Poch was burnt out from the ECL defeat, began suffering depression and mood swings and need a break from football. Levy employed jose as a caretaker manager to allow Poch to recover (but kept this all secret). Once Poch is ready to comeback, Jose will step aside and become director of football

Mauricio Pochettino remains the favourite for the Juventus job after Maurizio Sarri’s sacking, with Simone Inzaghi, Zinedine Zidane and Andrea Pirlo other candidates.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claim his salary demands are €10-12m, which would be approximately double what Sarri was earning.

Sportitalia see him as the favourite, with negotiations already in progress.

And Sol Campbell would never go to the scum...?? Very hard for Poch to turn it down if he was offered it. I think it would be a bad move. Because yes, he is Espanyol and secondly they need a major squad overhaul and the owners wont have the patience he needs from them. Poison chalice imo...

I think if he gets asked to take that job he has to go for it. Barca have a bunch of old players that need replacing. I'm sure the Barca academy is unreal, and if he wants a certain player in their prime chances are he can have them. At the end of the day even with an aging squad Barca still came up second in la Liga so he doesn't even need to do much there cause that league is shit.

Champions League would be interesting, but he got us to a final lol.

I think it would do his career well to go and be a winner and there seem to be about 40 cups to win in Spain.

There was talk that the old guard at Barca didn't want Poch anyway because his style is very physically demanding. Mind & body may not be willing at their age.

I'd be surprised if Poch got a job at a big club outside the PL like a Real, Barca, PSG, Bayern or Juve tbh.
There's no doubt he's a good coach but the managerial trophy cabinet is empty and he doesn't have the attraction of being a big ex player name like Zidane etc...
Think Poch will go for a club that's got potential or on the fringes and take them to the next level....Wish it was us tbh but there you go...
