Monaco are destroying Dortmund! And if Messi had a right foot he'd be the best player in the world

Someone else mentioned this, but our results against Monaco, whilst nothing to shout about were relatively speaking half decent.

I want that Mbappe fella. Get him Levy, how hard can it be???

Yeah, I was going to re-reiterate this.... at a time of year where we actually weren't playing all that well. Think it'd be a different game now.

Juve absolutely schooling Monaco, unbelievably impressive. Really hope they go on to win the whole thing, I hate Real Madrid!

When you watch Monaco struggling over two legs to Juve, it does make you realise that there are some other fantastic players, managers and teams out there. I didn't like the way Juve approached the two legs, simply organised defending in numbers and hitting on the counter, but it was very effective. Same tactics may well work well against Madrid. Hope so.

Yup, think they'll be a real tough nut for Madrid to break down.

In terms of how they set up, I suppose when Allegri planned his tactics then he presumably looked at Monaco's strengths, which are their attacking prowess (150 goals this season, mental!) and set the team up to nullify that threat. I actually didn't think they were setup as defensive as say a Mourinho team, they were so quick to close the Monaco midfielders down and won the ball countless times in the middle of the park, rather than having the defenders soak up wave after wave of Monaco attacks. I thought their setup was really balanced. A team, a bit like ours right now, that is totally comfortable in terms of each individual knowing their role, I thought they actually made Monaco look pretty ordinary at times. You are right though mate, they are very reliant on a very strong defensive base.

Watching Isco tonight i cannot see him leaving Real!
He is some player ain't he...

He is they type of tricky lad we need. He is undoubtedly top of the tree with regard "that" type of tricky creative running with the ball player. Who are the next ones, the next level down from him who may be the ones vying for his crown in a season or two? It's them we need to scout and maybe take a bit of a punt on.

Modric is diminutive & lightweight yet the ball cannot be taken from him. It's almost comical watching others trying to tackle him.
Isco is seemingly more powerful & makes more threatening runs & is just as hard to dispossess.

Playing next to one another makes it very hard for the opposition to regain the ball.

Can't see Zidane letting Isco go. At least not cheaply. That opportunity is gone (if it ever was there).
