I saw a study about the areas that had the largest brexit vote correlating to the smallest social integration of foreign "invaders".

So generalizing a little here, basically these people voted against something they hadn't experienced and were simply afraid of experiencing.

These people had not had the experiences of an integrated society so believed the hate and bile spewed by Farage, Yaxly Lennon, Meighan and their racist followers whom they blamed for all of societies problems.

As detailed 17% of the population cant be responsible for all of the problems in our society. It's a convenient lie and a tactic used by the NAZI party during world war 2 to justify actions of genocide. It's not the 17% fault any more than it was the 85 million people who died in the wars fault.

The truth is these people are all utterly shit scared of that 17%.... those big hard men and women are so insecure that a 12 year old, 9 stone, Syrian refugee scares the living shit out of them. They are so inadequate that the thought of speaking to a Muslim is utterly unpaletable.

The fucking idiots. These people make us better. It's those piss scared cunts that drag us down. They're pathetic.

But what is worse is the lazy pricks simply chose to believe instead of either finding out for themselves through experiences or doing a quick google and learning.

They have been lied to by self serving politicians and businessmen who see the dismantlement of the UK (& Europe) as an opportunity to make even more cash out of the very same people they are lying to.

Now there is an argument that I shouldn't be angry at the mass brexiteers as it was a sophisticated lie and they have been fooled. That I should be angry with those doing the fooling. And I agree with it to an extent.....

What I now cannot accept is with the facts.... FACTS laid bare in front of all of our faces that they simply refuse to admit they were wrong.

It's ok to say you were wrong. It's ok to say you were lied to. All of that is fine. No one is going to rub it on your face and it 100% is not too late.

It's not fine to simply blunder on in the knowledge that you are damaging your life, your kids lives and their kids lives simply because you are too fucking proud to admit you were wrong and you were lied to.

That is unforgivable. History will not forgive you if you take this country down further than you already have.

It's interesting these generalised common myths, based on people being different from oneself. About 7 or 8 years ago, before Britain was a ethnic ghetto and our houses, schools and hospitals were overrun with immagrunts, I sat down with a Muslim lady and her husband at a BBQ on an event we were running.

My job involves organising corporate events and this one happened to be in Malta for a global Oil company. Many of the 200 or so couples were Asian Muslim amongst a variety of different religions and nationalities. The lady wore a veil, with just eyes showing, rather than a headscarf, a dark dress and her husband was dressed in jeans and T-shirt. The common perception is that females are down trodden in Muslim society and treated as inferior by males. In some sections of society they undoubtedly are, not just Asian (a big continent by the way) or Muslim.

Anyway it was a fun, lively and enlightening conversation where it turned out that she was very much in control of the relationship, which he jokingly acknowledged and that when she was younger she was a bit of a 'wild child' in terms of life style across the board - partying in all its aspects long and hard. She then decided a couple of years prior to our meeting to 'take up the Veil' and treat her religion more seriously. her husband whilst supporting her, was not of the same opinion in religious terms.

In short we had a fascinating fun chat, if only a few more people would do the same and I know it's naive, but the whole of society (globally) would get on so much better, for everyone's benefit.

Oh yeah - it was a BBQ remember - there were several Halal diet requests and the caterers in Malta on that evening couldn't differentiate the menu served to so many guests....... So we cooked everything halal!! Guess what - the feedback from the (unknowing) non halal guests was that 'the food was delicious'....who'd have thought eh??

What words can be used to describe this fuck up? The so-called government not happy with treating Parliament with contempt, treat the country with contempt. The cunts who voted for this and even now double down on their fucking stupidity will go down in history. Wreckers.

At least you all can rest secure knowing that, this week, you didn't learn that your senior elected official had his attorney set up a shell company to issue an illegal hush payment to a porn star who has, notwithstanding this payment, revealed that his penis resembles, and I quote, "the mushroom character in Mario Kart."

What a time to be alive.

Did someone say it couldn't get any worse?

This seems indulgent by the PM and Cons. Not in the interest of the country.

If you voted in or out, it doesnt matter.

This Brexit fuckup is too important to be left to any single political party, especially the self-servatives who only give a flying fuck about themselves and their minted sponsors. Corbynn must have splinters in his arse from sitting on the fence and he is playing a dangerous game with the future of the country. Of course he wants the fuck up that is Brexit, he sees a future Labour government rebuilding from the smouldering ashes. I too want a labour government, but I am not prepared to see the country brought to its knees to see that happen.

We need a National Unity Government, led by sane people from the various parties like Starmer, Clarke, Lucas and Blackford to try and sort this shit-show out. The government and the opposition say a second referendum is undemocratic, what bollocks. Rescind Article 50, ask the question properly, put forward the only three options that are available and then IF the People's Willy is still saying leave then get the deal sorted BEFORE you submit the next Article 50, if sanity prevails then thank the ECJ for proving that we do have sovereignty and can just stay with the same fantastic deal we have now.

