Big turnout for the protest today but it still ticks me off a bit because where were these protests when we were challenging for the title and getting to the Chanpions League final ?

The Dark Lord was a cunt back then and he’s still a cunt now.

Because us fans are a fickle bunch 😂 nobody moans when things go well….
It’s true. And I suspect the Dark Lord knows this all too well. Probably why he leaks a takeover story every time the fans get a bit antsy :)

One thing I credit Fulham fans for is that they’re very vocal in protesting their ownership even though they’re having a great season.

I got a tingle...its definitely a tingle.

Who knows whether there's any merit in this. Even if came from keys, who's to say he got bunged a few quid to come out with that to throw off the dogs for a bit.

Its not as if Levy doesn't have form.

What did it say b/c it appears that the article is no longer available
It was Richard Keys saying that a deal has been "done" for ENIC to sell the club to these magical Qatari investors.

Considering the tweet has since been removed, it probably falls back to the usual PR campaign from the Dark Lord whenever there are any protests about him.

Full text:

I had spoken earlier about the lower wages at Spurs would be used to get Spurs a better valuation for investment. @pokeefe1 had said something similar. My contact in Gulf who is very close to the royal family has told me following:

* PSG owners the “in” family in Qatari power structure and politics are in talks to buy Spurs
* Bein the media conglomerate will be used to buy Spurs and will also be the main sponsor
* What attracts the Qataris is Stadium and the fact that world class talent would want to come to London
* Qataris are insisting on having a tube station next to the stadium as condition of purchase. In exchange they’re willing to commit to area regeneration
* Qataris looking at this as a serious investment in the entire area. They don’t want to be known as vanity buyers buying a club and paying to win. They want a “win hearts and minds” approach the way Emiratis their regional rivals have done in Manchester
* Qataris also feel it’s time to make a statement in the biggest league in the world. There’s general understanding at the topmost level that if you’re not in the English Premier League you’re not really a serious player and having two regional rivals there already is slightly upsetting
* On Levy: “He wasn’t born yesterday. He’s driving a hard bargain”
* The Qatari interest from the same family as PSG owners is the most serious interest in Tottenham since ENIC took over. Here’s hoping it goes over the line.

Passing it on as I heard it. As they say in that part of the world - “And Allah knows best” 🤷🏽‍♀️😬

"He's driving a hard bargain" = "He's trying to fuck it over"

But let's say this does happen, if Levy is retained but denied any involvement in the footballing side, would that be acceptable or does he have to go completely ?

I've always felt 'get Levy away from the footballing side'.
It's evident after 25 years of this sh!t, he won't change & we'll continue down this fruitless path.

And FWIW, if I was an investor in Spurs / ENIC & had no interest in football, I'd be very happy with his work.

As I said earlier, this is the worst of both worlds. We still have Levy to kick around, and any success that ensues despite his best efforts to stymie it will be tainted by the blood money.

It’s inevitable unfortunately, if not, it will be another club to slowly sink behind in the league table.

can you imagine a West Ham getting this investment and going on a winning spree……

Personally I would hate the investment, but after winning back-to-back-back- trebles will soon be forgotten. 😂😂😂😂😂😂

I'll wait until it happens (or doesn't) to get depressed about it.

If negotiations are in fact happening, I'm with Dr. Evil on this one, I'd squeeze every shekel I could get out of those motherfuckers.

