Perisic has done his ACL in non-contact training and is out for the season.

Suspect he’s played his last game for the club.
Don't wish I'll on him at all but I've never been a fan... Makes Johnsons arrival more important and forces Richi to get his shit together.

I re-watched the highlights of Ange's inferior Celtic having a go at Real Madrid during last season's CL. They fearlessly went at Real & looked the better side especially in the first 20+ mins. Despite losing 3 nil they Never Stopped.

I expect the same from a much superior Spurs against the double rectals.

With Perisic’s age, I suppose you also have to wonder if he’ll come back at all. Definitely played his last game for us though which is a shame as I think he’s been quality whenever he’s come on this season.

Could mean Brennan Johnson’s role gets even bigger over the coming months as well.

Well that really sucks. He was a great option off the bench from fullback to forward. Big loss imo.

Bryan Gil’s preferred position is on the left and he certainly has the sort of ability that Ange is looking for so could also be a big chance for him

Agree he's been quality when he has come on this season (Fulham debacle excepted). Also agree his race is run. I did my ACL when I was 20 and in the best shape of my life, and I was never the same again.

Doesn't bother me now, but that's because I don't try to run twice a day anymore. And I seriously doubt I was ever as fit as he is now.

You may be a little harsh on @spurious.
I feel his form has been OK.
He did mention he had done his ACL when he was 20 & hasn't been the same since.
Maybe a little more understanding & compassion for him @Yid & with your support he may come back stronger with fewer mental health issues. ;)
I'm rooting for him.

Sorry, in a weird mood.

Hehehe. Maybe it's the people in my life who are the problem. If I was looking to cut a bunch of cunts out to improve my psyche, where would I start looking?

Is Perisic mental as well - or is everyone mental these days cos it's trendy?

The final day of this season is apparently May the 19th next year so I suppose it’s not entirely beyond the realms of possibility that Perisic could feature again.

He may well want one more outing just so his career doesn't end on an injury.

Damn. At his age, maybe his last game anywhere. Really hate to hear this.

I like him, his crosses can be beautiful like Trippier's sometimes, he has experience and vision. Not a 'worldy' maybe but a useful member of the squad.

Very bad news, especially with Johnson still out.

Gil is back in full training at least, but if you consider how well Richarlison looked last week playing on the left then we might get away with it.

International break after Saturday as well so Johnson could well be ok either way.

A month ago, although it seems longer.

This one starts October the 9th and ends on the 17th.

Also got the African Cup of Nations to contend with in January with Bissouma and Sarr certain to be unavailable.

Yeah I knew about AFCON, here's hoping Bentancur is back to close to 100% by that point. Thing is, I actually like international football, but there's just too much of it these days.

Rodrigo Bentancur

Rodrigo Bentancur continues to step up his recover from the ACL injury he suffered in February.

The midfield has been pictured joining in with first-team training, though that has only been for warm-up exercises and Spurs are keen to ensure they do not rush Bentancur and risk a setback.

Postecoglou has stated that November still remains the target for his return

Potential return date: November 2023

Brennan Johnson

A hamstring injury picked up in the north London derby last month has kept Brennan Johnson on the sidelines over the last couple of weeks.

He was absent for the trip to Luton on Saturday and will not be involved on international duty with Wales, but Postecoglou is confident that the forward can make a swift return to action after the break.

“Brennan Johnson is close but he’s not quite 100% and with the international break we’re kind of hoping he’ll get that time during that to be available straight after,” the Spurs boss said ahead of the Luton clash.

Potential return date: Monday October 23 2023 vs Fulham

Manor Solomon

Tottenham confirmed last week that Manor Solomon has undergone surgery on his right knee after suffering a meniscus injury in training.

No exact timeframe has been given for his return, but the forward is expected to miss at least a couple of months and so is unlikely to play a major role for the club before the end of the year.

Potential return date: December 2023

Ivan Perisic

A statement from the club last month revealed that Ivan Perisic had “suffered a complex Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury in his right knee”.

It is expected that he will miss the remainder of the season and with his contract at Spurs expiring next summer, the 34-year-old has potentially played his final game for the club.

Potential return date: Summer 2024

Ryan Sessegnon

Like Bentancur, Ryan Sessegnon has been out of action since February.

The left-back had surgery on a hamstring issue over the summer and is yet to return, but has started light training as he continues his recovery.

That remains by himself though, with a return to first-team training not imminent.

Potential return date: November 2023

Ange Postecoglou's Tottenham were the first team to play in the last round of Premier League games and will be the last in action next weekend. The extra days of break that it provides Ange Postecoglou and the members of his squad could be crucial.

Having put everything into the scrappy 1-0 win over Luton before the fortnight of disruption, Postecoglou and his men have been able to enjoy their place at the top of the Premier League table but could find themselves back down in fourth by the time they kick-off against Fulham on Monday.

What the extra period between games does do, though, is give returning international players more recovery time. Cristian Romero will be in action with Argentina on Wednesday morning, just three days before the early kick-off and his teammate Alexis Mac Allister plays for Liverpool at home to Everton on Saturday.

With a long journey back and plenty of reliance on both players, Postecoglou will be able to plan for a fitter and less fatigued South American star compared to Jurgen Klopp. The same is true of Richarlison. He played in Brazil's 1-1 draw with Venezuela on Friday and will be similarly in action on Wednesday morning before a long journey back, the extra two days of recovery time could be priceless for him.

For others in the squad it is simply more time to get over niggles and knocks that they have picked up in recent weeks. Brennan Johnson has only played twice since joining Tottenham from Nottingham Forest on deadline day. He has struggled to find fitness and an injury-free period but was left out of Rob Page's Wales side for the international break and could find himself in line to play against Fulham.

"The communication between us and Tottenham has been first-class. It’s about having mutual respect," Page said ahead of his team's Euro 2024 qualifiers with Croatia and Armenia. "Both managers want a talented player fit so it’s about working together. I’m not going to insist that he has to come away and we’re going to play him, jeopardise his safety and health.

"I wouldn’t do that. But they also understand the importance of our games. We’ve had great conversations with them, but ultimately his injury will dictate whether he can meet up or not."

Elsewhere for the Australian manager there are only long-term injury worries to deal with. Rodrigo Bentancur, Ryan Sessegnon, Ivan Perisic and Manor Solomon are all out whilst Bryan Gil made a long-awaited return to the squad last time out.. Bentancur is the closest to a return his Spanish teammate being available for selection once more.

Bentancur is unlikely to be back until the next international break in mid-November but will provide a key boost for his head coach once up to sharpness again. Luckily for Postecoglou there have been no new worries picked up during the break for him to take into account.

Son Heung-Min hadn't been playing at 100% before the time away but was handed a rest for South Korea in their win over Tunisia last week. Managed by former Spurs striker Jurgen Klinsmann, Son is set to face Vietnam with his country on Tuesday but due to it only being a friendly may see him given a reduced role as well.

James Maddison started England's win over Austalia but was taken off in the second half. He could find himself in action for Gareth Southgate's side for the more important Euro 2024 qualifying clash with Italy on Tuesday but luckily is already in London and has even been training at Tottenham as part of the preparations with the Three Lions for this game.

With less travel on his plate it is certainly another one that hands Postecoglou a marginal gain.
