Bloody good at interviews.Yes without doubt he’s one of the all time greats
I’ve never rated Martinez but he keeps getting decent jobs so must have something

His Swansea team was very good. Way ahead of the rest of the world back then on pressing. Not sure what happened to him, I thought he'd end up coaching Barca.Bloody good at interviews.

Trippier over Trent is Ridiculou.
We have a truly world-class defender in Van de Ven. He was everywhere the last ten minutes of that game.
Yup. All pace and Scrappy-Doo energy from Canada. All experience, skill and guile from Argentina. Love this team but they got outplayed and outsmarted.Semi-Final
Argentina 2 - 0 Canada
Great effort by Canada. Have to commend them for that.
But the difference in quality between the two sides was evident.
Spain-France was a good one. Brilliant goal from Yamal, and Olmo’s wasn’t shabby either.
They are world champions after all. Right now you're comfortably better than the US or Mexico. Aside from the big names playing in Europe, I really like Shaffelburg, he looks better every time I see him play. The World Cup is coming at precisely the right time for Canada IMO--some good youngish players will be very much in their prime.Yup. All pace and Scrappy-Doo energy from Canada. I had never heard of him until this Copa competition. Seemed to do better in the earlier games but struggled against The Argies (then again, so would I)They are world champions after all. My issue with Bentancur, is if you put the shoe on the other foot and a fan did that to a player... He is probably going to prison. That's what happens when football comes to my hometown
Nunez was also in the midst of the Colombian fans throwing haymakers (I'll let you make up your own jokes about him not actually hitting the target.) From a friend who was there and not far away, apparently the Colombian fans were taunting and throwing shit at the Uruguayan players' families, who had seats behind the bench.
So a bit like an Eric Dier situation, except it was half the team and it happened at a venue that was not remotely prepared for the kind of thing that can kick off at games like these. But yeah, half the Uruguay team will probably have to sit out a bunch of qualifiers and pay massive fines.
For sure. From a purely Spurs perspective this will be another strike against him after the comments about Sonny. I don’t think Ange is especially impressed by him anyway. He also suffered what looked like a knee injury and came off during the game.My issue with Bentancur, is if you put the shoe on the other foot and a fan did that to a player... Yep, I didn't want to tot up against him as I quite like what he does in the middle of the park... But he doesn't do anywhere near enough to excuse this shit...For sure. I will say that a lot of the Spanish-language football press are defending him and Nunez. Several players ran up to get family from the Colombian fans. No excuse for chucking a bottle, but I do think that in the moment the Uruguayan players legitimately feared for their families. Of course, the security at the stadium and the city police have basically no experience with shit like this, and it really could’ve been mitigated with foresight.Yep, I didn't want to tot up against him as I quite like what he does in the middle of the park... Or a blessing... He has been a bit pony...Meanwhile, back at the Euros..... I can't see 'it coming home' tomorrow, one semi-decent half of football from 6 matches does not make Southgate the new Messiah. Discounting penalty shootouts, England have won three of their matches, Spain won all 6. The England goal difference is 3, Spain's 10. Of course cup games can throw up surprises, nerves, pressure, mistakes, injuries, cards, dodgy refs all play a part, so they might not lose, I just hope it doesn't go to penalties, Harry missing again would be cruel!
OK, see ya. One thing, if there is life after death and a god - can you let me know because I need to stop calling it a cunt. Did you mask up before you posted this? Don't go spreading lurgy through the internet.Or a blessing... He has been a bit pony...
I think we will win simply because I don't think I will survive to see it... And that'd be my fucking luck...
I've got this new fangled C19 fucker and feel like I'm gonna be brown bread before the night is out...
It's a cup game, we're underdogs for sure but we've got game winners right across the pitch... All it takes is for it to work how we know it can and while Spain are also a fucking good side... We could blow them away...
Anyways, good luck lads I'm off to die.
