As I posted mid way through last week, it's my understanding he didn't ask for any of those we got in specifically. He told our player identification bods what he wanted, what skill sets they needed, and then they came up with a shortlist which he either yay or neighed. Now he may well have then put them into an order of preference following being given that list, but I'm very confident he didn't make any actual requests for players. FWIU Maddison is a slight exception in that I believe he was pretty much nailed on to come anyway before Ange was appointed and we were just waiting for whomever came in to green light it, which it obviously was.

Ange pretty much confirmed all this in his press conference prior to Burnley.

He did.

I do not want to say much. Ange was happy on how we conducted our transfers. He wanted one more CB in, who could also play LB. Kelly was seen as a deal we could do. Had we offered what Bournemouth wanted he would have been here. Not about year left. Daniel wanted to move Sanchez on first. He was not keen on PEH going, as he felt we didn’t have the cover, and again ideal players he would have wanted Daniel was not sure if he could spin it.

The difference between Ange and Conte, he will keep his emotions in-house. But if you believe he waa happy, you are very much wrong.

I'll also add most of the stuff(nearly all of it in fact) is not just coming from one POV. In fact it's coming from multiple sources. Nearly everything posted on the forum is posted back of house first and confirmed by others(even by ITK that don't post much at all) and in some cases it's even added to. So just like everyone's favourite journalist is double checking his info the same is basically done here.

I'm not sure who it was that said Ange was "raging" but it's definitely the general consensus that he wasn't happy with not getting a CB. Yeah he's happy in general with how we have done within the context of how much we needed to do, but he's well aware we are limping through to January CB wise as we currently stand. That said we have all seen it before that through adversity comes opportunity, and there is every chance that the likes of Phillips, now being relied on could really step up and even save us some money.

It's one hell of a gamble though and Ange would 100% have preferred another body in.

Overall Ange was happy, but not with the CB situation. He expected another (LCB who could play LB) to come in (Kelly).

Subject: Stadium Naming Rights

Might have some news here coming soon, and nothing dodgy with Saudi/Qatar/etc

There's a CAA connection as well.

CAA helps consult with companies that are looking for naming rights deals. I've heard that there is a company they are working with that "is close to a deal with a team in the Premier League". I don't know 100% if it's Spurs, but it can really only be a few teams.

Yes, it's directly linked to naming rights, and the company that is interested in that partnership has no qualms about price for a sponsorship of this caliber.

It's not a company that most people would know, to be honest. Not an Asia based company either.

Would have NOTHING at all to do with new owners.

It's not [a betting company], like I said, not dodgy at all
Not crypto. Once again, it is a very normal company that won't cause any controversy or be called out for questionable business practices.

He is one of the names pushed by the agents. Can’t see us spending on a winger/forward. See loans on favourable terms. LCB, I see us spending smart

Subject: Bakayoko

No! Have not heard anything indoors on him

Romanian center half at Genoa most likely deal right now

as I have said center half will be first signing and do not rule two center half’s coming if we can move players out , we do like the boy at nice as well but harder deal to do

100% an option and it wouldn't surprise me at all if they released him so would be a free transfer. I'm not sold on him tbh so it's not one that excites me but if we identify him as someone Ange and the new recruitment team want then that's fine by me.

Ange likes dragusin and won’t be against it if we can’t get todibo . Ideally wants Todibo though for his ball playing ability as well as defensive capabilities. Spurs are also putting pressure on nice to sell so tactics galore going on press leaks etc . Tobido wants to come too after speaking with ange . We will move on next week if no progress.

PEH I would say is currently more likely to leave than stay in the Jan window with interest and we have interest in a replacement from Serie A but the name evades me currently.
edit: ederson, atalanta

Nothing advanced

Just agency’s in talks but have been for over 4 months ! Chelsea need to green light for talks between clubs so we will have to await them on this if they do . They no we can meet there demands and they need to raise that pure profit this window !

This feels like the richy deal so it could happen but if I was to put a bet on it further into the month atm unless chelsea push for it to happen sooner !

Subject: Todibo

Deal isn’t dead yet talks happening this weekend . We will decide soon to push the button on another cb if this won’t materialise

Do not get carried away thinking there will be three or four signings in Jan it’s highly unlikely and pay attention to Angie comments that nothing revolutionary will happen in Jan

there will be a center half and as I have said and that right now is looking like the Romanian boy , if there are additional deals they will have to be very favorable terms for the club like jota loan with option to purchase next summer and the same with kelvin Philips

Today is a big one with this, Nice know we are close to pulling the trigger on this deal so unless there is progress with the Todibo deal, I think we should see Dragusin in by the end of the week.

Genoa conversations extremely positive. May surprise you to know this fella is Ange’s first pick.

Jota, we are really trying to do some things.

18 year olds which you know about, we are waiting especially on one, the Ajax lad’s decision

Doesn't want to leave mid season is a load of shite, when we finally get the deal over the line, he will be straight over. It's just to save face a little leaving them mid season, they're only 6pts above relegation and they are potentially losing their best player which will be a huge loss to them so he's hardly going to say Dragusin can't wait to leave. Just a matter of time from the update I got earlier. Updates my end will now be slow as I'm back to work tomorrow and I won't see/hear from my mate much over the course over the window.

Calvin Phillips is admired by us . City reluctant to move him mid season to a direct rival atm . Players has serveal offers in Europe and pl . Ideally wants pl football . Pierre moving would be a necessity unless further injuries do occur to key players !

would be a loan to purchase deal .

Subject: PEH
Nothing advanced and anything being proposed is seen as a piss take right now. Has loads of interest just not serious buyers right now

Subject: Todibo
Talks have ended on this one . Nice we’re firm and we are not in a position to hang around .

Subject: Samuel Iling-Junior
On 🧊.. back on the list for now could be some manipulation further into the window we have other targets for the forward line

Subject: Ivan Toney
CAA working on a new contract for mr paddy power . Brentford even more reluctant to sell after their run of form don’t want to slip into a relegation battle .

Subject: Dragusin
Positive news it’s advanced just not at the heads of terms level.

Subject: Jota
No talks with this so far . his agent is trying to bring him here knowing the manager exposed his previous form before his move . Ange does love the player but there are a few concerns not just with jota but squad related too .

I’m not ruling it out completely but a decision hasn’t been made on this and no talks have taken place at board level . We don’t want to start bloating areas of the squad when players are due to return soon barring Sonny and he hasn’t played any competitive football . His wages could pose a problem too ! A forward who can facilitate all 3 roles is ideally the player we require im not sure he’s of that profile

PEH really wants to go. He has made that clear to the club, just as he did in the Summer. He sacked his agent after he failed to get him a move back in Sept/Oct and has since appointed an Italian Brief(with ties to Juve) on an interim basis to try and get him his move. The club have given the green light to discuss his transfer with other clubs but he knows it'll be on our terms and subject to us being able to adequately replace him. He is not part of our long term plans has always been professional, and so all parties are happy for this to happen.

Still a lot of moving parts that need to be put into place but it's more likely than not imo that he goes this window as long as Juve ante up with what we see as an appropriate deal.

If he stays the club are in no doubt he'll crack on and give it 100% for the remainder of the season.
