Count your blessings. He had a second appearance in my life when he came this way to manage Toronto FC after QPR binned him off.I remember mate... I do remember...

Four main reasons for this IMO:I read an interesting point a few days ago. Nuno was sacked after just 17 games having won eight. Mourinho was sacked five days before cup final but, to date, Ange is still in a job despite being statistically our worst ever manager.
It did make me wonder why really, especially when you consider someone like Rafa Benitez is available and has stepped in to clubs in this position before and gone on to win trophies.
Obviously he wouldn't magically fix every injury but it did make me wonder what sets Ange apart in terms of apparent job security.
Fair points indeed, but it just seems strange that the Dark Lord has established a fairly low bar when it comes to sacking managers and yet he seemingly doesn't want to do that with Ange.Four main reasons for this IMO:
1) He promises, and sometimes delivers, a style of football we all want to see, and that is in the club's DNA so to speak
2) Ange was described as a project manager at the beginning, and the number of young players we've invested in bears that out. So switching gears to a guy like Benitez at this point would be self-defeating and a total departure
3) There may be some managers out there that could right the ship when the injured players return, but what would righting the ship look like at this point? Finishing 12th instead of 14th or whatever?
4) Ange hasn't covered himself in glory during this period, but I do think it's fair to argue that most managers wouldn't have done much better
On paper, yeah, he probably is well past the sacking point for most PL managers, to say nothing of a Spurs manager. But I honestly don't know what getting rid in the middle of all this would accomplish.
Interesting that we are valued as the 4th highest in the Prem ahead of both Chelsea & Arsenal yet we don't act like it. And that right hand column is pretty damning.
For all his faults, Levy has undeniably elevated Spurs' commercial stature. But that is far from having translated to silverware. We don't even act like we're Everton. This entire club is pointless as currently constructed. It needs to be sold. There is no other way forward. The club is beyond Levy, and has been for more than a decade.
Agree with all of this. For all his faults, Levy has undeniably elevated Spurs' commercial stature. But that is far from having translated to silverware.
The problem resides in Levy’s dual responsibility - to ENIC as an investor & to Spurs as a football club - which creates an inherent conflict. No doubt his primary obligation to ENIC is to increase the club’s valuation & revenue streams, while, on the flip side, we fans desire the ambition to deliver on-field success. This balance needs to shift decisively toward prioritizing the latter because he's left the club’s footballing ambitions in perpetual limbo.
Like many, I would like Levy to remove himself from meddling in the footballing side of things. Maybe provide an annual transfer kitty which amounts to a set percentage of the annual profits & allowing for those far more qualified to do their job.
From 2021...So
Bit of a necro post but it doesn't warrant it's own new thread...
Did our and the collective fans message get through to him that we do not support him? That he has done so much to fuck up a generation of Spurs supporters dreams, that he decided to step back and alow actual football people, run the football side of the club...?
If so do you think he came to it of his own volition or was he pointed in the direction of the derision by someone else? Who?
Was Uncle Jo informed of the tide of shit approaching if this season doesn't go well and had a word in his shell like...?
Was it the prospect of him loosing the clubs talismans, a player who is the best in the world at what he does and a Spura fan?
Has the pandemic opened his eyes? Does he now see his own mortality and believes his time to achieve greatness must happen in his lifetime...?
Or is this the same shit he has pulled before by putting buffers in the way of the consequence of his compounded mistakes so that when the Axe drops.... he can again claim to be the all powerful hero doing his job diligently and saving the club from these moronic no marks who have screwed up the legacy of the club.....?
From me to you Levy.... We still fucking see you, you cunt. We know what you are and what you've failed to do over the years...! You're not a fan of this club and imo, your only course of redemption it to hand over your shareholdings to the fans.....
#LevyOut
At least they’re private investors and not a sovereign wealth fund. But yeah, pretty depressing, especially if he sticks around. We’ll go two steps up the Deloitte table and still have 13-year olds on the bench.Sounds like we're going to get the worst of both worlds: dirty money AND Levy stays.
Daniel Levy may continue to run Spurs in Qatari takeover plan

Don't see how believing this, accurately or naively, would have that effect. Wouldn't this just rile us up more? The point being, he doesn't care, he's not elected, so why would he plant false rumours?"Fans, drink some more of this coolaid to settle yourselves down"...
"That's another baying crowd quietened down for at least a month or two"...
I would expect increased investment rather than an outright acquisition in any case. But I do think a cynical response is probably not off base given the timing of the story.Don't see how believing this, accurately or naively, would have that effect. Because if this was his Schtick, he would look like he was doing his job, and it was every other cunts fault we're dog shit...Don't see how believing this, accurately or naively, would have that effect. I for one think we should be applauding Levy. It's refreshing to hear about a big club treating the women's squad as equals.Interesting and all-too-familiar read about Levy's approach to the women's team:
What is the big idea? Levy’s second-class Tottenham Women mired in mediocrity
