How is no one at our club losing their shit?
How is no info what so ever about them losing their shit leaking out? One would presume due to the lack of info that they indeed are not losing their shit and are calm and collected about it all and either have a plan and it's all under control, or that they genuinely think we have more than enough to fulfill our coming seasons objectives.
However if we are at all linked to players (and it's all under controll) you again presume however tight lipped our club is that leaks at the other end would happen, if nothing more than to potentially bump up the price when a rival also becomes interested.
I however, am simply losing my fucking mind here, I just don't understand.... anything anymore.
There is so little happening I feel torn between being absolutely flabergasted (now) and utterly apathetic to it all (5 mins ago).
I'll be glad when Thursday rolls by and we know where we are at and if Poch has indeed been Levy'd.
If he has I don't reckon we'll finish the season with him, I'd say that would be project aborted and he'll be off helping some huge European club develop themselves into the next big thing instead of us, especially if we suffer stuttering results.

So Toby wants to leave and we basically have no time to sell him, and, worse, no time to replace him. This one is perplexing. There were two options: either we told him he was staying put for this season or we had to sell him. That;s it. We seem to have done neither. And I know we've fielded offers, but the best CB in the PL shouldn't be that hard an item to move, even at 29. I want him to stay but how good will he be if he doesn't want to be here and Poch doesn't want him? I am at a loss.

That is certainly a possibility, but they should have just done that from the start then. Dropping that news on him on Wednesday probably won't go over so well. I honestly think that keeping him this year and getting 25 mil for him is better than selling him for 40 or 50 mil now. More the handling of it than anything else.

I am just numb about it,trying not to think about it,I admit I was pessimistic probably every season since Poch started,not in his ability but we have climbed and I fear or expect the bump in the road,but everytime Poch has done it and covered by moving dier,getting davies,trippier and sanchez to cover for players we thought were irreplaceable.Plenty to be positive about players back after missing big parts of last season,lamela,winks,wanyama?,rose even toby if he goes missed half of the season.Moura and sanchez now settled,son progressed,dele should be better this season surely llorente&sissoko couldnt be worse?
But then the nagging doubt we are an injury to kane and Jan away from playing foyth and llornete as the spine of our team possibly.And I would like a proper tilt at the domestic cups which 2 or 3 new players would give us.
I cant believe we will sign no one,thats a PR disaster with the new stadium and prices charged.surely we will be pleasantly suprised??
As @Yid said i am on the edge of being concerend and trying to remain upbeat,but my concerns of ENIC just grow,this should have been a glorious month,new stadium,excellent team chance missed by the club to really push on with the good feelings that seem to have evaporated since May in particular.

Cant believe even Jannsen £17m of signing hasnt been moved yet,he wont even get a squad number,Nkoudou surely he is off,if rose&toby are truly untenable to Poch we have had 8 months to get it prepped and done,not with 3 days to go now.Its not even about the fees,its getting them off the wage bill.
We have taken our eye off the core business with project managing N17,the lodge,NFL,retractable pitches,skybridges,atriums,craft breweries,cheese rooms and forget very little of that works if the team has a finishing 6th or below season if it were to occurr after all last 3 years chelsea,united,arseal,liverpool have all done that.Would be an awful start to our move back home if we havent given enough attention to playing personnel.

As for Janssen, Nkoudou et al, they could still be sold or loaned to European clubs (or, for that matter, to EFL clubs) until August 31st, so I guess that could be budgeted for. The flip side of that, of course, is that some big European club could come in spunking money to turn one of our players heads between the 9th and the end of the month.

I’d like to think you are right, but seeing our resident optimists ( Skiathosspurs and Don) gradually move from quietly confident to pleadingly frustrated has dragged me down with them.
We were just a little bit too thin last season. Wanyama looks to be out of action for a while. Has anybody seen Winks? Harry and Dele both looked short of full fitness in the WC to me. Sonny will be gone in a couple of weeks. Toby looks to be half gone and Vincent, Fernando and Moussa are still with us.
But who knows? 3 days left. I’ll wear my VdV socks to bed just in case, as we all should.

My one big question is this...if United are so desperate for Alderweireld then why are they not willing to enter into a negotiation that includes Martial? That is the one question I would be asking that cunt Mourinho if I was Levy. Surely we should not even consider selling Alderweireld to United based on their position of not wanting to sell Martial to a rival club. Surely this goes both ways.
Personally, I would shop Alderweireld around to the highest bidder to the absolute exclusion of United, even if that means we take a little bit less. A message needs to be sent in this case.

I'm wondering if the fact that Chelsea and United have failed to improve--the chavs in particular could be absolutely fucked if they don't watch themselves--might have something to do with our inactivity. Levy's obviously gambling that we can stay where we're at without spending big in the year we open the stadium, surely the two shitshows around us in the table play into his logic.
