This is the thing for me, we have to have more than one proper #9 IMO. Especially since Richarlison can/possibly should play on the left.

I would rather Toney than Solanke. Toney and Richarlison is actually a pretty good strike pair. We have certainly trotted out worse. And he is, apparently, somehow cheaper. Football is a funny game.

I'd much prefer Toney to Solanke too. Thing is...we'll only want one of them if Richie is staying, which is fair enough. Would like to see a quality hard man in midfield signed personally.
I can't see Richie doing anything but warming the bench and be there as an impact sub if needed if we sign either Ton or Sol..

I’m not sure why everyone is so down on Solanke.

The guy is excellent and fits Postecoglou’s system far better than the one-dimensional Toney ever will.

And then there’s the character issues. Ange would never be interested in a guy who was suspended for betting on football games.

As well as talking up a transfer to a "big club" after Bournemouth stood by him during his suspension.

Was thinking about Royal going as well as it likely means that Djed Spence will now be the primary backup for Porro at RB. Quite the comeback I think.
