yesterday, taking my daughter for a look at Leicester Poly, it’s now a University of course with a silly name, the march before the game went right through the City Centre campus, men, women, children of all races, shapes and sizes. It’s a real community club. Respect to the whole club and it’s fans.

This is sport..... or is it...... maybe I'm just a grumpy old cunt, but this is seriously pissing me off..
I dont mind it as such, but its a slippery road, only goals and red cards etc until a huge game is won by a corner that wasnt,or a freekick not given 30 secs before a goal and the ref plays advantage& that slaps you in the face infact everything not proven correct will be up for review.
That feeling when you score or save a goal, are awarded a penalty, never going to be the same again after a couple of times of your delirium being smashed by VAR,you wont cheer as loudly, you wont celebrate as wildly because, waiting 30secs until the restart kick off will become the time for a small, hoorrahh like george in blackadder.

Exactly mate.... look at any american sport for the sterile atmosphere....

Fuck that give me the insane instant jubilation of a goal any day of the week even with the injustice of the odd decision.

I don't think I like this VAR jiggery-pokery. I agree with @skiathospurs it will kill the atmosphere (even more than Levy pricing all the oiks out and turning the New Lane into a private members club for toffs). All the post-match banter will be killed - 'Wot a cunt that ref was - that goal was well offside/onside and that was/was not a fucking penalty all day long!" will be replaced by "did you watch Strictly Come Dancing last night, the sequins were divine".

Of course I will always be a Spurs fan, but I am liking modern football less and less and Levy can poke his new 'venue' Lane up his arse, I liked the old one. Most of the 'new' fans sit there through the whole match checking whatever the fuck is so important on their phones or filming AR (Actual Reality) so they can experience it later, that I suppose adding VAR won't make much a difference to those cunts.

While I am having a rant, I hate those film everything cunts.. I had 'a word' with a bloke at the last live gig I went to as I was trying to watch the beat combo on the stage and all I could see was the screen of this wanker's fucking phone, he turned it off when I said I was going to do bad things to him and his fucking phone. Mrs D got umpty with me because apparently I am too aggressive - 'but he was a cunt...." I nearly said, luckily I remembered that using that word is frowned upon. Brexit cunts I hate them too, I really, really hate them cunts.

To be fair you are a cunt if you record a gig on a smartphone. It'll be terrible quality, both visually and audio wise ... And much like fireworks footage you'll never watch it.

Jeez I hope they're right. you never know with Dean he used to do well for us but last 2-3 years he's gone all Arsenal and anti- Spurs.. Trouble is he's the Mourinho of referees, it's all about him and he struts around like a peacock with his nose in the air, don't be surprised if there's a red card or penalty on Sunday.

Sad news :D;)

Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez could be out for a "long time" with a hamstring injury, says manager Jose Mourinho. The 29-year-old Chilean suffered the injury in training on Thursday.

Sanchez is yet to have a scan to determine the extent of the damage but Mourinho said he was "screaming" in pain. "It is not a little muscular injury from which he will be ready in a week or 10 days," he added.

Mourinho says it is more severe than the hamstring injury defender Victor Lindelof has suffered. The Sweden international, who was injured in Saturday's home draw against Crystal Palace, is expected to be out until the festive period. On Sanchez, Mourinho added: "It is an aggressive muscular injury. He has not had a scan yet but the player is experienced. He knows what the injury is. "From my experience, the painful scream and the way it happened, it will be a long time. "For me and Alexis Sanchez, the grade is different to the one that Lindelof has and that was not easy."

ps. who has the same photo of their dogs twice put in frames, one for each eye?? tosser.

Manchester United look a mess, they have 2 offensive players in the team against Saints. If Southampton were even half decent they would be winning this easily, rather than losing a 2-0 lead.

Just watching a bit of Bournemouth vs Liverpool, Mo Salah is some player. Would be a good back up for Kane, we should put in a bid in January.

England and Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling has accused some sections of the media of helping to “fuel racism” with their portrayal of young black footballers after he was the victim of alleged racist abuse during City’s 2-0 defeat at Chelsea.

The Metropolitan Police and Chelsea are investigating an incident during the first half of Saturday’s game at Stamford Bridge when Sterling retrieved a ball from beyond the touchline in front of the Matthew Harding stand. Footage was posted on social media of home supporters leaning forward screaming obscenities and one fan allegedly subjecting him to racist abuse.
Five stewards approached the fan in question just before the final whistle and, having allowed him to watch the last few minutes of stoppage time, appeared to accompany him away from his seat at the end of the game. The police have since confirmed no arrest was made.

