I was reading on another platform that there was some concern over his pace , but surely if that was a concern it would have been flagged up at a very young age - he's represented his country at youth level . He is notable for his positioning and ability to contemplate the opposition's plans and act accordingly . Jacek Kulig , a scouting expert , stated that Vušković has no significant weaknesses . He's very strong in the air so will be a major asset at set pieces for us .

Remember how good Corluka was... Tectonically slow, but his positioning made him such an effective defender...

Could a Charlie survive in the Prem today... I doubt it, but he was technically one of the best defenders I've ever seen.

And he was mostly a FB. Now that everybody presses high, it's hard for a player like him, and also the classic no. 6 that just "sits" in front of the back four. The art of defending still goes a long way, but nowadays they have to buzz around and cover so much space to fill in the gaps.

Shoulder to shoulder... Get up and get in the gym.
Not even close to shoulder to shoulder. He's focused on Danso and his whole body language is him waiting for the right moment to barge him off the ball.

It didn't prevent him getting forward either , I remember the goal against Everton where Corluka , Kranjcar and Modric combined for a goal to win the game .
