I think you are right, i wil say and defend it against anyone our back 5 player for position is the best in the league! There isnt anyone better than hugo kyle jan toby and danny! But we are not playing that well! Wanyama has been brilliant, and eriksen and kane have performed! I know i am such a fan but our icing on our cake will be lamela coming back! He adds a balance we miss
I think the point I was trying to make was that we are in fact playing very well, most points in a calendar year ever, better points and goals than last season etc. it just doesn't feel like it somehow....and that is a really good thing because it tends to mean that things will get even better. The difference this year of course is that all the teams around us have made seismic changes to improve.

Interestingly or spookily our 19th, middle of the season game last year was also Watford away - we won that of course.

I don't think the changes are really seismic, a bit wobbly on the old Richter scale but not as much as we all think. The dippers and the chavs are the teams that have made big improvements, the dippers have 13 more points and the chavs 27!!!! The scum have 1 more point than last year, City , United and us have 4 more than this time last year, so if you remove Leicester from the equation because they have crashed to the ground with 21 less points the real terms change is we have one more serious rival than last year. OK, I'm playing with the stats but that's what they are for innit?

When we beat Watford and the chavs we will be at most 7 points from the top with 17 games to play, if Stoke duff over the chavs then that could be just 4 points, I think, I haven't put a lot of effort into the calculations so son't go all Moe on me if I am wrong eh?

This season still has a lot of potential, we can easily win the FA Cup, the Europa League and the Premiership, the treble is on!

You would be one the one who`d know if this was total bollarks, but on twitter i saw that if we win against watford poch`s win ratio will be higher than will never be beaten tims ?

Anyway back to the thread,Dele was on football focus, they asked how he thought he might be doing in 5 years time after his meteroric rise in the last 12mths,he said "for the minute I have a contract with tottenham" ,didnt fill me with confidence!!

That depends mate, not in the Premiership, I don't think he will ever beat Tim's 59%, but Tim was only in charge of 22 PL games so it's kippers and custard. What you can do is take the best 22 game Premier League period of the Poch's Tottenham era, from the 14th December 2014 to and say he won 13 of those - so the same number of wins as Tim, BUT the Poch only lost 3 and Tim lost 4 so by the awesome power of stats - The Poch is the best! You can do the same thing with the results for the 22 PL games from the 19th December 2015 and get the same answer, 13 wins and 4 draws - so he has been better than Tim twice!

But, in ALL games including cups the the mighty Poch WILL be in front after the Watford win, even without picking the best bits, because they're both on 50% at the moment so one more win will give him some percentage bits more - can't be arsed working it out Tim only won 1 from 6 in cup games so that was pony as fuck! Poch has won 20 from 42 cup games, 48% nice!

AVB its still the best 'all games' manager we have had on win percentage (since Frank Brettell 2 centuries back, he scored 68% wins),AVB won 55% of all his games, so there is every chance that the Poch will overtake him and become the bestest ever.

All that old gonads just proves what bollock stats are because we all know that Sir Bill (49% wins in all games) was the best ever. His cup record was magnificent, 102 wins from 165 - 62%!!! Also according to stats Santini is the best cup manager ever cos he won 2 from 2 - 100%, bollocks eh?

Bonus Question! Who is the worst manager we have ever had for all games win percentage? I will give you a clue he only scored 31% and he was a fucking star on the pitch but not so much in the gaffers seat.

Winner! You win 2 bottles of my home made Carrot and Wheat wine! Disclaimer: Dorsets 23% Carrot Wine is not for human consumption.

Yep, 23%! I experimented with gradual sugar addition and a really powerful canadian yeast, I tried it a couple of years ago and it was disgusting, you could try it for me and see if it has improved, but don't come back and haunt me if it kills you dead.

At the end of MOTD tonight it was suggested by one of the rags that Real Madrid were preparing a bid for Dele Alli.....

I'll tell Real Madrid what they can do if Mr Levy doesn't shall I? Real Madrid you can fuck right off and find your own players. Cunts.

Isco swap??

Personally I think it's a load of cheap bullshit to fill newspapers in the transfer window, but you never know. I fucking hate that club, they just meander around the world cherry picking every clubs best players, money no object, bunch of wankers. With the possible exception of Man City and Chelsea (in terms of players actually coming through) every club in England invests in their own youth development, rather than buying success.

