To me it's basically a rehashing of the narrative that always pops up when a team under a big-name manager is struggling. Still, somehow this weekend's game feels like a huge one on that front.
I'm sure a lot of up-and-coming managers would be interested in the club, and given the reactive nature of football, Klopp's success will mean English clubs, probably including us at some point, will be interested in German managers. Nagelsmann is an interesting one, esp. since he works with Paul Mitchell, and the RB network has another young manager doing well at Salzburg. If things fall apart, I feel like Levy & co would look to another manager to kind of replicate what Poch has done, not one that would demand a huge transfer budget.
Still, a far far better scenario for me is that we batter the spammers, advance in the CL, and put a run together to right the ship. Some will think it's happy-clapperism, but I still think its very doable for this group of players and definitely the manager.
