Could argue it's been one of the best windows in a long time I suppose. Got rid of Fatty, Emerson, Hojbjerg, Rodon, Parrott and Gil for starters, with Reguilon almost guaranteed to go as well. Brought in Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall and have just signed one of the top strikers in the Premier League.

We can't afford to have shit seasons... Loads of other teams are bang in the mixer for a top 6/8 place. All it takes is a team having somme poor luck or injuries to fall well short or a team to have someone playing absolute blinders to be well in the mixer...
Top 4 requires you to be performing on another level and efficiency very very consistently.
I hope Ange is taking us there, but it doesn't feel like we're doing much from a recruitment perspective to make the changes we need.

It does look like we’re putting a lot of faith in some young players to make an immediate and important contribution. I mean, I like that approach, but like you say we have to improve quite a bit from last season for top four. We’ll see. We definitely will be entertaining and hungry, which goes a long way with me.

To be honest, I was happy with that as a change to the boring shit we had been served over 4 or so seasons...
But if lifting cups is the goal, we need to be much better than last season, much more resilient than last season, more tactically adaptable, and stronger mentally.
I hope we are of course.
Time will tell, but the first season excuses are gone for Ange so this needs to be better. And that means top 4.
