Apparently Martin Oliver was advised to go to the pitchside camera to take another look at the foul on Kulusevski for the penalty shout.

He declined.
It's the ref's prerogative to check or not but that he declined in such a crucial instance in a London Derby with much at stake, is shocking.

I wish I'd kept it but I found a twitter thread earlier that listed each mistake he'd made in the game and I think shocking doesn't even cover the half of it.

We could whinge the feck out of ourselves here. Bottom line, if we were good enough we'd beat them. We didn't, cos they adapted themselves differently. They let us have the ball, knowing that they were so much stronger at counter attacks and set pieces. And we got DONE. Plain and simple.
If Oliver looked at VAR it could've been different...yes, but if my Aunt had bollocks she'd be my uncle.

Considering the points we got against Liverpool, I don't think we can throw our toys out of the pram on this one.

Move on.

Absolutely, but it's his first season in the PL so if it happens again next season he'll have no excuse. The smile he's put on this fan's face since he's walked in the door means he gets that chance.

@Dave by no means am I blaming the ref or whining.
We may have bad days at work; players have bad days; so do ref's. It simply compounds the frustration of not getting what needs to be, or should have been, done.

As for Ange, at this juncture, I'm a massive fan & supporter.
He's instilling a style of play that longtime Spurs fans have been craving.

But he's got a great deal to change at the club. It's culture had been eroded to some extent. The players he's inherited don't all fit his plans. First & foremost, he's trying to ingrain a certain mentality into them so what they do on the pitch becomes second nature. He can then work on other aspects of our game.

Factor in his biggest challenge, winning over what some fans call the club's Emperor who oversees things from the comfort of his Death Star. If Ange can bring him back from the dark side...

For those already doubting Ange, please consider that that's a big ask for anyone.

I'm guessing they start at 6 and go up or down dependant on what they do... Because this clown did fuck all...

A 6 is barely acceptable, 6.5 acceptable, 7 good, 8 very good. 5 is poor, beneath that varying degrees of poor. I only deemed 3 of our players to have performed well.
Johnson did make a few good penetrative runs and had a volley shot blocked from memory. He was brought on for Werner but is not best on the left.
