Never would’ve thought the Argies would progress this easily. Very comfortable since the penalty.

The manager will be kicking himself for starting Saiss, he's been brilliant, but just couldn't keep pace with that dodgy hamstring of his. But that was yet another brilliant game of football.Morocco were amazing, if they had a striker they would have mullahed France! Our team should be forced to watch a replay of that game before every match to demonstrate how much effort they need to put in.
Yep, and will prove finally that Messi is a class above Ronaldo in every way. A team player that celebrates equally whether he scores or not. Doesn't throw petulant hissy fits if things don't go his way or he doesn't get a pass. Just does his job brilliantly! Really hope they do it.Them Frenchies are a bit rough, how the fuck none of them have been booked I dunno. Kounde should have had at least 5 bookings. I hope little Lionel and his chums win this, it would be a great end to his international career.
In terms of 'on the pitch', front to back this was one of the best. This World Cup was amazing. fuck the host country, they had nothing to do with it. The standard of football, goals, saves, games was outstanding. The final was one of the best games, told a proper story.
love it
What struck me throughout was the pace of play, almost like PL games. The final was unbelievable in that respect (and many others). This World Cup was amazing. fuck the host country, they had nothing to do with it. The standard of football, goals, saves, games was outstanding. The final was one of the best games, told a proper story.

Good keeper but what an idiot of an adultOh, and the final also gave us this immortal image:

It, um, tickles me that he took over the biggest stage for a bit of a laugh. And it pleases me even more that none of the journos could bring themselves to wven mention it in any of their reports. Yeah, he was childish, but the prudery is even more infantile.Oh, and the final also gave us this immortal image:

Messi was class, Martinez was less. It, um, tickles me that he took over the biggest stage for a bit of a laugh. And it pleases me even more that none of the journos could bring themselves to wven mention it in any of their reports. Yeah, he was childish, but the prudery is even more infantile.
Juvenile, stupid, and classless. And I've laughed every single time I've seen the photo. It, um, tickles me that he took over the biggest stage for a bit of a laugh. And it pleases me even more that none of the journos could bring themselves to wven mention it in any of their reports. Yeah, he was childish, but the prudery is even more infantile.
The fact that football is so fucking good is why pricks like the Qataris and Saudis are so desperate to attach themselves to it. I watched nearly all of it too--it was a brilliant tournament, especially the knockout rounds. Still can't get over that final. It's hard to think of any event like that where two players most people recognize as top of the game deliver individual performances like Messi and Mbappe did. One journo over here was comparing it to the Thrilla in Manila, and those two gents nearly killed each other. Some people are real fucking hippykrits innit? I said right from the start that I wan't going to watch any of this World Cup, I watched nearly all of it. The football was very enjoyable, watching Messi yesterday was a privilege, he's a bit good eh? It was a really good final, great football, a shit (in my mind) referee that I could have a nice moan about, but Shearer and Lineker said he was good - what do they know? I'm glad Argentina won, Ozzie, Ricky, Mauriccio (both of them),Erik, Giovanni, Paulo and even poor old Frederico - he was a bit pony innit, Christian (didn't even get a red card, well done chap) and the one Levy let go for fuck bleedin' all, Juan will all be very proud. Great end to the Magnificent Messi's international career - he can give that nasty orange Portugese bloke a ring and ask him how many World Cups he has won.
