Clearly viewed as a virus and away from the team to not infect them.Nkoudou hasnt played, hardly even on the bench, but look at least he has hung on,not rocked the boat, good job on sunday.Ok it was one cross, but I dont subscribe to this Poch is a mean bastard who cant get on with some players,Nkoudou took his chance, more power to him, lets hope its a sissoko-esque rebirth.Must be a big deal if Poch wont give janssen a squad number or a chance even with our strikers all out. That's a frightening state of affairs for him to be sidelined like that.
It also shows what he is about if he isn't pushing for a love to play football somewhere. You can guarantee he has been offered out on loan, That's what we do.
His attitude clearly ain't what is required. It's a shame.
He went to Turkey for a bit didnt he on loan?Clearly viewed as a virus and away from the team to not infect them.Nkoudou hasnt played, hardly even on the bench, but look at least he has hung on,not rocked the boat, good job on sunday.Ok it was one cross, but I dont subscribe to this Poch is a mean bastard who cant get on with some players,Nkoudou took his chance, more power to him, lets hope its a sissoko-esque rebirth.Must be a big deal if Poch wont give janssen a squad number or a chance even with our strikers all out.

https://www.football.london/tottenham-hotspur-fc/players/marcus-edwards-josh-onomah-kazaiah-15848855Really good update on 7 of our Academy ‘stars’ and their current loans by Alastair Gold. Marcus Edwards may have turned a corner in attitude? He’s 20 now.....he won the game for his team in Holland at the weekend. It’s been bad luck and frustration for most of the others, Josh Onomah is 21 and reunited with Steve Bruce.
Can’t post a link from this phone, will do tomorrow, but generally if you decent reporting for what’s happening at Spurs then follow Alastair Gold on Twitter. Great stuff.

I like seeing young master Pochettino in the squad, the beginnings of a dynasty?Young yids through to the last 16 winning 1-0.

Yeah, that Harry Kane bloke was rubbish, never be a top player I heard. It doesn't seem so from what I have heard about him and he is usually a substitute in games but youth development does throw up the odd case of someone coming through who no one really expected to..
Actually I am beginning to think attitude to improve is much more important than "god given talent",taarabt, edwards, caskey going back in time, could be young poch works his way to being a very decent player.I have heard from a friend who attends nearly every youth game that he doesnt shine shall we say.Lets face it darren ferguson also had tough shoes to fill, having a famous father can be quite a burden I would imagine,i know young bacon boy in goal at leicester hates comparisons with dad.It doesn't seem so from what I have heard about him and he is usually a substitute in games but youth development does throw up the odd case of someone coming through who no one really expected to..

Yeah, skill, hard work and some pure luck needed. Besides edwards (who maybe getting back on track?),other wastes of talent that ravel morrison, ballotelli, taarabt, just really believing being maverick with skill is enough, when players like milner, barry, dier show you can not be the silkiest of players but make it through grit.Must be infuriating to be a manager of those maverick types, not so much the poor attitude more the watching of a talent wrecking their own career. It's very hard to make it to the top in any sport, you have to have a lot of things go right and as you say, you generally need that willingness to keep working and an obsession with being the best version of you that you can be.
'undreds of people were saying he was just good, never world class, remember in the place that time forgot all the crap about is he good enough. I don't believe that when he started out that anyone thought he would be as good as he has turned out, as @skiathospurs said it's down to attitude and hard graft - Harry is the footy version of Johnny Wilkinson, the harder they work, the better they get.The thing is is that no one in the Spurs Academy actually thought that and neither did English youth team coaches, particularly so at this late teens age. Sure, a lot of people were probably surprised by how good he has actually become but he was one of the best players in his age group at Spurs at these later ages.
Wish I could nip over to the place that time forgot,I am in no way claiming massive ITK nonce rights with a thread "is it time to trust Kane" .He had scored an excellent goal for the young lions, bobby and Ade were playing dogshit, and my thoughts on letting Harry have a go were purely because the other pair were so unbelievably bad that an 18ish year old academy lad couldnt do worse. This was pretty much most peoples consensus back then too from the replies. And this is where like my previous post about "luck, fate, the force" came into play.If we hadnt sacked AVB and Sherwood in quick manner and then appointed Poch as coach,Kane would be championship fodder now.Not that they wouldnt have given him a crack in the side, but Poch telling Harry he wasnt good enough and he needed to improve/work harder from the moment Poch and his team arrived, and then Harry believing if he did do that he would get his chance. So harry got lucky with how he met the manager who would help make him,and then and now still he wants to be better, win the golden boot, beat club records, steer the club to trophies. But he needed someone to help him,he is not a "god given" talent like hoddle, gazza, maradona etc he has had to work to be his best but he needed the right coaxing.'undreds of people were saying he was just good, never world class, remember in the place that time forgot all the crap about is he good enough. Do you think these players can, with Poch needing to do the same with them, take the next step? or do we need a couple with experience? Bayern were very clever at taking the crowd and the sting out of Liverpool on Tuesday night. Juventus did the same to us last season. I think with everyone fit we can beat anyone in a one-off game, but to win big things these days you need to win three or four cup finals in both the Premier League and Champions League. I hope they can, because they surely deserve it, but there's maybe only a year or two left before they get itchy feet? If they did win something together - as Kane said 'With his mates' it might well reinforce the bonds. United '92 style and a dynasty will be created.Wish I could nip over to the place that time forgot,I am in no way claiming massive ITK nonce rights with a thread "is it time to trust Kane" .He had scored an excellent goal for the young lions, bobby and Ade were playing dogshit, and my thoughts on letting Harry have a go were purely because the other pair were so unbelievably bad that an 18ish year old academy lad couldnt do worse. But he needed someone to help him,he is not a "god given" talent like hoddle, gazza, maradona etc he has had to work to be his best but he needed the right coaxing.
In a way Bale was the same,he was heading for forest in the championship until Harry came in,the change worked, the counter style of play worked, his moving further forward worked, and then I think from then he also self improved himself.Without pure dumb change of circumstance neither Kane nor Bale would have hit the heights if they had left spurs for lower league which was more on the cards than the complete turnaround they achieved. It is over simplistic, but right time right people was massive in both cases I feel. But only in helping light their fires inside, they have earned it since.
If you ask him (Kane),he was ready 10 days ago....... ha haFrom todays presser,THIS sums it all up
"He's not ahead of schedule but everyone knows that Harry is an animal, he wants to be ready as soon as possible," Pochettino said.
I dont think the lack of leadership we all spoke of 4 years ago is an issue now,we almost have a team of captains. The winning experience??I think we are nearing the peak of these players, they have more experience its just getting over the line, would one or two CL winning players help that?probably because they would be of a quality to have done that,is it a shortcut or possibility??I doubt it unless it is funded by Toby & Eriksen leaving.I think we have improved massively in the "shithousing" department often needed to help kill games, take time off, stop momentum.I take that as a sign of them really pushing now to succeed or learning to.Do you think these players can, with Poch needing to do the same with them, take the next step? or do we need a couple with experience?