We find out by 20:00 tonight if she is still PM...

The consensus is that she may well be. The trouble is is the usual suspects are the ones who have conspired to upset the apple cart for 2 reasons.

1. To force us further down the disastrous road of a no deal brexit where they and their rich hedge fund chimp pick the meat off of the carcass of Britaon and then live in riches in another part of the world until they die.

Or 2. To challenge for the leadership of the party where again they play out the same scenario

Either way if you voted leave or remain.... you didnt vote for this shit show.

I suppose though this is atypical of what we see in modern politics.

Self serving agendas at the expense of those who they are supposed to serve...

For me the answer is to ask the people what they want with 3 options.
1 leave with the PMs deal
2. Leave with no deal
3. Remain as we are.

Once the public have voted (in large enough numbers for it to have real meaning) we can crack on with the will of the people in its truest sense. I am all for democracy... it fucking important, and what we xurenrrky have is not democratic.

The next step after this is to reform government. We were the pioneers of moder democracy... let's prove to be pioneers again. That's show the developed and undeveloped world what it is to truly be democratic and serve the peoples and nations interest.

If we did that now then there would be no discussion about being in or out of Europe. It would be whatever is best for us in the majority and for the long term.

I think this has a few more twists and turns yet to come but we have to seize the opportunity to build something great out of this shit show however it ends.

Proper Phoenix from the flames shit. Its possible as long as we have the leaders in place to see it.... none of them curently are fit to run a polish car wash let alone the country.

I think she will definitely win this confidence vote and I wouldn't be surprised if she actually orchestrated it to deflect the bullets she was taking from her shabby deal. She will effectively shut the loonie wing of the ERG right up. That cunt Mogg will not be able to keep on whining that she has no support. Then she will be able to do exactly what she wants. She has shown time and again that she is totally contemptuous of Parliament and will just delay the so-called 'meaningful vote' until it's too late.

We are stuck with the evil bitch and I think she might just frighten parliament into believing her pox-awful lies that the only alternative to her deal is no deal, then we are fucked, slightly less fucked than we would be with no deal, but fucked.

Of course there should be a three option 2nd (or 3rd if you include the first one I voted in) referendum, 1. No deal fuck the country up the arse without lube, 2. Her deal, fuck the country up the arse - use lube, or 3. Remain and live happily ever after - when a sensible Labour government led by Starmer and Benn take over from the Magic Grandpa and become electable.

The Tories are done. Once a credible opposition forms the country will never forgive them for austerity and this Brexit abortion.

The Conservative party is ripping itself to pieces, but because they are all so selfish they don't even care. We need to be careful that a new more polished UKIP doesn't come out of this led by a Rees Mogg type character. The country is now in an utter mess, because the opposition is equally weak. It's a time when democracy can be seen not to work very well.

Simply cant see them ever being credible mate. Batten has seen them fo even further the other way. If they'd have waited until now when may committed political suicide and gleaned off some of the less overtly racist Tories into their ranks they should have stood a chance of becoming credible...

Alas they have shown their true facisit colours and employed Yaxley-Lennon to whip up the racists and make them ready for war.

There does need to be an alternative, but there simply isn't enough will to form a credible one. The yellows tried at ot for decades and all but killed themselves in the coalition.

Maybe a revamp of them as the middle.ground... all they need to do is give unequivical political reform as their main manifesto pledge and they'd get in. People.want change. This total thing was about chnage and a protest against the status quo.

I'd like her to loose, but incant see it and with that comes her forcing her shit deal upon us. Only way to stop it if she wins is by the people mobilising. Trouble is if you mobilise.... so does the opposition. The country is split and to me that sounds a lot like civil unrest and people fighting in the street isn't far away.

You just know that every single MP at the moment is sketching out their own ‘not my fault’ answer, to whatever the outcome of this complete shambles turns out to be.

There is a vacuum developing here and maybe there has been for some time, but I’ve often thought that there is room for a ‘Common man’ type party. Taking the better ideas of left socialism a bit of Keynes and right when necessary for business but very socially aware.

It’s what I’m essence,, with such a huge momentous decision to be made, the existing political parties should be doing.

So what you're basically asking for there is like a war time cabinet where you pick the best man for the job regardless of party politics (unless I'm completely wrong there!) but it's what I've been saying for ages. Won't happen though, they are all too stubborn to change and work together for the good of anyone that isn't offering them something in return.

So thankful I live in a country free of this kind of political drama.
I like a bit of satire in this thread. Top post mate. I suppose the self-destruction of the UK takes our attention away from your bloke, there's no point manning about your facists when we have 37% of the entire country polishing their jackboots and ironing their armbands.

