I guess what I mean is that he has been performing to his level, whilst not many others are. If everybody is at their ceiling, he'll still be good, but part of a squad rather than a standout.
I'd have agreed with this last season, but I'm not sure now. He's obviously kind of ponderous and predictable cutting in from the right, but in the number 10 position he looks very good IMO. He moves the ball quicker and with more directness than Maddison, and he's also a threat from the dribble.

Need to bring the Moose back in as a trainer for Kulu. Guy is great a dropping the shoulder, Moussa could teach him the way of the samurai

Does it make sense to say that yes, he's been our best player, and still maintain that he's just not good enough?

Meaning, everyone else has to step up (time yet for Solanke, clock ticking on the veterans) or we need newer toys.

I’m confident that Solanke will be ok once he gets decent service but with Werner and Johnson out wide I’m not sure that he will
