And again, fucking around in our own area nearly leads to a fucking goal.

We’re going to get a hiding at the rate this is going. They seem to be terrified of their own shadows

Great attempt from Johnson, sadly a great save. I was about to say Sarr has been pony until that cross/shot? Game on now!

Improved towards the end of the half but we weren’t good.

I don't even know where to start...

Saka is good... Udogie is good but Johnson maybe needs to help him out a bit...

Can see Udogie getting the hook as his yellow puts him at risk...

Poro also needs to do more against Jesus...

But none of that is necessary if we're actually in their half and making them do some defending... feels like midfield is theirs and they're stopping us getting out... we maybe need to mix it up a but and get further up the pitch because A) that's where their goal is and that how we score... and B) it relives the pressure on our fullbacks...

Saar and Bisouma with absolutely unnecessary bookings also put them as one professional break stopping foul away from ab early bath...

Too many errors, but they've forced us into them and outsmarted our plan A... we need to see more of the plan B.

Ok, well that was better than expected tbh.

Their only real danger is Saka, other than that, their only threat has come from us pissing around with the ball at the back. Sarr’s struggling with the pace of the game a bit but decent signs in the last 10 mins from the boys. They do look vulnerable at the back. Bit worried about these yellows, other than that, need to move the ball quicker.

Very decent performance after a shaky first 25 minutes.

Take a point there, absolutely.👍

Fair result... nah fuck that, they spunkilly got an OG that was going wide and the pen was not a fucking pen by the laws of the game...

Shows how reliant we are on JM for creativity... we've got to find another solution to that... we need more and while Bisouma (who was absolute quality again today) is superb, shows getting more creative options is a necessity.

Was kinda shitting myself for this one but after a tough opening 35, thought we stuck it to it really well, played some decent stuff, and gave a really good account of ourselves.

Very proud of the lads.

I know lots don't like the short goal kicks and the knocking it about at the back, playing triangles to suck the opposition in... but I love seeing us on the ball being brave and taking a modern progressive approach to building up possession and play.

Yeah there's a risk but the more we do it the more possession we have and the more we can impose our vision on the game...

This match proved just how important Madders is in our side. He makes everything tick 10 or 15% faster and with more quality.

Take him and Bisouma out of our side (or mark them out of the game) and we struggle massively...

Hope Johnson isn't out for too long he adds real direct running stretching teams... he may have to do more running the other way in tougher games but I can see him getting a few goals from out wide... him, Solomon and Udogie look like a very solid left side.

Vicario did very well again, made my arse nip a few times but overall played very well with some important stops...

I didn’t think we played all that well but all things considered you could probably make a case that we deserved more than the point—very unlucky on the two goals, and they really looked a bit toothless. Dembele-esque performance by Bissouma in the second half, and thought Van de Ven had maybe a MOTM performance if not for Sonny.

Van de Ven - brilliant. Emotions aside , a draw was a very good result. The performance was equally very good for me against a very good Arsenal team. Coming from behind twice as we did, showed very good spirit which can only get better. Our team spirit and togetherness got us through today, may it continue. COYS

RE playing from the back: As you say there’s more than a few heart in mouth moments almost every game, but it’s worth it to me. At the end of the day it’s really about good decision-making and execution however you play.

Draw was a fair result I think, as much as I love us beating those fuckers. Didn't play fantastically well but for a game that was the definition of "see where we are" I think we're in a pretty bloody good place at the moment.

While Van Der Ven was excellent today, so was Porro. He's been an absolute revelation under Ange.

And, again, the "cheap option" in goal stood out.

A shitty penalty and an own goal, that's all they managed. Cunts :)

Yep, these fucking shit cunts are gonna get fisted when they come to the lane...!!!

I am no where near celebrating the result because I think VAR is an aids riddled bag of bollocks and we scored their other goal for them... they should be celebrating that point more than us.

But the performance and character shown by players who didn't know each other 6 months ago was superb. Madderes/Ange are righ, it's brave football, which allows it to be exciting, which in turn is very entertaining.

First "real test" navigated imo. We didn't pass with flying colours but we're ontrack for a solid grade right now... lots of the season left for us to wobble and suffer injuries etc but very happy we didn't melt... we did the opposite infact, we became steelier and more resilient...

All it took was to play football in a brave and progressive way... to try and win games instead if bore the opposition into submission... who would have thought that possible...!!!

Now, the big game of the season coming up... have I mentioned I hate these dipper slag cunts...!

I don't just not like that fucking around, I fucking hate it, It gave me a heart attack 7 years ago, the cunts nearly killed me. If we were good at it I wouldn't have a problem, but we ain't. Watching our current team in the opposition half is a joy, watching us struggle to get out from a goal kick is painful. We nearly conceded twice on Sunday, we got lucky. OK, we deserved the points and in some ways we were unlucky not to get all three, dodgy penalty and a lucky deflection for their goals , but giving quality opposition these chances gets right on my thrupnies.

We are getting better at it mate. And we will eventually be good at it but that will take practice…and that means doing it in a match, not just on the training track where there are no consequences.

Ange wants us to have the ball, unlike the last two cunts. That in itself is refreshing. And so we have to take the good with the bad.

The juice will be worth the squeeze.

Getting better? Have you been to Specsavers recently? We have been 'practising it' for fucking years - and we are still totally pony at it. The only consolation is that Vicario has to better with his feet than Hugo, and hopefully he will get better at reading the game and making quick decisions, but I hate it.
