Especially with some very talented young midfielders in the squad already
And when you think about the scattergun approach to transfers we have had in the past, this seems more like wishful thinking and a commercial opportunity rather than a build a squad to win things signing...

Expecting a center half , mgw and one other i cant discuss , son , solomon and gil will go .
Romero is staying and VDV is potentially being viewed as a full-back

Whether true or not, this is very interesting. Particularly the part of moving VDV to fullback

MGW I still think will happen. Talks have been ongoing despite what the press are being told, and although Forest keep moving the proverbial goalposts every time his people feel they are making headway, it suits nobody for him to stay.

Rodrygo interest is genuine from what I'm told. Oh yeah, being interested in a player, and getting a deal done are two very different things.

We should start to see the outs next week, and more change at the top table within the next few weeks/months.

Hey, sorry I haven’t been able to get on the site the past few days. I’ve been trying, so if I disappear again, it’s not for lack of effort!

Since Sunday, Lange has really been stepping things up on Simons. We’d actually made progress there before the MGW deal came into play, but once that surfaced, we shelved it to focus on Morgan.
Now that we’ve moved on from that, we’ve shifted our focus back to Xavi. Chelsea are pushing hard for him too, and Winstanley is aware of our approach. Lange is on standby to close the deal as soon as we get the green light from the player.
Xavi’s club have told him they believe Tottenham would be the better move for his development, and we’re ready to match an acceptable offer. That’s part of what’s currently slowing Chelsea down on their end.

Bayern have also re-submitted an offer to the player , but Xavi’s priority is still a move to the Premier League. Chelsea are still front runners but the player hasn’t closed the door on us

It’s a similar situation to the tel deal. The sell here to Xavi is his development both us and his club don’t believe the move to Chelsea is for the long term benefit of his potential .

mgw was so far down the line the club stupidly put all the eggs in that camp . Xavi the days prior was quite advanced as ghost will know after it had stalled in June .

Re: we can only work on one deal at a time?

transfer always get delays and hitches we just shifted focus which is common amongst most clubs to mgw as the layout on that would stop us from investing in Xavi as we believed it would break through. This opens the doors for sharks to take the bait which is always the worry

Re: feels like the neto deal
That deal 🫠 I’m sure I devised into that here before but that amazes me . This is slightly different I wouldn’t lose all hope yet

mgw was a long standing target from the end of last season but we never felt it would be achievable untill it was presented by CAA .

Told marca article is nonsense

Frank wants another midfielder, told not automatic we spend the mgw money every deal is judged on its own merit he was a 80-90 million player available for 60

likely will be a midfielder and possibly one more central defender

Harvey Elliott is on our radar

Connor gallacher may have some legs we had bid accepted when he was at Chelsea but he is a chelsea fan and did not want to leave things may be different now

As for Bissouma's replacement being Gallagher....... I don't believe that for one second and as far as I can see it's come from The Football Insider website who have linked us already to dozens of players we haven't even looked at, unless I've missed something? Anyway his replacement is already here in Palhina.

Re 10 the plan was mgw we do not have a back up plan currently

Not sure if this is the right thread for this because it's not specifically ITK, it was more just an agent theorising on what we are doing based on what he understands of the transfer market and the club.

Said all the big clubs are over spending. Said they will all be desperate to sell in the next few weeks and they ALL have to get players off their books. He said if they can't move the deadwood they may have no choice but to let players go they weren't planning on.

This could affect us twofold. It could mean finding real value in the market which would be music to Daniels ears, but it might also make it difficult to move players on with the market flooded with players available for below market rate.

He said the big clubs are all reacting to each other rather than the balance sheet and psr.

he thinks they've all panicked somewhat to what each other are doing and while it looks great it could cause problems.

I don't believe we are desperate. What I mean by that is whilst we do need quality we are already overstocked as far as pure number of players is concerned.

I literally only posted it because it's a possible explanation of what is happening coming from someone who understands the market and how the clubs operate far better than we do.

if you have any intention of bringing in Grealish, Garnacho, Jackson, Elliot etc, you speak to the player and then you say fuck all until the terms are heavily in your favour because they are desperate for outs. Right now the numbers being quoted for some of these are quite simply crazy for players these clubs need to get off their books.

** I am in no way saying we are interested in any of those players. I'm just giving examples using players linked in the media.

it's the wages of some of these players which is causing the problems. Selling them to each other doesn't solve that.

The first and second sentences may or may not end up being true. The third sentence would currently be true if you replaced the words "trying for both" with "concurrently in discussions with the reps and clubs of all three".
The question were all waiting to be answered is the usual one, ie whether the club want/are financially able to sign 1,2, or all 3. Within the next 2 and a half weeks we'll know the answer.

Even by ITK standards, this is particularly bad.

Been told this is almost there now. I'd been told a fee had basically been agreed so it's looking very likely 🤝🏽

Subject: Savinho off?

That's not what I've heard. Unexpectedly, at least to me, it seems the current valuation-bid gap for Eze is smaller than the one for Savinho, which one could interpret as that deal being closer, but there are other factors in play (beyond the control of THFC) in both cases. There's still time and much can change quickly, as we have all learned during this window.