Its not me being moany but i dont think he has been that great this season. Maybe i just expect too much, i think he is trying to be too fancy too much
You serious?

I think he has been superb. He was a little mute during what seemed like the squads contract negotiations but now they're all boxed away it seems most of the squad are upping their game.

For me it's the same scenario as Bale, Modric, Berbatov (Not Keane it was his brand new boyhood dream remember..... Cunt).

If we match their ambitions and get them games in the competitions they want to play in he has no reason to leave. The money is ridiculous with them all being multi milionaires regardless of playing for Madrid or Margate ffs so money is only one small portion of the overall equation. It's about ambiton.

Unfortunately for us we are in a period of sever instability due to the stadium move. The financials of our club are without a doubt capped at the minute with them being linked to the completion of the stadium build. It's why we have tied down the squad on extended deals that kind of link in with the timeframe for New Heart Lane completion.

Let's invest and consolidate our assets by giving them even more of a connection with the club by winning trophies and making history at the pinacle of the game.

COYS.

Once he experiences winning the FA Cup and or the Europa League - he'll be staying on for the next giant step, the big one, the competition all professional footballers want to win, yep you guessed it - the League Cup, or that other European one that them Spaniels keep winning, that's not bad I suppose, but it doesn't have the true Spurs glory feeling like this:

carlingcup_zpsu4uyjidi.jpg

The Poch can join our list of star mangers alongside Ramos, Dele can join the list of Spurs legends with Hutton, Woodgate, Zokora, Teemu Thungummyjigio - and it goes without saying JJ, Thudd, Azza and Kaboom, legends that have never been slagged off here or in the other place innit? I think there were a couple of other players Lesley King and a couple of foreign chaps as well?

To Mr @skiathospurs - do you think you should change the title of this thread? Dele wants to be like one of them Brazzilianish blokes and just have one name now? What would happen if the English blokes like 'Gary' or 'John' just wanted to use one name, it would be confusing, I am easily confused.

If Real come in for Dele, it will should break Pogba's transfer record.

He is a better player

As much as it would hurt, it would be stupid to turn down that amount of money

I think the cunning ploy in all of this is to make Eric Dier have a 1 billion quid release clause..... Deli will go no where without his Bro so problem solved or serious kerbing enabling us to buy what ever we want.

..............and so it begins!! Lets fucking win something this year and see where we are at at seasons end. I hate RM also tbh and it wouldn't surprise me to hear that the feelers are out already. Read about the alleged swap for Isco and laughed tbh. Send us Bale and Isco and maybe we can think about doing something. They can fuck away off

If Real want him in the summer and we can't keep hold of him then so be it, he's good but he'll not be able to have the day where he decides he'll do loads of fancy shit that is of no use to the team like at Manure away in December. I think we'd be able to command 80 mil plus for him off them or a 60-70 and maybe one of Isco or James (Will that one confuse you @Dorset?) and to be honest I wouldn't be upset if we could get one of them two and huge fee too! I don't want to see him go but they are both fantastic players who seem a bit wasted there. James Rodriguez and 60 mil for example would seem hard to turn down and would represent great business for us.

No not yet!!!! Could be anytime now though, better not be tomorrow evening though!!!!

To be honest though James Rodriguez is one of my favourite players in the world, think the lad is pure class. I don't in anyway want us to get rid of Dele, but considering what we paid for him think if he was to be sold on then abroad for a tidy profit and top class player coming our way wouldn't be terrible like selling Berbatov to United last minute and getting Fraser Campbell on loan...

I was wondering the same thing @Liam, baby arrived yet ?

As for Dele, out of all the team he's the one player I do expect to leave the club- but not in the near future more closer to when this contract he's on comes to an end. He's very young and needs guidance. A lot of the decisions he's been making off the field have been a bit questionable and I do hope the influences he has in his life are actually positive and not built on greed. Feeling very protective over the kid and just hope everything works itself out.

As for the rumours with RM, they can feck right off. Oh and whoever it was that suggested that we should let Dele go and take in that waste of space Barkley...WTF have you been sniffing.

Someone posted a brilliant reply to a Daily Fail article about Dele's 'lingerie model' girlfriend celebrating his goals:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ham-star-s-headed-double-against-Chelsea.html

Good on you DM you mongrels. Prying into peoples private life and airing their dirty laundry. Did you stop to think how Eric Dyer will feel when he sees this? No you only thought of yourselves as usual.
Nice one Blinks from Oz!
