Another loss for Forest, this time at home to Midtjylland. Winless in six since Ange took over.

I feel for him... It's easy to be flippant and take the piss but he wants to do well...

Agree, but do you think he's a good enough manager at this level to be able to do well ?

It’s a strange one with Ange. Was his record 23 points from the first 10 games an absolute fluke?

Or did he just surprised the premier league with his tactics and was found out quite quickly and people found out we were really easy to beat once you figured out how we play.

Sliding doors moment was definitely the Chelsea game. Wonder what would have happened if Son’s goal was allowed and we did not get the injuries and suspensions from that game

Those games flattered to deceive from my memory...

There were times we were fucking devastatingly good and others that we scraped points we had no right to have...

I think his stubborn attitude makes him massively limited as a manager and an extremely shit tactician.

Worst record of any Nottingham Forest in their first 6 games for 100 years.

He's also the even money favourite to be the next PL manager sacked.

Yes there’s a lot of talk now he could be out if they don’t get a result in their next game.

So conflicted with him.
Seems to be a likeable guy with his honesty & his view of how the game should be played.
Getting our attack back in those first 10 matches was such a relief as much as it was rewarding for us fans after his 2 predecessors. But his unwillingness to adapt, even a little bit, became frustrating.

And that sliding doors moment v Chelsea you mention.

Strangely enough, that was one of my proudest moments as a Spurs fan.
And that encompasses 45+ years so it speaks volumes.
The manner in which we attacked with 9 men & almost scored while Chelsea looked thoroughly shocked & confused was audacious & quite thrilling. We created some genuine opportunities through our relentless pressing & high line. I guess I just loved the fact that we didn't perform the norm of retreating & trying to keep the score down.

I hold Ange in high regard for that match.

Well Forest lost again and apparently it was quite a poor performance as well. More than a few people speculating that Ange might break a rather unfortunate record of the shortest Premier League reign of any manager of 40 days.

I watched it, and didn't think they were a bad performance--if anything they looked pretty well-disciplined defensively. Pretty harsh for Newcastle away to be the breaking point but would anyone be surprised if it was?

That club had the world at its feet after some phenomenal work to get them in this position...

What an absolute travesty how they've been ran since the start of the summer...

I only saw the highlights.
Not sure if it's an accurate assessment of the game but not one attacking highlight from NF.

And it looked like Ange had them start in a 3-4-2-1 which is a departure from his 4-2-3-1

Quite enjoying the demise of Forest tbh.

Their fat criminal owner and their bellend fans giving it the big'un all summer - they can fuck off.

Ange should never have come back to the PL, he saw how hard it is compared to the other leagues he's been in and dominated., yet somehow though he could survive with an inferior club.

I'll always hold him in high regard for that night in Bilbao, however, he's way out of his depth in the PL.

You know you're fucked when Dyche and his anti-football enter the conversation.

I happen to think a diversity of styles is good for football. I know what I prefer, but there's a place for folks like Dyche, Nuno, etc.

That extends to ownership structures; crazy folk like Marinakis make life interesting.

But to go from Nuno to Ange to Dyche without either of the latter two havi g a chance to shape the squad...this is madness.

But long may it continue.

That highlighted progression doesn't make sense at all.
It's like I had said, this isn't an Ange style team.
Nuno to Dyche, sure.
