You're probably right but it just makes me angry because the kid has clearly been played into the ground when he could have been handled better. To the best of my recollection he apparently had a fairly major operation last summer as well and having to play almost every game since then wouldn't have helped.

It now appears to be that it'll be 8 weeks but he will not require surgery.

On top of Solanke out for 6 weeks, Brennan Johnson is now expected to be out "3-4" weeks according to Ange.

Our “injured” team would comfortably beat our fit team.

Never seen anything like it.

If we just had center backs we could field a decent side. Having to replace 4 of our back 5 every week makes all of the other shuffling a bit academic.

What happened to Solanke?

Edit: ahh, he hurt his knee 'ahead' of the Everton match.

At this rate Mason and Jedinak will start on the weekend. We could certainly do worse...

Being reported that Pape Sarr pulled out of training today but the extent of why is unknown at the moment. Ange will apparently spea about it at his presser later.

A few of the main aggregator accounts have been spreading a tweet from earlier that claims Solanke has done his MCL and won't be back until early March.

I wouldn't buy in to it too much yet because it was only a couple of days ago that "sources" claimed the club were hopeful of him being back in time for the second leg of the semi-final.

I don't want to think about it being true though ..

Fuck Levy and all that, but this is shoddy journalism. If revenue increases, wage bill as a percentage of that pie will necessarily be smaller. Because the pie is bigger, not because Levy's cutting smaller slices.

It does mean that we shiuld be able to afford folk like Skriniar (or even Osimhen). But let's get the brickbats right before we throw them.

we also have the risk of when we pay new players more money, the rest want an increase.

but considering we should be able to afford it, we should be looking to pay more money.

Only the ginger lad has put himself anywhere near being in a position to even think about taking about wage rises...

The rest are shower of shit and should think themselves lucky not to be investigated by trading standards for impersonating footballers...!

Ange Postecoglou reported that Richarlison was troubled by a groin injury in Sunday’s Premier League clash against Leicester City.

Richy opened the scoring on 33 minutes but had to be substituted 10 minutes into the second half - by then, we were trailing 2-1 after Leicester’s quickfire double after half-time, and that’s how it stayed at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

It was another tough day for our already-depleted squad as James Maddison was a late withdrawal. However, Ange did have some positive news with Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero, out since October and November respectively, ‘getting close’ to a return.

The assumption was that Ange was looking after Richy’s fitness in terms of minutes played after his recent return from a long-term absence. However, speaking on our Review Show, Ange told us: “He’s actually feeling his groin. He probably should have come off at half-time, but he wanted to stay out there and do another 10 minutes. I could see he wasn’t moving very well, so we had to take him off.

“Pape was the same. He shouldn’t have started today, but we lost Madders really late, so we had to make a change and start with Pape. I can’t get away from the fact that these players are giving everything they can. They’ll get some help soon. In the next 10 days, two weeks we’ll get some significant players back, and that will give a boost to the whole group. As I keep saying to the players and the staff, there are still great opportunities to make this season a special one for us, we need to dig deep and focus on that.”

Asked if we could see some players back for our final UEFA Europa League league phase game against Elfsburg back in N17 on Thursday night (8pm UK),Ange added: “We’ll see. There are definitely a couple getting close, Micky and Cuti, they’ll be training with the group, and even just having them training is great. There are another couple who are not too far off, on the horizon as well, so that will definitely help.”

Spurs now have only eight players available who are over the age of 18. Here is a message between Ange and Levy

With Maddison’s injury, Some have commented that if we don’t sign anyone then Ange should walk rather than be sacked as it would be the ultimate way to expose the club’s hierarchy for what they are.

Part of me would hate to see him go but if he did resign and gave Levy both barrels it would be glorious.

At the rate we’re going we’re potentially going have to start asking for postponements if more players get injured.

That is unbelievable. If I hear one more pundit say, "I know they have a lot of injuries, but..." I'm going to lose it.

Still no real noise around the club ownership...

The consequences of being turned into a fucking tourist trap...
