2016 pre-season friendlies

I have a bit of a concern, without wishing to sound like the 'prophet of doom', about the core of our team being match fit for Everton. All of Kane, Walker, Rose, Dier, Alli, Dembele, Toby, Jan and Hugo had extended holidays, which they obviously needed, but with one friendly in Oslo under their belt before Everton, they might need a bit more match practice. A similar pre season for Chelsea didn't work out so well last season.....I'm sure Poch has a plan??

Well some would say they are not ready,others spin it as well rested,I am sure Poch knows!.Everton had players at the euros too,and miralles and lukaku if not sold will be wondering about martinez managing belgium now!!Hopefully players in a familar system will overrun a side with a new manager adjusting!!

Well now....I just found out the game will be broadcast live on the obscure CBS Sports Network over here. So...I get to watch Spurs finally. First game this seasons...should I go Full Kit Wanker for this one??

I think we'll be OK, Hugo shouldn't need too much match practice we can always play Tripper at RB too. Jansen and Wanyama have had a good pre season to get fit. I wouldn't be surprised to see an attack of:
Lamela Eriksen Onomah
Jansen.

With Wanyama taking one of the double pivot roles we should be pretty good to go. Only issue really is CB with Wimmer, Tob and Jan all playing at the Euro's.

Well that was a lovely Friday afternoon wasn't it. Janssen looks good, Harrison scored his first goal, Kane got two, Lamela is going to be player of the year or maybe second to Dele Alli...who will marry Eric Dier next summer. What's not to like....

Has Eriksen signed yet? he better hurry up if he wants to get in this team.

I know I was saying that results (and really performances) are totally irrelevant in these preseason friendlies, but that was something else. I watched Bayern do the same thing to Inter last weekend, and this was every bit as comprehensive.

Ooooh how nice was that? I was nervous, optimistic of course, but those pre-season friendlies can be bastrads eh? How good is that new bloke? Very! The new super Jan-ssen, tough as old boots he just shrugged off the challenges, nice. Seeing both my favourite fullback pairings was nice, I still can't get used to having our 2nd string defenders being as good as our first choice blokes, who are the 1st choice anyway? Some games scream out for Trippier who I reckon is the best crosser in the PL, some games better suit Walker, same with Danny and Ben, luvverly jubberly!

A great confidence boost before the start of the new season, COYS!

Community Shield isn't much of a game. Obviously Vardy's goal came from a clanger by Fellaini, but Leicester look by some distance the better team against MU right now.
