Agree. There's been a cancer in the club for many years now. Manager after manager after manager have walked in with positive aspirations and walked out waving their arms in the air.
It's no longer a coincidence. Whether it's Levy or maybe it's old school staff and fans that have been institutionalised as a result of the last 30 years of just being happy with the mediocre. The "it'll do" attitude. Something has to be done in a very radical way....but with Levy and Lewis, it won't happen.
That press conference was not a good look for the club. The scenes of Spurs fans at the ground celebrating Haaland's goal is embarrassing, regardless of the context of the situation.
The fact is, if our club was run half as well as Arsenal over the last number of seasons, maybe we'd be challenging for trophies instead of being childish about Arsenal winning some.
They've been aggressive and had a plan over 4/5 years. They went out and got the best young midfielder in the PL and spent £100m...done. We sold the best striker in the world and didn't bother signing a replacement. Thats the difference in a nutshell.
Ange is right. And I'll tell ya lads if he walks, I can't see any half decent manager wanting that job unless there is a massive change in personal and attitude that unfortunately has been there for far too long.
