Apparently if Blackburn can't find a buyer for that defender we've been after by Friday, a £2m release clause kicks in so you know the Dark Lord will be clapping his hands at that one.

They're in a bad state financially, so I'd think they'd be desperate to sell Phillips before then.

Without question, but I can't imagine anyone is going to fork over £9m when they can get him for £2m in 4 days.

Some talk that if Kane goes we might be spending some of the money on this guy:
Gift Orban

Let's all remember that Kane is irreplaceable...

Once in a generation type player...

Richie may do OK... Sonny may do OK... Kulu may do OK... AN Other may do OK...

But none of them are Harry Kane.

Yes, worth repeating: We are talking about selling our greatest every goalscorer, who happens to be a local boy who led the line for the best Spurs sides since the 60s. Even if it's the right move for all involved--and I have no idea if it is or not--selling him is an absolutely massive decision and a historic moment for the club.

One of the early whispers from today claims that the clubs are still £20m apart on the valuation.

If true, and it remains the case, then I suppose it’s feasible he could stay because nobody is willing to meet the valuation because he’s in his final year.

In Levy's defense, Baryern are morons if they don't simply hand over 100 mil for Harry. They're negotiating like they're Spurs.

In this one particular case I think Levy is right. Only sell the greatest player in our history if we get enough in return. And you could easily argue that 100 mil isn't enough. Worth it to hold out. Still no idea why we can't sign a center back though.

We have to take 80m. Yes Kane is irreplaceable, but I think its time to move on. This saga has been going on for far too long now. Its affecting the club, the fans, other players and the gaffers. If he wants to go, sell him...end of.
Richarlison and Son will do ok and personally I'd be straight in for Ivan Toney and have him ready for Feb and hungry as fuck.

Mané going to Al-Nassr. Thinking Levy wants a piece of that action.

What send that cunt to Al-Nassr too...?
Nah, he'll just turn the screws on Bayern, thinking he's done them over, and then lose it to Leverkusen and/or (likely "or") Wolfsburg.

Net spend boiiii!

Apparently, we're expected to wrap up the signing of Ashley Phillips at the end of the week for £2m once his release clause kicks in.

Although it's being reported as Blackburn having "failed" in an attempt to more than double the asking price.

Odds on Kane joining Bayern are blowing out with some bookies now. My gut feel is that it will fall over.

It looks like Bild are now laying the groundwork for it not happening.

Apparently there's "full agreement" on signing Micky Van Der Ven. £30m fee and everything supposedly wrapped up by the end of the week.

If Kane does stay and we finally sign a decent CB then it'll be an excellent window.

Apparently professional Googler Fabrizio Romano is reporting VdV is incoming as well, so definitely reason for optimism.

I tend to agree with you on the window overall, but we do need a number of players out the door as well.

It’s weird how much credibility Romano is given nowadays. I saw a poll a while back that said people trust him more than the likes of Sky Sports when it comes to transfer news.

We need a lot of exits. I think we’ve got about 35-36 players in the first team squad which is a ridiculous amount and completely unsustainable.

I reckon that's a wolf. If so, maybe we should look at him to play alongside Romero. Probably good in the air, with that melon.
