Hamstrings are generally a result over of playing and being ‘too’ fit aren’t they? Hopefully through the rest haines by being injured the likes of Dele, Jan, Christian (not a Hammy) and others will come back fresh and fighting.

Poch on Mousa Dembele: "We hope that from the beginning of January he will be ready.

Danny Rose: “I saw him this morning. I asked him for his perfume because he has very nice perfume. [His recovery] is a little bit longer than we expected. We hope [after the international break] he will be back – maybe not the start of the first week.”

we have some players back like Eric Dier and Victor Wanyama, we'll see tomorrow if they can be fit for Saturday."

You know, as his English develops, Poch often makes a lot of odd little quips like this--kinda like the House of Cards thing he was talking about last week. One of many many endearing things about the man.

Living in greece with a swede I just dont even notice stuff like that anymore, get so used to incorrect language and strange things said.I notice more english people using huge words or slang which others dont understand but just say "yes" even though they havent got a clue what they are saying yes to.I wonder if off camera Poch is more relaxed and speaks more fluently,he already speaks better english than Beckham like errrrr like errrr like ....

....and you can't beat a Brussel Sprout on your plate at this time of year with your Parsnip either....especially if some fancy cook is adding a bit of chestnut and onion gravy.

Good, however we still have Dier, Winks, Dele and Kane 'at risk' in a meaningless International for Wayne Rooney's benefit. I'm hoping that since both Dele and his mate Dier are coming back from injury and Kane is according to the whole world 'knackered' they get a rest. I'm sure the remaining 25 members can show up for once?

It's taking the piss init? If the FA want to arrange a voluntary testimonial for Rooney then I don't care, but to pretend this is a proper England game is fecking annoying. We should tell them that all our players are unavailable - an outbreak of man-flu?. There are a lot of young players working their nuts off to get into the England squad and every game should be about developing the team for the future not a 'goodwill gesture' to Shrek.

They are all 'big' players, which actually goes to show how good/deep the squad is, rather than isn't this season. Lamela, Winks, Moura, Sissoko, Foyth, Aurier all feel like fit 'new' players this season, based on form.

Player in Training.
Davinson Sanchez is available for selection again as we return to Premier League action at Everton on Sunday (4pm).
The central defender has missed nine games in all competitions since picking up a hamstring problem in the Champions League win against PSV in November.
It's a double defensive boost for Mauricio Pochettino with Juan Foyth fit again and on the bench for our Carabao Cup win at Arsenal on Wednesday night.
Elsewhere, Eric Dier (appendicitis) has been discharged from hospital and will commence rehabilitation next week.
Serge Aurier (groin) and Mousa Dembele (ankle) continue the final stages of their rehabilitation while Jan Vertonghen (thigh) has commenced on-field rehabilitation. Victor Wanyama (knee) is continuing gym work.

Reckon I’d keep Dele for Chelsea, he loves scoring against them, the others can come back when they’re ready, we’ve got a few back to cover the gaps. Lamela will start against Wolves? Tripps and Davies. If we get the same luck and take our chances we’ll be done by half time....

Sounds weird, but in a way this enforced rotation has worked out ok,as one comes back we lose another or winks,KWP,foyth and now skipp have stepped up.Worst case has been right back and DM,losing dier, wanyama and dembele who has noticed, sissoko&winks have covered seamlessly. We have has a lot of injuries no doubt, but so called lesser players like dier, davies, sissoko have filled in positions, son has proven he can cover for kane.As they return en masse from injury next month, squad will look nice and refreshed. Some luck, but mostly the players are trained and trusted to do a job,we fear the worst and then suprise suprise they do alright.
Compare that to woolwich, lose a couple of CBs and the gates open, and yet two weeks ago we had sanchez, vertongen, foyth out went to barca and got a result,no trippier, aurier someone just comes in,does the biz.Our depth might not be highly regarded, but really has any side had so many injuries and just carried on so effortlessly??Imagine the headache when we have 5 or 7 more players eligable for selection.

This is one of the things I haven't really understood with pundits comparing us and Liverpool. They all seem to believe Liverpool can go beyond us because of their superior depth, but in reality their squad has been pretty much unaffected this season. I mean an injury to van dijk and they will be shaky as fuck at the back. We've been without a full strength team most of the season id guess.

No - one that I’m aware of has given the players, the club or the management the full credit that they deserve for the league position this season. Especially in the context in which it has been achieved. It is truly remarkable and had it been Liverpool, or City then we would likely be worshipping at the altar of Klopp and Pep. Now this probably sounds like sour grapes, or chip on my shoulder stuff, and fair enough City have given Foden a few minutes this season. Liverpool have found Robertson and Alexander Arnold, both good players. But the rest of their squads are essentially assembled at great expense. We are above City on merit and have relied/trusted in KWP, Winks, Sissoko, and Skipp, and the rest of the ‘squad strength’ assembled at relatively little or no cost.

We may not be the media darlings, and they may delight if Poch eventually moves to United. But the football, the belief, the spirit, the goals and mentality displayed throughout the team at present is outstanding and something that should be applauded by all right thinking objective football fans. It is in the true sense of the word fantastic in how it has all been achieved.

Lamela was utter dross against Everton. Couldn't pass fucking wind that day. Dunno what he did against Bournemouth so maybe he owes us a performance.
