Alexis Sanchez is a bitch.

Yes, I know that this comment has a place in just about any thread ever created....but watching him again this morning trying to get Seville players booked was just galling.

I didn't even bother watching it, Mrs D wanted to know if I was OK, she was shocked, no footy on her telly so she could watch lady's programmes. Oh dear I may have got a bit sexist there, I don't think anybody noticed.

http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...es-qualification-2018-19-season-a8230441.html

Uefa have announced changes to the Champions League and Europa League starting from next season, including staggered kick-off times.

The Champions League has always kicked off at 7.45pm (GMT/BST) but from the 2018/19 season they will start at either 5.55pm or 8pm – similar to how the Europa League functions.

All four English teams will be given direct passage to the Champions League Group Stages, as will teams from Italy, Germany and Spain as well as the current European Cup holders and the Europa League winners. Two teams from those four nations, plus France, will also qualify directly for the Europa League.
That means from next season, the top six will all be guaranteed to be in the Group Stage of either the Champions League or the Europa League, without having to win a two-legged qualifier as in previous years.

In total there will be more automatic qualifiers next season than in previous seasons, with 26 going directly into the group stage as opposed to 22 this season. That means only six teams will gain entry to the Champions League via the qualifying round, compared to 10 this season but it will remain as a mini knockout tournament.

Any team eliminated from Champions League qualifying will be given the opportunity to qualify for the Europa League. There will be 10 sides entering the Europa League via this route, while 17 teams will qualify for the competition directly (through domestic league positions) and a further 21 clubs reaching the Group Stages through the normal qualifying route.

........by 2024 our correspondent writes, only 4 teams from the Bottom of the Premier league in the UK, will not qualify for the Champions League, the Europa league, or the new Uefa league. The games will be played from 3.00pm, 5.30pm, and 7.45pm from Monday to Monday and every game will be shown live on TV, including the play off for the UEFA league qualification between the 10th placed team from Azerbaijan and the 12th placed team from Slovenia.

By 2026 it is hoped that all games will be played by representatives from each of Uefa's 138 nations on Xbox 360, with the final being against the winner from Nintendo........

United vs Seville, Garry Lienker said "here's the highlight of the first half - the players walking off", this game is a a good alternative to sleeping pills, total shite.

Thank fuck for that, the stream has frozen, result!

So would you want to qualify in a United style or go out playing like Spurs? No clues, but on another note we would have murdered Seville.

I reckon any team in League two would have mullahed either of these two tonight. No contest for me, we went out fighting, playing football, I don't know what Mourinho's tactics are - bore the opponents to death?

I want United to get a second only to be denied a third by a poor refereeing decision

I wonder what Mourinho was moaning about to the 4th official, surely he can't blame his team's pox-awful performance on the ref? I think Ben Yedder has had more shots on target in his 18 minutes than both sides put together rover 180. United really deserved to lose that game.

FT ManU are out.
That's what you get when you play negative football.
Mourinho got nothing in the away leg & didn't get his team up for it & got reamed at home. Finally awoke from their comatose state in the dying mins.

Mourinho has one tactic in Europe.....luckily it doesn't work all the time.

There are several very very expensive players in that club that are completely useless in probably 9 games out of 10.

Those two legs display exactly why I can’t stand watching Mourinho’s teams...walking dead football!

United got what was coming to them. They were set up poorly and played accordingly.

And make no mistake, Mourinho clearly still doesn't rate Mata. United needed him for 90 minutes today.

Is it worth watching the last thirty minutes of the game for the Schadenfreude?

So sad for Mourinho and United. They gave their best but just couldn't get over the hump against an experienced team. It's so exciting watching them keep the ball inside the touch lines with relative ease. Damn shame that the goals just happen to be on the other side of the lines.

Very much unlike our loss to Juventus, Sevilla were clearly better than United over the two legs.
I think it was more that United were so much worse than Sevilla, they really didn't look remotely arsed. Sevilla could have brought a bus and driven it through the wide open spaces last night, without Bailly United would have conceded a ton of goals. I am really enjoying watching how badly that nasty little shite Sanchez is doing now he has moved to a big club.

I think Mourinho is done, nobody likes playing for him anymore, the novelty has worn off and he sounds like a Dipper talking about how well he did in the Champions League with Porto and Inter and it's not his fault that United are pony, that will go down nicely with the United fans. As they are not going to win the FA Cup this season, that's ours, and they will lose their second spot to us - he'll be gone in the summer, along with their best player De Gea. Loads of their players are coming up to retirement, many will want out because the United dream is not what they thought it would be.

They have been really lucky in the Premier League, thye fluked a win against Palace and fuck knows how they beat Liverpool, Rashford was brilliant that night, but the rest of them? Nah, pony as fuck, except maybe Bailly again despite the own goal. Klipppetty Klopp didn't counter the boring. defensive 'Mourinho Way' that he should have know was going to happen, because it always does, Jomo does not ever change his tactics, I don't know how he has got away with it for so long.

The answer to the last point is 'because it's successful' in terms of winning things. It worked at Porto, Inter Milan, Chelsea and even United last year in the Europa League. It's just so depressing to watch. Still we will see no more of it, Excellent.
