Nope..... he's off to China with all those "chins" he seems to have accumulated in the off season.

Does anyone think that these Chinese clubs might not actually pay these sums for very long??

many, many years ago before MLS,they tried, beckenbauer, best, moore, pele and unlike MLS now,if there is no infrastructure, ground level base, then its just a gimmick and will fall to the standard of national competition eventually.A chinese super league is not too big to fail, its a gamble based upon 100 of years of european league`s history, and a quick fix of some lets face it 2nd rate or has been players from europe wont change that.
I think the US although importing some high profile names still is built on more solid footings of its grassroots now,and not a quick fix imported franchise style which it adopted in the 70s.Chinese football will need the same organic growth, which takes decades, for the players, coaching set up at school&club levels,to the fans who ultimatly pay for the leagues success,by support or buying tv to follow. Is anyone in america, europe, africa remotely interested in paying to watch chinese football,i suspect not.Just look at the russian league, some teams spent huge, but its settled down now.
Its just a publicity stunt,no one outside of china will give a shit IMHO.

The Diego Costa tapping up thingymabobby is fucking brilliant! Hopefully it all falls to shit now! I said pre season that the owner needs to get the dressing room in order as there is too much player power at that club and I felt that if he was to back Jose it would have made a statement to the players about who's boss but instead he bought in a new coach so theplayers will be cunts once they are bored of him as they are with all managers. I know Mourinho is a complete tit as a manager but when the players have more power over the dressing room than the most successful manager in the clubs history then no manager has a chance of long term success...

I agree, Cuntè has had a good half a season of success, I think it's about time Hazard, Costa, Terry, Flabbyass etc roll over and go crying to Mr Russian Mafia Boss how the boss doesn't like them shagging team mates wives etc etc and to get them a new high profile manager so they can derail his career.

Stoke manager Mark Hughes remains "hopeful" of signing West Brom striker Saido Berahino in the January transfer window.

The Potters bid for the 23-year-old in the summer, while the Baggies made a third contract offer last month.

Berahino has not played for the first team since 10 September and was sent to a conditioning camp in France to help him lose weight and regain fitness.

"We are interested in him, as a number of other clubs are," said Hughes.

"I am hopeful we will be able to get something done."

Berahino's deal at The Hawthorns expires at the end of the season and Albion have been in talks with him since the summer.

West Brom have made a bid of about £10m for Hull's Jake Livermore after missing out on Morgan Schneiderlin.

Baggies head coach Tony Pulis is desperate to strengthen his squad this month to build on an encouraging first part of the Premier League season.

He failed to land Schneiderlin, who has joined Everton from Manchester United, and also missed out on Leicester's Jeff Schlupp, now at Crystal Palace.

Midfielder Livermore, 27, joined Hull in an £8m deal from Tottenham in 2014.

Swansea City have signed left-back Martin Olsson from Norwich on a two-and-a-half year deal for a fee of around £4m.

Olsson has won 40 caps for Sweden and joined Norwich from Blackburn in 2013.

His arrival is a timely one for Swansea after their Wales left-back Neil Taylor was ruled out for at least three weeks with a broken cheekbone.

Olsson, 28, is Swansea's second signing in January, following winger Luciano Narsingh's move from PSV Eindhoven.

Striker Marvin Emnes has also returned from a loan spell at Blackburn Rovers.

Real Madrid have pinched a couple of players from Spurs that haven't gone down too well with the supporters but being realistic Tottenham Hotspur at that stage were a stepping stone club to something bigger.

Under Mauricio Pochettino that is changing, the players feel they can win things at Tottenham and are all signing long-term contracts to stay. There have been reports of Real Madrid watching Dele Alli and Sky Sports Spanish football expert, Guillem Balague, suggests the Spanish side wouldn't be looking to sign him for another couple of years when he has developed further.

Sponsor Adidas though, want Real Madrid to sign the young Englishman and are pushing for them to sign him according to the Spanish media. Who sponsors Dele Alli? Adidas.

He wouldn't be the first transfer funded by a sponsor. Adidas have reportedly signed but not yet announced a £122.9m-a-year shirt sponsorship for the next 10 years according to Marca, a newspaper based in Madrid and the largest sports-based paper in the country.

Adidas reportedly want big money signings who will sell big shirt numbers, much in the same way they bought Gareth bale as much for his marketing value as his football. Thus players who are highly marketable commodities and popular all around the world will become Real Madrid targets and that will include Dele Alli and Harry Kane.

We have seen that policy time and time again under president Florentino Perez.

Manchester United have agreed to sell Memphis Depay to Lyon
Lyon have agreed a deal to sign Memphis Depay from Manchester United for a fee which could rise to £21.7m, according to Sky sources.

Sky sources understand United will have a buy-back option as well as sell-on clauses inserted into the deal that takes the Netherlands international to the Ligue 1 club.

The potential add-ons include Lyon securing qualification for the Champions League and Depay signing a new contract with them.

Depay has found his first-team opportunities limited this season under Jose Mourinho
Depay joined United from PSV Eindhoven for £25m in June 2015 under the management of his compatriot Louis van Gaal, but fell out of favour following the arrival of Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford last summer.

The 22-year-old has featured just eight times for United under Mourinho, with his last appearance to date coming against Feyenoord in the Europa League on November 24.

Depay, who has also attracted interest from Everton, is set to become the second big-name departure from United this month following the sale of Morgan Schneiderlin to the Toffees.

He has featured 53 times in total for United, scoring seven goals.
