The whole situation with Gil baffles me. He’s got pace and skill and can go past people so why are we not keeping him and trying to develop him in to. Premier League player ?So the whole Dan James because he’s HG is bullshit. He isn’t HG and that being the case I don’t see the point.
Would prefer to keep Gil.
That's us done then...No sooner did I write that ..
I can't see why he can't be used in the early rounds of the League and FA Cup personally, but I suppose his "problem" is that he's more of an out an out winger than a Conte-type player who needs to track back and defend. What

At least the reserves will have him to rely on.
Interesting. Fulham have apparently just signed Carlos Vinicius for just £5m
I hadn't really thought about this window in the way you've described it, but I think you're right, and it's why Conte said the club need two more windows to compete for the title. Not optimistic that we'll see the kind of sustained investment that he's talking about (nor, if I'm honest, that he'll even be here for two more windows in any case).Well there we go, as of right now, we've basically improved our first XI in one position (Perisic).
I'm not overly impressed, yes we've improved our squad but where's the top class CB we were crying out for? We ended up with some bloke from Barca on loan that i've never heard of, and we still have no creative/attacking mid. Still have Royal as our starting RWB, although hopeful Spence can be the player we all hope.
In the most part, our top 4 competition have all improved at least 2 or 3 starting XI positions. Personally, i think given how it started we've had a fairly average window, i'm a little disappointed, and feel we've been left behind AGAIN.
The positives, i guess is that we still have the individuals to win us games, and once Bissouma properly settles in, he could be a beast but we still look so one dimensional, and the defence and midfield worry me. We'll see!
You might be right, but he made it pretty clear that he wasn’t interested in Spence in particular.I find it funny you guys assume Conte didn’t get exactly what he wanted this window.
He looks pretty happy in that photo.....The player I feel sorry for in all this is Reguilon. Never really got a chance under Conte. He must be miserable.
I've give either one of my testicles to be close enough to her to contemplate licking her armpit...!!!The player I feel sorry for in all this is Reguilon. Never really got a chance under Conte. He must be miserable.
Here's his presser today. Short version: he is happy with what we got, but repeats that Spence and Udogie were decisions made by the club, and makes it very clear that more players are needed. Acknowledges that there are multiple windows needed to build a squad capable of competing for a title.I find it funny you guys assume Conte didn’t get exactly what he wanted this window.
Surely though mate, if Conte’s such a good coach, he must be able to have the ability to change formation from time to time. I mean Christ we play 3 at the back and still effectively have 2 DMs in the middle of the park. Bentancur can look like a Rolls Royce at times but he does have games where he sits so deep, and has this play it safe mentality.I hadn't really thought about this window in the way you've described it, but I think you're right, and it's why Conte said the club need two more windows to compete for the title. As for attacking midfielders, unfortunately it's just not the kind of player that fits in his system--see Eriksen, at least at first, at Inter--and was never going to be a priority for him. I think Bissouma will be good for us, and give us a little cut and thrust out of midfield. Interesting to see who he replaces. Personally I'd drop PEH, as Bentancur has more quality to go with the graft.
Honestly not sure how to feel about this team. It's as talented a group as we've seen, but I'm not wild to say the least about the football, though I'd back us to continue getting results.

With today's PL wages and transfer fees, He's the bargain of the season. He's exactly what we don't have in our midfield.Apparently United offered Eriksen £200k a week and a £12 million signing on fee. No wonder we pulled out.
