Nice one lads.... the ex spert hadvice is helpful.
I found an old router yesterday and was wondering if there was a way for me to retransmit my signal to upstairs so I can watch 4k porn in bed....
Would I need to run a cable from one to the other or is there a more expensive spert way.
Iv got some power line with its but I don't think they are much cop as my Internet TV in the boudoir done seem to be too internetty...!!!
Ok ...because I havnt a fucking clue what your in about mateQuestion to the geeks,
Could I use nat on my router and blame guest WiFi on lan ip for this connection?
Re-doing home cab , but that's another thread...
Duh, goes on Mac of device so no...
Ignore me.
I can't even turn mine on doesn't work from remote and think the power button is broke ffsMate mine went fucking mental for about a month.... deleted everything I could and simply reloaded a new version of a kodi on the home page and then Wookie onto that.
All the pre installed progs are still there in the background as they are built into the root programme and I have no idea how to get shot...
Clear everything you can and start again mate... I thought mine was bricked but it was simply the updates and code for the pre installed build not being maintained. Once I jumped and did it myself it's been mustard ever since.
If I was gonna get another I'd get an absolute clean slate box and do it all myself...
Minimal amount of stuff.
Sticky stuff that kebab sauce.....!!Got it sorted stuck power button phew nearly fucked itvout the window last night

Don't think so mate I watched the Utd game tonight no botherhttps://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www....mier-league-court-order-kodi-football-streams
This looks like bad news. Does anyone know if this will affect streams not via kodi?

I'm going mate I've about 5 meet ups hope I end up thereNot sure if they would be closing things down so soon. You going to the brickies on Sunday?
The actions requested by the Football Association and the Premier League (unfortunately abbreviated to "FAPL" in the judgement*),require ISPs to block addresses of upstream streaming servers used by plugins that allow access to retransmitted unlicensed content.
my vpn claims to be able issue new isp as soon as bbc or whoever block it,never been blocked yet anyway.Interesting:
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2017/03/14/uk_new_realtime_live_server_blocking_order/
I wonder if this block will include VPN servers, that would be bad. If it doesn't block VPNs then the whole thing is a waste of time, because everyone and his dog uses them eh? Your ISP can't know which server you are accessing if you are using a VPN, so they would be wee-ing in the wind. Surely this order can not include VPNs. I would be a bit grumpy if that happened.
And your VPN is.......my vpn claims to be able issue new isp as soon as bbc or whoever block it,never been blocked yet anyway.
I is laughing at this! I think him meaning IP, not ISP? Sorry, couldn't resist that.my vpn claims to be able issue new isp as soon as bbc or whoever block it,never been blocked yet anyway.
its a company called lamnia, used em for about 4 years, costs about £70 pa or less with offers, for me small price to pay for being overseas and getting all UK tv/iplayers/skygo.If ever there is a problem their response by email or on support chat has always been within minutes to sort it.Dont know if i was in UK i would have a VPN,as I said for me its access to UK tv rather than security, but if sky/bt start messing with your right to do whatever you want on the net then I probably would. You can get vpn routers now so your dodgy box,PS4,Xbox or whatever can go through it ,think its a one off cost to buy the router and then subscriptionAnd your VPN is.......
yeah sorry my geek factor is showing itself up for the lack of knowledge.I is laughing at this! I think him meaning IP, not ISP? Sorry, couldn't resist that.
This new blocking system from the feds is very different to the sort of thing the BBC did, they are implementing blocking at a different level. The BBC as a website tries to stop connections from VPN servers, that is fair, it's their website so they can decide who can and who can't see their stuff. This thing is more nasty and fundamental - ISPs (Internet Service Providers) blocking users from even accusing the servers that sites live on, it won't affect you in Greece as it is a UK Feds thing and even the wannabe tyrant May can't impose laws on other countries.
They are saying that these servers only provide illegal stuff anyway so blocking ALL users from accessing EVERYTHING on these servers while Premier League football matches are being played won't affect honest Johns. Cutting the connection for a few minutes at a time would obviously fuck up anybody's Internet usage. I don't see how they will be able to actually do this. First they will have to be able to identify the IP addresses of all these servers, then they will have to identify the new IP addresses when the servers change their addresses because the bastard feds are trying to block them. They will use tech like wot your VPN uses to change IP address. The feds haven't got a scooby about how the Internet works, stupid May still thinks Google IS the Internet and should remove 'bad stuff' from the web, that is like saying Yellow Pages should be responsible if one of their plumbers comes round 5 hours late and charges you 500 quid to change a washer.
Ooooh I love it when you talk dirty! Dunno mate, I think you can change or spoof mac addresses if you are doing network virtualisation, in fact you would probably need to. I also think, I don't know because that deep tech stuff is voodoo to me and I don't need to bother with it these days, but I am pretty sure you can change what the world sees as your Mac address, I have vague recollections from my Unix days of playing with ifconfig? Yeah, you can't change the physical mac address in hardware, but if a connected device asks you what your mac address is and you tell it a big fib then I don't think there is a way for that 'fake news' to be exposed. If I was running some dodgy server I would definitely not want to be identified by IP address or Mac address so I would do some jiggery-pokery.Excuse my ignorance.. question..
Ip's change from external to internal once it hits your router so tracking these are pointless. Mac addresses don't so individual devices can be blocked.. won't the feds just tell isp's to block the server ports from the mac address of the streaming server ?
