I can understand him rejecting Lazio because they were supposedly only looking to bring him in as a reserve keeper but I can't see why the club couldn't have just announced that he was being released on a free as a thankyou for his service.
As it is, I'd wager that any interested parties are reluctant to approach because of the likelihood that Levy wants a fee for him.

Apparently any new CB is dependent on Dier or Sanchez leaving. It looks very much like Dier will be sitting out this season and staying so it’s all on Sanchez.

Well transfermarkt has him down as an "attacking midfielder".
Last season in the Premier League, he made 44 appearances for Forest, scoring 10 goals with 3 assists.
Season before in the Championship, 53 appearances with 19 goals and 9 assists.

I reckon the deal of the century was made in this window, Maddison for £46m, even though that amount of money is fucking obscene, but compared to the silly money being paid that was a good 'un. Don't know much about Johnson. Lots of people are saying Micky is good, maybe, ask me again in a few months. Getting Porro and Kulusevski signed properly instead of loans was good in my opinion, Kulu will be back to his best soon. Vicario will probably be a good keeper and Solomon for free has to be the sort of deal Levy loves. Udogie is like a new signing, I like him.

I suppose you would have to assume that Ashley Phillips being on the bench today is a sign that he'll be the main backup centre back if Sanchez does leave.
I honestly don't see Dier even getting a squad number as it stands so it would make sense for Phillips to move up in the pecking order.

I'd certainly be looking to move him on as well as Fatty but the Dark Lord will almost certainly still want some kind of fee for them.
That said, the deadline for the Premier League squads to be submitted is the 13th of September so I suppose we'll get an answer then. As much as i don't have any issue with Dier, he's completely unsuitable for Ange's style of play so it's unlikely he'll ever play for us again.
Fatty, however, can just fuck right off.
