He said we had been in contact re Gomes and the feeling from within Wolves is we will pay what Wolves are looking for (around £50m is internal rumours - add ons included). Apparently talks have been positive thus far and there is a feeling from both sides that a deal could be reached this week .

To resist tying it off though, does anyone have any thoughts about Sterling to Woolwich? Seems bonkers to me, and more likely to disrupt than to enhance, but what do I know?

The best I can imagine is him dressed in red again, streaking down the wing to score at 94' and then having it taken away by VAR.
