Would be absolutely gutted to see him go, not just for the beautiful moments on the pitch, but also for all the genuinely likeable aspects of him. I'm aware he's a bit toryish behind the scenes, but if that's of a piece with all the other salt-of-the-earth sincerity he seems to exude, I don't mind it a bit.
But yeah, if he must win trophies elsewhere, let them be ones we're not competing for.

This whole period is going to redefine a lot of different things right across the footballing spectrum. I'm not sure what happens when we eventually come out of the other side. I'm equally not sure how transfers, medicals, fitness tests can be done over the Summer and how transfers and value of players and clubs might be affected.

Need to have a look at wage % and debt levels of some premier league clubs.Quite a few of the newer arrivals of the last 5 years have been spending quite a bit.Everton and wolves will their newer (benevolent??) owners keep funding?they both have spent a chunk, OFC chelsea and citys probably will?but there must be a burnley,watford,brighton,norwich sort of club who spent,relying on TV money who may be having fire sales?I would think definitely some EFL clubs will be trying to flog their wares,just dont see the quality there,nah I am talking bollox I dont watch that league but havent seen names mentioned of players excelling.
I would put spurs and arsenal owners in the hold what we got not too much being saved or spent,just from previous and personalities of the owners.I could argue if spending drops next year in the league,what better time to try and buy to improve standing/position for Levy.Yeah I could argue that but aint going to happen.

I would guess that all the Premier League clubs can survive on TV money, but what about teams like Accrington Stanley, apparently League Two salaries are around £40,000 per year. If every player in the premier League gave up ONE WEEK's pay they could probably pay the bottom three tier's wages for several years, so godbye many lower league clubs.

I wish they would, Most have been there in their football progression, at an early age or via the loan scheme. Problem is that most are just a bunch of ignorant souls with no integrity, completely out of touch with reality as a result of incomprehensibly high wages. Apologies due to any that have given significant amounts to good causes - by significant amounts I mean hundreds of thousands - because most can afford it. They are also led by Gordon Taylor, who far from being apparently aware of 'the bigger picture' seems to want to the finish the PL season at any cost, in any way. As far as I'm concerned, he and the PL players he represents are a total disgrace and should be appropriately held to account for the loss of any smaller clubs.

Its a strange thing to think about. You ever watched closed door football. It's fucking terrible. Doesn't matter who's playing. Owners (well some),the football authorities,the TV companies really dont value the in the ground support nearly enough.For decades since the taylor report (hillsboro) the findings have been used not to better safety but to gentrify the support.Not being allowed to stand and sing,not being allowed to have a drink in view of the pitch,in these days of mass cctv,computerised ticketing and electronic admission to stadiums,the fact standing did not cause the hillsboro incident,have all been used to try and change the demographic of match day attendance.Fair enough sell premium tickets in areas make more money,sell packages to korean tourists to raise club sales of merchandise,but you want the atmosphere and curtail the fans who for decades have lived huge parts of their lives doing this and paying for the priviledge.World wide viewers love the PL because of the specatacle which largely is down to fans in the ground,especially having away fans in numbers.
But these clowns think it will go on forever,it hasnt in italy,atmosphere in la liga pony compared to UK football,only germany comes close but the football is pretty much farmers vs 2 big boys every year,and even then the same one wins every year.I hope as suggested this is a wake up call when people start watching without fans in grounds,it will feel like training matches,I dont see why tv will pay as much for this pants version of football.

Pretty sure Jan will be off,ok tanganga has jumped the queue because of circumstance,but if we sell foyth and Jan leaves we will need to buy one or two centre backs unless CCV is ressurected.Ok Dier is possibly dropping back,but Foyth could easily be a DM.I guess we dont really want to sell,but he may be itching for chances.

I've said it before, but I really think Sissoko should be given a shot at right wing back. Think he's taylor made for it. We need a hungry young midfielder imo. Someone comfortable on the ball. Personally I'd take a chance on Grealish...

Another one I'd look at is Kalvin Phillips at Leeds. He's aggressive, young, decent on the ball, versatile and has an edge to him which I like in a player....would be cheap too...
