Fair play to him. What he's done is brave considering what the lad's been through. Hope he gets his head down now and proves to everyone and himself that he can salvage something from his career. Wish him luck..

Spoke really well and Neville did well guiding him along.

Will be fantastic to see Dele back up and running. Such a good player when he's in form.

Not listened yet but if true and the club knew... shit on them for not getting him help and supporting him through his issues.

I said a while back that I hoped it wasn't anything serious off the field. It's just good to see that he's getting help. Nobody in his situation is obligated to go public, but every time they do, it makes it that little bit more likely that someone else will seek help.

I'm honestly inclined to give these kids (and they are all kids) the benefit of the doubt, as so many stories like this come to the forefront.

Good point. Surely an organization with the size and ££££ as THFC would have some kind of structures in place beyond just an arm around the shoulder by the manager?

Sounds like he kept things pretty hidden, even from his friends. If somebody doesn't want help it it really hard. Hope he gets his career back on track. Would love to see him on top again.

Very happy to see Dele back on the grass. I do wonder where he'll end up ?. He'd need a place where there's not much pressure to succeed but where he'd start most of the games as well so he could find his mojo again.

Wrexham maybe ?

Good call. It would probably be the perfect fit for him. A step above in terms of talent. Adoration from the fans and the razzle dazzle of the Hollywood owners.
Look, he needs a confidence boost and I for one hope finishes his career with a smile.
Money means fuck all when you've got issues to deal with like Dele did. Good luck to him. I wish him every success.

I've said before MLS would be a good place for him. It's physically tough with all the travel, plastic pitches, extreme heat in the summer, etc but everything else would be great for him. Starting to see some players come over here and return to Europe better for the experience.

Yeah, they tour every summer now. They played Chelsea here in NC last summer. Needless to say I didn't consider attending for even a second.

If you're suggesting that Alli goes to Wrexham and then plays the Whitecaps, that's alright. But if you're saying Alli comes to the MLS, it has to be Toronto, not Vancouver. You lot get the ocean and the mountains, you can't expect to claim the Milton Keynes maven as well!

@spurious lol I only mentioned Wrexham v Whitecaps b/c @J.spurs referenced them in an earlier post.

As for the Vancouver's physical features, it is a beautiful landscape.
Love to travel & visit various parts of the world but Van is a wonderful place to return to.
Anyway, in March / April, you could be skiing at the local mountain resorts & within 30 mins be at the beach.

Ask @Cryptkeeper for his impressions.

This is great news. He’s secured what looks like a 1 year deal with Como in Serie A with options to extend.

He’s still only 28 so plenty of time to get his career back on track.

Really happy to see this. Honestly, though, he looks 45 years old in the face.

He's been selected for Como's matchday squad for their game today. Apparently his first appearance in any kind of matchday squad for a shade over 2 years.
