Football contracts often amaze me really. You never really get 'sacked' like normal people and you often still get paid until the point you actually get another job.
As a fan, especially a Spurs fan, it's a shame they always have these NDA clauses, because it would be fun to hear Conte, as much as I was annoyed by him, get stuck into Levy after getting the sack.

I hear Vincent Company is being considered. Interesting one. Would be fairly happy to take a punt on him. Let's see...

I am lads sorry, I literally can't get back on this ride...

I am 100 out out.
No need to apologise lad. It's knocking the stuffing out of all of us I'd imagine. It's just the same old shite. Once that plank Levy sits at the top table, we'll never be anything other than "Also rans".
We've seen JM and Conte fail yet achieve EVERYwhere else. We've seen the best chance of winning the title since 61 slip away because of him and his lack of support for one of our best coaches since then.
It's soul destroying, it really is.
Man City, Arsenal, Man Utd, Newcastle, Chelsea(yes even them) and Liverpool (yes even them too)are way ahead of us imo. Look at Villa now and look at Brighton.....then look at us!? We haven't a hope of competing in the foreseeable imo. Not with him.

I am also worn out by it all.

Daniel Levy has sapped all the enjoyment out of it for me.

It is such a strange state that we are in.
The football has been abysmal.
So many positional holes to be filled.
Such a lack of club direction & playing philosophy.
Yet we're still within reach of a CL spot.
Imagine if we were run properly.

For sure the most important thing is getting in new owners, but if you ask me who is in charge this time next year, my guess is ENIC
Therefore my hope for nextc season is simply we get a manager in who takes all competitions seriously and is encouraged to do so by the owners.
I would love us to win the ECL next year if we finish 7th, for example

I applauded all your optemism guys, keep that flag flying for as long as you can because the other side of the fence is a bitter place where I see nothing but a spiral of bullshit and excuses.

Harry Kane can't keep carrying this squad, this club, the fans... imagine what he could do with the right players around him...

Imagine how good he'd be in a Citeh shirt... the freak would be on the bench while Kane destroyed all records possible...

Anyway, we can have any number of rides on the managerial merry-go-round as you want to bring in "fresh thinking", we all know the real cancer at this club runs much deeper and it will be way more painful cutting it out.

I personally want to see us under new ownership, new philanthropic ownership who delivers us some success...

I don't give a shit what flavour it is anymore, Arab, American, Russian whatever... just not more of the same because the literal definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again in the same way and expecting different results.

I'm not insane, I want different results.

Jack Pitt-Brooke in the Athletic on Poch:

"His name was sung louder than ever during Saturday’s game. He is still out of work, for now, and would be open to coming back to Spurs. But he is not under active consideration by Levy and Paratici, and there has been no direct contact with him about his old job."

If this is true, it really is remarkable.

Is it though....
I know what you mean, but yes. Mainly because in many ways Poch is the ideal manager for Levy--aside from being well-liked by the majority of supporters, he's best working with younger (less expensive) players and wouldn't demand a huge transfer budget.

Plus, it suggests that Paratici has a big role in the search. Considering he is banned from football (and is likely to have his ban upheld on Wednesday) one has to ask, what the fuck?

Levy's biggest problem with hiring Poch is that he still needs to get him his two new center backs. That just ain't happening. We are screwed. I actually enjoyed Saturday's game and wasn't even upset when we conceded. I think Levy has broken me.

Not that things are good, or that the complaints are unjustified, but I actually think in a lot of ways we're in a better place than when Poch took over.

Yep, Levy's broken you my friend.

We lost at home against Bournemouth and you enjoyed the experience? Wow.

Depends what way you look at it. Yep we have the shiny things now but are we actually better on the pitch ? Have we a better squad ? I don't know. I think we're further away from competing with the elite than we ever were tbh. We've become a mess inside a tangled Web with too many suits and too much unjustified ego's from individuals that don't step foot on the pitch.
The season before Poch took over we finished 6th and 10 points off the top 4. I don't see us finishing any better this season tbh...

Apparently it's expected that Kompany will reject any job offer because he wants to manage Burnley in the Premier League.

With Nagelsmann almost certainly going to Chelsea and Poch allegedly "not even a consideration", the field is narrowing down even further.

The Dark Lord has allegedly been a long time admirer of Rodgers and some people feel he'll at least be interviewed.

Louis Enrique is still apparently in the mix even though I think he's not really suitable, but then Levy would likely put two and two together and come up with six as far as he's concerned.

If we're not going to bring Poch home, I still personally think Potter wouldn't be the worst choice. We've got a lot of talented youngsters in the squad which I think he could work with. Bissouma excelled under him at Brighton as well.

From the managers I know about Brighton Brentford and Bournemouths ones seem good
The three Bs, the Bs knees what could go wrong 😂
TBH with ENIC in charge and our tepid and toxic home support in the stadium, just cant see any manager succeeding
All I ask is the new manager and the old board both agree to take all competitions seriously including LC and ECL

Yeah I guess it's hard to say. Really I just mean that that there was a lot of dead wood in that squad as well--maybe more--and we might tend to look at it in a slightly more positive light due to what happened after Poch took over.

I've said for a while that what really has me alarmed is the fact that there doesn't seem to be much coming out of the youth system at this point. That is definitely worse than it was in the post-AVB/Tactics Tim era.

Well, we scored goals and attacked. Better than what we've done for most of this season. At least I didn't doze off. And yeah, low bar and all. And as mentioned above, what the hell has happened to our academy? It's Skipp and . . . basically absolutely nobody.

He wouldn't.

Would he ?
I remember he made it very clear that he wouldn't consider Barcelona because of his Espanyol career, but maybe he sees this as different? Certainly we've not been shy about former Chelsea men in our dugout
