And your the forum gimp now put your gag in and shut your hole
I've missed your witty repartee mate. James Joyce, Oscar Wilde, Roddy Doyle and you, the creme de la creme of Irish literary geniusses.

Ha ha. I tried to read Joyce when some clever bloke said it would change my life, not a fucikng scooby what that was all about and Wilde? No idea, he's probably good. Roddy Doyle though, yeah, he's the bollocks of the dog, read all his stuff, brilliant.

EDIT:

I forgot Maeve Binchy, yeah I know she's for the female girly types of the opposite sex lady folks, but I like her stuff. Quentins and anything with the twins and hooves is great. She has a nice gentle style, you wander along happily through her books, enjoying the ride then BASH someone gets hit by a car and is a raspberry ripple, what the fuck Maeve?

Anyway back to the thread.

I think there's no doubt we improved under Roddy and he gave us thriller moments the like of which we may never see again. Sadly it fell apart when Maeve got hit by a car in Burnley, I stopped reading it after that but a mate told me he got sacked and James Joyce has taken over?

Not sure what was going on.

Hate this thread. Keep expecting to come on and Poch be wearing the training gear again.

So, getting back to what this thread is actually about...
I wonder is there a deal close for Poch at Newcastle ? ...obviously I'd love him here, but strangely I wouldnt begrudge him that job and being a success there if I'm honest. Much rather there than Man Utd anyway...
I wonder would those Saudi's have a few mates that would like to buy Levy out ? Wouldn't that be nice ?Unfortunately, the only thing that's going to happen after I think that is my alarm clock going off....

Suggestions he'll be offered at least £15m basic. However, the whole purchase seems to be going on a long time... fit and proper people? No I don't think so...

I think you'd need to ask that TalkSport expert - 'Pochetino will either become Newcastle manager or not'.

Now his 'gardening leave' from us is over, should be only a matter of time before he's announced as Newcastle's new boss.

I really hope he doesn't go to the Toon, the last thing we need is that lot getting all fired up. Would be a complete disaster for us.

I'd like to see him go abroad like to his old club PSG but it seems he wants his family in London

Wherever he goes I will always like him,but if it is in england I cant wish him well, unless he is playing against a hated rival in a particular match.I know it will be the perennial argument, but I wish Levy had backed him more in getting rid of players unwanted even if we took a small hit with fees.I agree with you I think he wants to stay in england,or probably his family does for now, after all his 2 sons work in UK now.The toon job is probably the most palatable for me,though I would say Leeds could be a good job for him, stick bielsa upstairs and let Poch take the team.

Really the ideal situation is Poch goes to a team already above us, as if it's a lesser team they won't be for long.

I thought about the Leeds position as their game is very similar to how we played: high intensity & pressing.
If they get promoted, I just feel Bielsa would want a go in the Prem.

Nevertheless, it would be a good fit for Poch & to be back with Bielsa in some manner like you said.

Or... He comes home and Levy fucks off.
When ENIC sell the club in the next couple of years after it's been fattened as much as possible with concerts, rugby, NFL tiddlywinks and a couple of religious conventions, Levy will try and retain an executive director role and be in charge of the football bit and have a dozen season tickets for life.........remember where you heard it first.

This sounds way too plausible for my liking.

Well with the 2 varieties of owner, the benevolent throw money at no cost to out do another benevolent owner (or nation state!),Levy is toast, cos he would serve no purpose. But the majority of other owners,in it to make money,Levy is the perfect steward for their money making operation.Chances are we will end up with investor owners, looking to make money on investment,so I have to agree Don`s scenario is most likely, especially if they dangle a big bonus for being tight, low net spend, low wages (except the CEO),high revenue,Dan`s your man for £6m PA

Dan`s your man for £6m PA
You've mispelt that.........it should read 'Don's your man for £6m PA' I'd do the job for 1 year, blow the budget on a world beating team, reduce season ticket charges and give everyone a free shirt and a sauasage roll for being loyal and then get the sack. I reckon I could muddle through for a few years on £6m and they could keep their bonus......
