Bale off at the half for Madrid. Really looking like he’ll move this summer but hard to see it being to us even though it would be so cool with the new stadium.

I know what you mean. It I'd prefer if he wasn't in the Premier League, if he were then I hope it's with us. Rashford and Martial I also really like but are they better than what we've already got?

Rashford could be a world beater...

Poch would fix him up big-time.

Martial is. The guy is a Rolls-Royce footballer. The problem, as it usually is, is with Mourinho who allows personal bias to cloud his judgement. Juan Mata is the perfect example...great player compromised by a fuckwit gaffer.

If this happens we win the league next season.

Be funny if Bale went there. Mourgurnio would have him in defense again, along with the other 10.

I mean, Martial or Rashford are good/great potential players... but there's a point where I wonder how many Alli/Eriksen/Moura/Lamela/Son style players we even need. Thing with Martial is I could see him being played as a backup striker to Kane. I guess it fits nicely into the Pochettino mantra of playing more than one position well.

I dunno something about me wants to see Bale back in this current team. That's a sort of intent signing. Bale whilst he didn't shine so obviously at Real, still is a player of massive game winning quality.

Put another way, we somehow signed Martial and Bale, I'll shut the fuck up about my season ticket costing £200 more. I'll even spit shine Levys shoes before every game.

Careful. That cheap bastard might just do it for the free shoe shines.

Have we come so far, in a such a short space of time, that we're seriously saying that Bale might not be good enough anymore?

I didn't say that.
I'm not suggesting you did, it's an open question....he's often injured (at least at the hands and training regime in Madrid) and maybe wouldn't fit in our shape, which isn't typically a Madrid 4-3-3. Would he replace Son/Lamela on the right where we've just bought Moura on play, as previously advised, on the left. he's won everything, great experience and still has pace? don't know if we could afford him (probably not) or if he went to United (who could afford him),would we pick up Martial instead.

You can make any sort of argument you like, depending on your own opinion. Personally I think it's a measure of the Poch project and the club as a whole in the last 3 years that it's even a debate.

Not really just there's no point in having a really expensive bench warmer if he is crocked all the time. If he is fit, he would win games we currently draw. Would he stroll in to our team.... Hmmmm I dunno?!

I think Bale is class, and I also think he has realised when he is not wanted. Bound to have an effect on his play. Why put your heart in to something if you are already on the way out.

If he can't take Madrids training... how in fucks name will he cope with Pochs regime?

Look I loved Bale and you could argue he has kept on delivering, but we can't afford to keep the physios busy because we want a marquee signing.

If rather spunk on Radford who we xould turn into another world class player.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino believes the new format for the summer transfer window will help the club going forward. Premier League clubs voted earlier this year to change the summer window so it runs from June 9 and closes on August 9, two days before the new season begins.

Spurs are notoriously late shoppers in the window, trying to hunt out bargains, but leaving Pochettino with little time and no pre-season to integrate his new signings into his philosophy and get them up to the high fitness levels he demands of his team.

Last season Tottenham were the last team in the Premier League to make a summer signing, before Davinson Sanchez eventually signed for a club record £38m from Ajax in late August.

Pochettino believes the new transfer window will give Spurs a massive advantage this year because that late bargain shopping - if the club do it that way again - will come before the season begins.

"It is about preparing the team better and to be ready to compete from day one of the competition. That is the most important thing. Now the transfer market is going to change and it's going to help us. It's a massive advantage for us for it to finish before the start of the season. For us, it's massive," he said.

"It's fantastic because now it's before the start of the season. Not one month later!"

He added: "Of course, for many clubs it will not change too much but for us it is going to change a lot. We're going to have the squad ready before the start of the season.

"If we want new players, they need to arrive before the start of the season. It's more helpful because they're going to have more time to adapt before the start of the season and help the team. You're going to win an extra month with them and it's massive.

"We don't need to wait for anything. You need today - yesterday - to start to work to try to sign players. It's going to be very helpful for Tottenham."

Note: Please can someone tell Levy!!

  • Manchester United will have to offer £40m plus Luke Shaw if they want to sign Tottenham left-back Danny Rose this summer.
  • Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon says the club will only sign Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski as a stop-gap while they wait for Harry Kane.

There's apparently quite a feeling amongst German club management that young English players are good targets to buy on the cheap or on free transfers and a way of accessing top talent by offering a route into the first team that they won't get from their home club. BMG have been leading the way but I wouldn't be surprised to see more clubs on the edge of the top four teams whose academies aren't as prolific as say Bayern or Schalke in the Bundesliga picking up players from the current u18-u23 generation. Now that the players have seen Sancho and others move and get games, the hesitation to move from England that might have existed before is likely to reduce and we might see quite a change in the routes English players take to become established professionals.

The Germans could actually help make the England team half decent if this continues and plenty more players get their chance!

I think Vardy would be a decent buy. He could play alongside Kane if necessary and as a back up if Kane was injured... his pace is frightening and he can finish. 20 mill?
