Absolutely brilliant news, even without reading between the lines for Levy's future spending.

The squirrel had it first LOLZ........I think Poch has meetings with Levy this week to discuss Summer strategy, transfers etc. etc. i know that he has been at the training ground this week and involved in the hotel build there.
I guess we should expect some form of leaks from Friday onwards when Poch goes back to his house in Barcelona, personally I'd be happy with a few lovey dovey shots of him and Levy at present. If Levy pulls the rug from under him in any way, back tracks on any agreements, verbal or otherwise and Poch takes a hike, that would seriously harm my support for the club. I know I'm only one amongst millions and this is a conspiracy theory, but if true, it would kill everything that's been so recently brilliant, for me.
I'm not expecting Poch to be given ridiculous sums or to start paying players £200k a week, but we have to sign a couple of players at the very top level and give those here a pay rise. It's all achieveable with CL qualification and the increased revenue from various channels. A combination of that plus the existing young players improving and we'll be well set.
Sir Pochettino
Get that man a statue... Preferably one of him riding a cockerel in to battle! With a Lance... Obviously!
'Perfect'........Ha Ha haPerfect!
BULLSHIT !!I'm reading that he has a release clause if either Madrid or PSG come calling. Any truth in that do you think? Sounds a bit shabby if true, I wonder what might happen to Zidane if Madrid lose to Liverpool tomorrow night?
obviously i mean the article is bullshit not you !!I'm reading that he has a release clause if either Madrid or PSG come calling. Any truth in that do you think? Sounds a bit shabby if true, I wonder what might happen to Zidane if Madrid lose to Liverpool tomorrow night?
Have you read Brave New World yet? It would have been better ghost written by Alasdair Gold than Guillem Balague, because it comes across as a series of anecdotes, but you'd enjoy it. Some revealing insights.Great read with a spurs and pochettino timeline from Ramos until now.

OFC I read it!!Have you read Brave New World yet? It would have been better ghost written by Alasdair Gold than Guillem Balague, because it comes across as a series of anecdotes, but you'd enjoy it. Some revealing insights.
yeah, soz, silly question. It never really flowed as a narrative, more like a diary, which was occasionally frustrating.OFC I read it!!
Really enjoyed the insights even if yes it was a bit after dinner quotey.
Why would Levy agree to a contract that made specific exceptions for the gaffer to go to the only two clubs he'd probably consider going to in any case? The timing makes sense precisely because Madrid might sack Zidane if they don't beat the dippers tomorrow, why would a contract give him an out like that. Right up there with that Neil Ashton story I posted above that had Poch fucking off for Chelsea less that 24 hours before he re-signed with us.BULLSHIT !!
when has Levy ever done any clause except sell on.Dont @me Toby, cos the release fee of £25m is if we activate a 1 year extension when he will then be 30.Also i believe Pochettino has integrity,he would never insist on such a clause.Regardless he can leave anytime,he can be sacked anytime,he can renew anytime. How the fuck would marca know details of Poch`s contract day after signing?its pure media bollocks.
That is a superb read...Great read with a spurs and pochettino timeline from Ramos until now.

Interesting that they didn’t mention more about the status of the club during Ramos’ second season. This is the season I began supporting Spurs so remember it like it was yesterday. We were in last place with 2 points from 8 games when he was sacked. Even then I could feel something brewing at the club. Like there was an eruption deep down that was waiting to happen. You could always feel it through the raw passion and energy of the fans. Even to this day our fan base is cautiously unreserved, on the edge of the tipping point anxiously waiting for something to put us over the top.Great read with a spurs and pochettino timeline from Ramos until now.

