I cannot confirm Dele's playing tomorrow but I cannot confirm he's not playing. We have still training sessions today, we have still decisions to make. The only thing I can say is he's being very, very professional. I have only respect for him. He's being very professional, particularly yesterday when the team was preparing for the game and he wasn't.

It would be perfectly acceptable to have a lack of motivation, even a lack of professionalism for this training session but it was exactly the opposite.

He trained very hard yesterday. He has my respect and the respect of his teammates so it's possible he plays tomorrow.

I think he needs a few oppprtinities to prove his ability and commitment. At the moment Mourinho is not giving him those oppprtinities and that is just unfair and small minded of Mourinho. Dele is a better player than many who are playing - Lamela, Sissoko, Moura, Winks, Bergwijn for example.
Give the bloke a chance see what he’s got then decide. There’s plenty of players that can just run around a lot - Dele has skill and creativity, you don’t need 11 workhorses in a team otherwise you get workhorse football.

I agree wholeheartedly. It looks like he has to go somewhere else for now to retemper that steel, but regardless of what happens in January, I don't think this is the end for him.

At one point there was a train of thought that he changed when he switched agents and got himself a model girlfriend and all the endorsements e.t.c.

Then it was meant to be down to the cunt digging him out in front of everyone as being lazy in training but who knows?. I personally don't think it was that because he wasn't giving much of a fuck by then anyway.

But you're right, he really did (almost) have it all. I'm sure at one point a potential transfer fee of around £120m was being mooted if he ever moved on. I also do remember someone writing that he was often the first to turn up to training some days because he wanted to get the extra practice in as well.

The interesting thing is that the deal to take him to Everton on a "free" apparently had certain supposedly "easy" targets to hit that could potentially take the fee as high as £40m but I wonder what happens if he's not playing and they go down ?. Do they literally get him for free and then sell him on for a profit at Levy's expense ?.