I had to laugh at the headline in the papers today - 'May humiliated in Europe'. Ok, so she went back to ask them to change the deal that she said can not be changed, they have been saying all along it can't be changed, when she asked the question they just said 'sorry, can't be done love, off you toddle'.

The dreadful woman will just keep kicking this can down the road until we run out of road. Fuck knows what happens then. I'd like to think that the Grieve amendment would stop the nightmare of 'no deal', theoretically if we do get to the end of the road and there is no deal, Parliament will use the sovereignty that the the ECJ has confirmed we have (do you understand that Brexitt fanciers?) and just withdraw Article 50. With the tyranny of a Tory minority government led by a a mad woman who only is clinging on by her fingernails to her job as PM and as leader of the despicable Tory party, anything could happen.

How about something that is not Brexit related?

The dirty Tories have said that councils can spend more money - that's good eh? Nope. They are going to cut government funding to councils by 36% and allow the local feds to increase council tax by 4.99%, which will still mean they have less money to spend on services.

Pass the buck, pay more, get less, the Tory mantra. Good luck if you need to find a public toilet, visit a library, get your bins emptied more frequently than once a month, have the leaves sweat up before your old granny slips and breaks her neck, drive your car without destroying your suspension in the potholes ....

Haha read my mind, this was the first piece of non Brexit news I had registered for nearly a year...

It's a piss take, yet again. So the pay rises the civil service has just had (after a pay freeze for a decade) of 1.5% average (basically an overall pay cut when set against inflation) have just gone on one public service charge.

I would ask.... what's next. This method of passing the responsibility is a despicable ploy to simply pass the buck to local authorities, who in turn will pass it onto the public.

The synic in me says.... is this a form of privatisation?

If we have to fund the services through local taxes.... we may as well sell it off to a service provider.... sound too familiar to me.

Meanwhile back in Brexitland:

Five ministers, including Chancellor Philip Hammond and Work and Pensions Secretary Amber Rudd, are "leaning reluctantly" towards supporting a second referendum, The Times said.
But another group, including Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt, Liz Truss, the chief secretary to the Treasury, and Leader of the Commons Andrea Leadsom, is said to be willing to leave without a deal.
And a third faction, including Environment Secretary Michael Gove and Home Secretary Sajid Javid, is said to back a soft Brexit, possibly based on the relationship Norway has with the EU.
What a total fuckup. The cabinet are split three ways, the 'leader' is stark raving mental and thinks if she keeps saying the stupid things she is saying they will become un-stupid, just like the Brexters. The Wreckers in group two, who support a 'managed no deal' are the biggest cunts on the face of the earth. The heroes of the Little England, flag waving dumbos who think that we will thrive as an isolated small country trading under WTO rules. and a 10% minimum drop in GDP will be a minor inconvenience, cunts.

What the fuck is a 'managed no deal'? Nobody knows because it's bollocks, it is just a way of trying to sell the chaos - Liz Truss has said she thrives on chaos, what a fucking moron that woman is. Just like the cunt on TV last night saying we should focus on the 'opportunities' offered by a no deal Brexit, despite the Director General of the CBI ( they know a bit about finance and business) saying that 150,000 UK businesses are totally dependent on trading with the EU and they would be fucked without lube if no deal happened. Yes, there would be opportunities for a tiny minority of businesses and cunts like Rees Mogg who has told his investors to get out of Dodge and backed against the pound, but the massive majority of ordinary people will not see a single penny of the fantasy Brexit dividend, they will see rising prices and taxes, job losses, reduced services and have their own escape route (freedom of movement) closed.

It's ironic that the treasonous cunt Farage's UK Independence Party will lead to there being no more United Kingdom, unless you count Little England and even littler Wales. I'm sure that won't bother the facists, they will scream for walls like their hero.

I think I’m the Only Brexiteer here so I’m going to ask those who feel it the wrong decision
1 did you think we were wrong in NOT joining the single currency, It’s been widely accepted if we had , we’d have been screwed years back and by joining it , it has prevented Greece Italy Portugal to set their own currencies etc , to and Not be a Germany’s lap dog .
2 how do you feel NOW about that Traitor Tony Blair’s signing of The Lisbon Treaty when IN JUST 2 years time 2020 , when we lose ALL POWERS , when the system changes to that,of the Majority and No abstententions or Vetos are allowed
3 ALL MEMBER states MUST ADOPT the Euro in 2020, No exceptions No vetos
4 The London stock exchange moves to Frankfurt 2020 , so not only do we lose jobs but also control of our stock markets , one of largest financial institutions creating wealth in this country
There are plenty of other points but let’s leave it there
Be interesting to know your views on these points and the Lisbon Treaty in general
