No idea who this kid is... If someone says he is the next Lamella... I'll be happy.

Could you imagine how good a fit (yeah I know it doesn't exist) Lamella would have been in Ages sides...! Workhorse rat bastard who only score Rabona's...! ❤️

UPDATE. Antwerp insists on a quick sale, but the Vermeeren camp does not want to decide yet
The transfer of Arthur Vermeeren (18) to Atlético Madrid is not yet a done deal. Although the Spanish top club has agreed with Antwerp on a transfer fee of 27 million euros, the midfielder does not want to make a hasty decision. Atlético will have to convince Vermeeren on Friday, when he travels to Madrid.

Negotiations between Club and #THFC are ongoing, but there are no new developments around Nusa: "A sale and rental would be a good option for him," says Deila. "He wants to stay another six months and we want that too"

Am I right in thinking if we sign these 18 year olds they are them "home grown" if they stay with us for long enough?

Seems sensible, but surprised that many other Prem clubs ain't in the same band waggon if this was the case?

I guess levy being a tight wad and also selling Kane has put us in a very good position as compared to a lot of other clubs who now have to sell to buy

My uninformed two cents: If, and it’s a massive if, the PL actually continue enforce their version of FFP, we are in an excellent position relative to most clubs.

None of this is meant to suggest that levy is not an evil bald prick.

That’s an interesting one for him. I think he’s a good fit for De Zerbi ball, and their squad is thin, so he’d likely play.

Yeah, that would be a nice move. I really like Gil and I think he’s going to make it, I really do. Whether it’s with us or somewhere else is the question but there is a highly talented player there.

Maybe, but De Zebri is a candidate for the Dippers job... Would they sign him with the risk of the manager leaving end of the season

Alasdair Gold on the Nusa situation ..

Understand Antonio Nusa chose Brentford because he was guaranteed regular starts there. Spurs held talks but for a raw but talented teenager not starting regularly for Club Brugge yet, they couldn't offer such guarantees for next season with their current squad.

The player and his camp also felt that moving to one of the bigger clubs was too big a step in his development at this point. Very talented youngster though and should reach that level.

While it's never great to see a talented young player go elsewhere, has to be some credit going the way of him and his representatives for thinking about progression and development rather than leaping at the biggest move. That's not always the way with young players.

As he said, it's never great to see talent go elsewhere, but I have to agree that he's made a fairly mature decision. I was all ready to blame The Dark Lord (again) but it seems it's down to the kid himself.

Aaaaaaannnddd... 2 lots of commission/percentages/sell on fees, on 2 sales (the second potentially being much larger if he succeeds),as opposed to one...!!!

Oh well... Another rubble burst.

If he does go there or someplace else, I'd think they'd look for a replacement cut from the same cloth. They seem to have an actual plan.

Yeah, apparently it's already decided who they want... Same mould entirely... Brighton are (seemingly) an example of how to do it.

Potentially another Lamela who would have spent more time in the treatment room so maybe we’ve dodged a bullet after all.
