Brighton and Hove Albion vs Woolwich Walkers FC - Match Preview:
Brighton have only been beaten at home in the Premier League this season by top 5 clubs, Chelsea, Liverpool and City, this will of course continue when Tottenham Hotspur have a day trip to the seaside next month. Todays visitors to the Falmer stadium, Woolwich Walkers FC are struggling to hold on to their place in the tinpot Europa League for next season and are probably going to be overtaken by Burnley in the coming weeks.
Woolwich are without their top striker Lucozade who is 14th in the list of this season's goalscorers and will have to rely on goal-machine Ramsey who is currently a very credible 34th in the strikers table. Brighton's Glen Murray will be available and he has scored the same number of goals as Woolwich's top available strikers combined, Ramsey and Oozil.
As other noted correspondents have suggested, Woolwich are the fresher side having gone for a little stroll in their last 2 matches while Brighton had to run around a bit to beat Swansea 4-1 in their last match.
The Woolwich manager Mr Wanger stated in his press conference that the referee in today;'s game is totally biased, will award 23 unearned penalties and will not allow them the extra 3 or 4 hours they need to avoid a humiliating defeat, but he is confident that Woolwich will avoid relegation next season and if the BBC interviewer returns his slippers there will be custard for tea tonight.
Woolwich are to be applauded for their work with ex-offenders, disabled people and those with mental illness issues, Jack Wheelchair continues to be given a place in the squad.
A tough day for Woolwich but this correspondent is confident that they will be able to enjoy a very nice fish and chip supper on the Brighton seafront, maybe even a toffee apple and some candy floss which will help them get over the 3-0 loss. Mr Wanger has promised young Jack that if he is a good boy and does not get a red card then he can have a pound to play the slot machines in an an amusement arcade.
