I'd be happy enough to sell him in the summer to a Real Madrid for a ridiculous fee but only on the condition we get a top class replacement.
I was looking at some opinions on this last night and the feeling seems to be the same. Remember we’ve got Luka Vuskovic joining at the end of the season and he’s a young centre back with a big reputation who also seems to have a knack of scoring goals as well so you could have your replacement already there.

I also think Dragusin certainly has the ability to step up if needed.

Cuti Romero was released from the Argentine National Team. He doesn't play against Peru. He is returning to Europe.

I am open to selling him.

He is great when he is on the pitch. But he's suspended or injured more often than not.

I was listening to Paul O Keefe talking about Romero . He said Real Madrid came sniffing around , and Daniel Levy quoted them £150mil . They backed off and went away . Since RM have showed an interest - Romero has been injured more often than not , and when he is playing he gets caught ball watching and his heart doesn't seem to be in it . Me personally :- I think RM have approached Romero and told him to play badly or feign injury - to drive down his value so that they can afford him . I don't see any other explanation for his behaviour and lack of form . Perhaps I'm grasping at straws here , but I can't see a solid reason for his shortcomings .

Honestly it's been so long since I've seen him play that I don't remember whether he was playing well or not. I'm not sure if I buy your theory (though to be fair you're far from the only person who's thought this lately.)

I just think players nowadays play so many games at such a high level that they break down and some of them just don't recover quickly. Same with VdV. Good to see he's back in training in any case.

I'd be happy to sell Romero for half that tbh...I'd prefer someone like Guehi.
Romero is a modern day throwback to the traditional centre half. Hard in the tackle, but the fact is, more often than not he's been a liability. He's too hot headed, easy to wind up and doesn't have enough control or discipline...and in today's game you won't get away with booting a striker into row D.

If the right offer was to come along, I'd grab it.

It just speaks of the lack of ambition at the top.
Keep making money & who cares about titles.

Romero drives me mad , he practically kicked the ball in his own net in the 4-1 victory over Brazil . He was doing the same shit that he does when playing for us - tapping the ball about as if to say "come and get it" then he loses it to a sharp striker on the prowl . I'll be glad when he's gone , Guehi would be a far better player for us , and Real Madrid want Romero , so get it done at let's put an end to this soap opera .

Tottenham are tempted to sell Romero in a significant internal U-turn after previously leaning towards tying him down to a contract extension, according to GMS sources, and Atletico Madrid has emerged as a viable destination thanks to the La Liga heavyweights already making contact with his camp to discuss a potential summer switch.

Spurs' vice-captain is preparing to enter the final two years of a deal which allows him to pocket £165,000-per-week, leading to influential figures behind the scenes acknowledging that the upcoming transfer window could be their final opportunity to secure a considerable fee if they do not hand him fresh terms.

GMS sources have been informed that Atletico Madrid's pursuit of Romero is being driven by head coach Diego Simeone and, despite remaining among the first names on the team sheet when fully fit, Tottenham are likely to listen to offers in the region of £45million after lowering their demands.

Levy must have delegated negotiations to someone else then.