The problem with Levy is he is re-active and not pro-active . When we got to the Champions League final we got £178mil for our involvement in the competition . Following that success , instead of being pro-active and going out and buying another £70mil striker , Levy went 3 windows without buying a single player . Whereas Liverpool went out and bought players to maintain their progress . Look at Liverpool now and look at us . the chasm between us is colossal . Now we are in a spot of bother points wise - Levy is re-active and opens the purse and buys players . If Levy was pro-active - "a bit of a gambler" , he could have gone out and spent that £178mil on a few players to have another tilt at the title and CL the following year . Instead he waits until we are in a desperate situation before he spends any money
Don't get me wrong , Levy should be kept on as chairman by the new owners to generate money for the club - something he's brilliant at . But the football side of things should be dealt with by someone that knows a hell of a lot more about football matters . We are a big club , we have just lost our way a bit because we haven't had the right people dealing with the footballing side of things . This is just my take on things , but Levy made a very shrewd decision to involve Fabio Paratici to bring in players for a complete rebuild of the squad . Paratici brought in a lot of young promising players as well as a few established players to the squad . We had a complete clear-out of the existing squad and the results were obviously very good . Then Paratici got in trouble with the football police and got banned , so now we have Yohan Lange in charge of future purchases for the squad , and Paratici just as an advisor to the club . Scott Munn was supposed to take over from Levy as chief football officer , but he's just a name and nothing else , Levy is still balls deep in every bit of business . The big question is can Levy be told he can't have anymore involvement in the player side of things ? I don't think he could bear to be told he can't have a say in matters .

All part of the plan... They have zero intention of getting off the gravy train.
The article also mentions Levy's son Joshua, who I didn't know got an expanded role in Tavistock, which controls ENIC, when Joe put the firm in a trust. As you say, the Levys and the Lewises arent going anywhere. My takeaway from the piece was basically what we've been saying--this is about getting outside investment, not selling the club.

Soooo all those club sale, partial sale, new ownership, foreign investment stories amounted to the sum total of fuck all didn't they...

The convenience of them surfacing to take the spotlight off Levy & Lewis and look like the club were progressing towards a more modern form of ownership, was staggeringly timed...

Almost like the shit rags were fed tidbits from a source who had an interest in quelling any negative fan sentiment with hollow promises and fake stories...

We're a tiny community in this little corner of the internet and on the whole I think we represent real Spurs fans... Fans who remember the last trophy 17 years ago...

We're not casual tourists and maybe that's why we look at these things with Spurs tinted specs, and anger at the way our football has been left behind by the corporate machine that has replaced our football club...

I think Ange is done here, I don't think this side is redeemable regardless of getting players back from injuries and I think next season, whoever is stood on the touchline will face the very same problems and we will more than likely be in the very same position flirting with 10-15 place and playing some of the worst fucking lacklustre football we've ever seen...

I don't think it's all Anges fault but he has blame at his feet for the inflexibility and tactical naevity he has shown with an injury ravaged squad... His principals are one fucking thing but skirting this club with relegation to uphold them is fucking wrong. He and his morals are not bigger than the club, and he should act accordingly...

Levy & Lewis cop the rest. These cunts have built a Death Star of an organisation and we're the fucking Wookies who they're trampling on to enrich them selves...

The players are done. We have some superb players who seemingly have no idea what they're to do while wearing football boots and are playing alongside some absolutely bang average players who go missing when it's time to dig in and produce... The squad is schizophrenic in its make up and we need someone to clear out 6 or 7 big name and replaced them with players who are reliable. Reliable is way easier and better to deal with that brilliant and inconsistent...

Anyway Fuck Levy & Lewis...

What summed us up at the moment was the captain and vice captain making absolute planks of themselves taking that free kick against AZ.
We are all so out of sync at the moment it's embarrassing.
I like Ange, and his playing style lifted us as fans from the depths of depression following Conte and Jose. However, Ange is not up to it. I'm sure he works hard. But there's an arrogance and stubbornness about him that always annoyed me tbh. What's it justified by ? Winning league titles at Celtic ? Neil Lennon won more, yes, Neil Lennon.
But Levy has mismanaged us for 24 years now. Look at our squad...its a very average one. We are where we are because THATS where we are. We are a mid table side.
The problem that we face now is recruitment. What manager worth his salt is going to risk working with Levy ? They've seen winners like Conte and Mourinho become frustrated at attitudes within the club. We've watched Nuno excel before and after his spell with us. The only type of gaffer we're going to get now is someone who's got nothing to lose or a name that's been out of work for a while.
It's hard to look ahead with confidence to next season to be honest. Fuck knows what's it going to bring. More misery I suspect.

Levy's a cunt.

Next protest before the Palace game, then asking fans to not take their seats for the second half.

First bit I like, second bit is stupid IMO, the game isn't even on TV.