And it begins...Why would Levy agree to a contract that made specific exceptions for the gaffer to go to the only two clubs he'd probably consider going to in any case? As i have pointed out, these are the same sources that 5 hours ago didnt have a fucking clue zidane had resigned, not even a whisper.
This is a non-story at present. It will stay a non-story if there is no agreement Gentleman's or otherwise between Levy and Poch, who I believe (having read his book) is honourable and has integrity. If there is an agreement, then we are in Luka Modric territory and I think Poch would stay for at least one more season and probably longer. Real Madrid being after you (even if it is true, which it may not be, it's just newspaper speculation and Poch signed his new contract before the Champions League final, which is a significant pointer to his mindset) it doesn't mean that he would go. Madrid needs a rebuild and I'm sure that Ronaldo would not be allowed his continued Superstar status under Poch tutelage. He would have to get things right immediately otherwise anyone who goes there can find themselves out of a job just as quickly. And it begins...

Tottenham Hotspur are braced for Real Madrid to push for Mauricio Pochettino as their new manager, just seven days after Pochettino signed a new five-year deal at Spurs.
Zinedine Zidane announced his surprise resignation on Thursday afternoon, after winning his third consecutive Champions League trophy, and Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has made Pochettino his number one choice for the job.
Perez has admired Pochettino for some time but this summer is readying a serious push to bring him to the Santiago Bernabeu, and is not thought to be considering any other choices for the role.
Any advance from Real Madrid would be firmly rejected by Tottenham. Just last week Pochettino, Jesus Perez and the rest of the coaching team signed new five-year deals at Spurs, taking them up to the end of the 2022-23 season. Signing those deals appeared to end any questions about Pochettino’s immediate future at the club, and Tottenham pointed on Thursday afternoon to the fact that Pochettino had signed a new deal just one week ago.
That contract is thought to not include a release clause, strengthening Spurs’ ability to say no to Real Madrid, but those close to the Argentinean believe he would be allowed to leave for Madrid owing to an informal agreement struck between coach and club. The Bernabeu club look set to test that theory.
Before the signing of the contract last week, Pochettino’s future had been one of the long-running stories of Tottenham’s season. He achieved notable success against Real Madrid in the Champions League group stage, earning a 1-1 draw at the Bernabeu before Spurs famously beat Real 3-1 at Wembley. He has been showered with attention by the Spanish media and when asked about the possibility of him replacing Zidane, has said that “you never know what is going to happen in football”. Only that he would never manage Barcelona or Arsenal.
At the end of the season Pochettino had left his future up in the air, speculating on the club’s future with another manager, and calling on the club to “be brave and take risks”. But after positive talks with the club hierarchy Pochettino did sign a new contract, promising the start of a positive summer transfer window with Spurs keen to invest in improving the squad. Even with Toby Alderweireld, Mousa Dembele and Danny Rose up for sale.
But Tottenham’s summer is now likely to be dominated by the biggest club in the world pursuing their manager like never before, meaning it will take all of Daniel Levy’s resolve to say no to them.
end of the day talk of a clause or gentlemans agreement is a red herring, poch can be fired, walk out, join another club anytime as could anyone who works in football management. This is a non-story at present. I think it’s a non-story too, but I imagine we’re going to see an entire summer’s worth of non-stories. Hopefully poch will make a statement soon, though some might say the new contract was statement enough. This is a non-story at present. He knew there was a good chance zidane would be gone if they lost in the final and so called interest in himself,so why would he sign just before the game?Makes no senseI think it’s a non-story too, but I imagine we’re going to see an entire summer’s worth of non-stories. 100% NoWould you swap bale as compensation?
100% No
Not a knocker at all, but let's not get all rose tinted about how good we are. Yes we're fucking great in comparison but we're fucking miles behind Citeh and if you wanna add Madrid into the mix, they had an off day while we were fucking superb in our head to head. Now I sound like I'm a bubble bursting cunt, and I am 100% not that as I fucking love where were at and in comparison to where we've been, I am as happy as a dog with 2 dicks to lick. I think the Moose and Toby will be huge losses. I would say that yes we could upgrade them and Poch will do his best but we need more strength in depth and that's mean upgrading these 2 and maybe still retaining them to slot in when necessary.Haha! I would have said 99% myself! Its weird i have no issue with what happens this summer! They will all get good contracts, there will be loads of shit rumours and when it comes to august we will have lost toby possibly dembele but the ins will make us better! Its actually make or break for poch, 4 seasons in with the quality of squad we have and a new stadium