The incident came after a troubling week for football which saw a Tottenham Hotspur supporter arrested for throwing a banana skin at Pierre-Emerick Aubameyangduring Arsenal’s derby victory at the Emirates stadium. Two people were also arrested in Edinburgh on Saturday for allegedly directing racial abuse at Motherwell’s Christian Mbulu during his side’s defeat at Hearts, with the anti-discrimination body, Kick it Out, calling for leaders in football to take a more proactive approach in dealing with racism in the sport.
Sterling took to Instagram on Sunday morning to suggest he was not surprised by the behaviour of the supporters in question. “I just want to say, I am not normally the person to talk a lot but when I think I need my point heard I will speak up,” he posted. “Regarding what was said at the Chelsea game, as you can see by my reaction I just had to laugh because I don’t expect no better.”
The England international screen-grabbed a story that had appeared on MailOnline last January about his club-mate, Tosin Adarabioyo, under the headline: ‘Young Manchester City footballer, 20, on £25,000 a week splashes out on mansion on market for £2.25m despite having never started a Premier League match’. He went on to reference another story from October about City’s teenage midfielder, Phil Foden, buying a house which had carried the headline: ‘Foden buys new £2m home for his mum’.
“You have two young players starting out their careers – both play for the same team, both have done the right thing, which is buy a new house for their mothers who have put in a lot of time and love into helping them get where they are,” wrote Sterling. “But look at how the newspapers get their message across for the young black player and then for the young white player. I think this is unacceptable, both innocent, have not done a thing wrong but just by the way it has been worded.
“The young black kid is looked at in a bad light. Which helps fuel racism an[d] aggressive behaviour. So for all the newspapers that don’t understand why people are racist in this day and age all I have to say is have a second thought about fair publicity an[d] give all players an equal chance.”
Lord Ouseley, the founder of Kick it Out, said: “We have already made comments about the way Raheem Sterling has been treated differently by the media. Raheem Sterling has received bad press over the last few years because of his lifestyle and clearly there are issues from potential stories adding to prejudice, and I have every sympathy for him.
“What happened at Chelsea shows what is still going on in football. Where is [Premier League chief executive] Richard Scudamore? Where is [the Football Association chairman] Greg Clarke? Where is Chelsea’s chairman [Bruce Buck]? They should have been talking out last night and it has to dealt with at the top. We do not have any leadership at the top of the game to speak out. They rely on Kick it Out.”
It is unclear whether Sterling had made out the specific nature of the abuse as he retrieved the ball. “Players know if they are abused in any way they have to tell the referee,” added Lord Ouseley. “It was awful. All players know the referee is in charge and has a duty of care, and the referee can remove those people. It didn’t appear to me he told the referee in the first place.”
Chelsea have pledged take the strongest possible action where necessary and have requested video and audio from BT, who were broadcasting the game. Their own CCTV footage will also be handed over to the police. They will also speak with stewards to ascertain what was said to the man after the final whistle as he was led away. They are under orders to eject offenders and bring in the police for any racist behaviour.
It is unclear as yet whether the man alleged to have shouted the racist abuse is a season ticket holder or member, or whether he had simply bought a match ticket for the fixture. If identified and found guilty, he will be banned for life though, if he denies the accusations, the club reserve the right to impose a similar sanction on the balance of probability, as they have on occasions in the past.

“We take all allegations of discrimination extremely seriously and will work with the clubs and the relevant authorities to ensure this matter is dealt with appropriately,” said the FA in a statement. “We strongly condemn all forms of discrimination and encourage all fans and participants who believe that they have been the subject of, or witness to, discriminatory abuse to report it through the appropriate channels: the FA, our County FAs or our partners Kick It Out.”
Police Scotland have been given footage which shows around 20 fans in the main stand at Tynecastle shouting comments at the Mbulu, 22, as the substitute warmed up on the touchline. The Motherwell manager, Stephen Robinson, described the abuse as “dark ages and dinosaur stuff”. Hearts have confirmed they are cooperating fully with the police in their enquiries, with anyone found to have abused Mbulu to receive indefinite bans.
