'It is better to fail aiming high than to succeed aiming low. And we of Tottenham Hotspur Entertainment Company have set our sights very high off the pitch, so high in fact that even failure will have in it an echo of glory'.

I feel dirty maligning that esteemed quote even in a lighthearted way but it appears as what we have become.

It is such a short sighted view in a business sense, the complete core of the business is reliant on the success of THFC no matter how many other events they put on because they are never going to be above 30ish home games, never going to bring money in advance from 40k people paying upwards of £1000,or 100k members paying their subs (and the subsequent match day income. Those "clients" (well its what they call us now isnt it) are all about THFC,not nfl,not rugby, not gigs or boxing, the business revolves around the team and its performances.

If the extra revenue is used to draw down the stadium debt, its disingenuous because whilst that is good in one way,all it really does is increase the pot ENIC will withdraw upon sale. The time to invest and ensure we stayed at the top end of european football was last year, the years before, and whilst we are hardly run on a shoestring, our financial results in 2021 will be hammered with no CL and the fall off in support subsequently. If ENIC withdraw the level of spend in the team when that happens, god help us getting back to where the much maligned Poch took us.Happy birthday El Jefe for yesterday!!

Is the correct answer.......
and here is the wrong answer......

Mourinho rules out a summer "overhaul" at Spurs. "No, not massive changes. First of all, that's not what we think we need. 2nd because of the profile of our club & 3rd because of what the market is. Year after year, it's more difficult. I'm not thinking of an overhaul."

For Fuck sake, well it's probably 'see you later' to Rose, Wanyama, Vertonghen, CCV, KWP, and maybe the likes of Kane if he doesn't fancy it/wants a change. Maybe others too? and based on Maureen telling the truth, (which I also doubt) we'll have a squad of about 18 players, a load of injuries by Christmas and another frustrating season. At least there will be the NFL and some rugby League to enjoy though, so that's OK...........

There will be two further NFL matches held in October along with the rugby union clash between Great Britain and Australia on Saturday 14 November.
It now appears that Lady Gaga will play at the stadium on July 30, although it has been yet to be announced by the club. It is mentioned on the artist’s official website as part of her tour.

Well thats ok then.

I don't actually mind the stadium being put on the global sport and entertainment map and featuring in Discovery channel type programmes., IF it enhances the football teams success, global appeal and fanbase and the subsequent wealth generated IS invested in the team and football infrastructure to make us better. The football team should be at the heart of everything that we are about, the Goose laying the golden eggs. At the moment the Goose is sick and and might even die as a current force in the Premier League and Europe. At this moment it would appear that Levy and ENIC are heading for full Alan Sugar, ready to use the club as a cash cow before selling, which is becoming ever more apparent. I bet Levy retains a executive director role somewhere and a top hospitality suite for life, deluded in the fact that he's made all our footballing lives better. We didn't lose a single home game in our last season at White Hart Lane.

It angers me every time I see how brilliant the building we play football in is compared to how our side currently is...

The stadium should have been the jewel in the crown of out football club.

Not the cherry on the cake of our investment group.

The way this club is treating people in the pursuit of money.... right now I am not bothered if I ever visit the place.

Something needs to change at the club as it's all wrong.

Maybe it's me, maybe because I still view it as a club instead of a business.

This club has given me so much joy over the decades... it now frustrates and pisses me off on a daily basis and that's without kicking a fucking ball in over a month.

I bought a season ticket few years back. Worst thing I have ever done due to being further afield (not using every week). I feel more invested in the club which lead me to read more into things about the club etc rather than just enjoying the football. We as supporters get screwed at every turn by Levy and Co. Whatever they can do to make a few quid including the latest before the breakout which was after March season ticket holders couldn't get any money out until season end. Just so Tottenham could have the interest off that being in their bank. It's all ludicrous. Can't wait to get rid of it if I'm honest and just go back to enjoying the sport.

On the new stadium as well. All the awesome things that were talked about. Glass tunnel, cheese room, board rooms, sky bar etc is all well and good but I've been to the stadium a few times and the only difference to us regular folk is it's easier to get a half time beer and take a piss. Beyond that who gives a fuck.

I'm not missing football and Spurs in the slightest to be honest. I just wish the Premier league players and most in the Championship together with their multi million (or billion)m chairmen would donate a significant proportion of their wages to the NHS nurses, the ambulance crews, the firemen and those delivering meals etc. etc. in the face of grave danger.

Giving them all a clap at 8pm on Thursdays is all well and good, but I bet they could use a few extra quid a week too. These footballers are in most cases a disgrace - are you listening Kyle Walker you cunt.

I mean I'm not on a crusade here but Gordon Taylor of the PFA was on the radio this morning, saying the footballers are a bit miffed at being singled out............OK what other sporting profession/industry reaps anything like the salaries and income from TV etc. that premier leage football does..........and that cutting their salaries by 30% hasn't been thought through - because the government would 'lose' £220 million in their unpaid tax and there would be 'complications' with their contracts. FFS this isn't rocket science - people are dying, businesses are going bust left right and centre, you're making it even more of a disgrace by arguing the fucking point.

Do what Lineker has done and donated 2 months salary (net) after paying his tax and NI to the Red Cross. Or multiple worthy causes and people who need it, It beggars belief,

Make it a voluntary system, then publish a list called 'Rich, entitled cunts who don't give a fuck about the fans who pay their salaries and their families' for all the arsewipes who don't join. They can all afford to give 30% of their nett income after tax, so there would be no tax or contract implications. Even if for instance a bloke earning £100k a week paid £50k in tax, knocking 30% off off his take home pay would leave him with £35k - for a fucking week! The £15k voluntary contribution from ONE player for one week would probably cover a year's salary of a cleaner at the Lane, for two weeks it would cover more than a year's salary of a registered nurse (average £23k)..

If it is so simple that a couple of old bastards like us can see how to make it work really easily why can't so called professional representatives do it by Monday? Turkeys and Christmas spring to mind. Even more simply they're just a bunch of wankers that secretly don't give much of a toss. I mean they trot out out lines like - 'a lot of footballers give their valuable time for free to charities'. Do what??? is that supposed to make everyone feel grateful. Their time is only so fucking 'valuable' because they're earning £595 an hour if they're on £100k gross a week. I mean if youre Kyle Walker that's about 6 hours with a paid 'escort'.

I think a weight of public opinion is the only thing that will move these greedy bastards on the issue, and then in their tiny minds they will see it as paying for PR.By the way Gordon Taylor has refused to cut his £2.2m wages for doing what exactly??PL clubs collectively gave the out going chairman Scudamore 250k a club, the top tier of football is so morally bankrupt that I would think the greedy bastards will try&hang on to their dosh as long as possible, its what greedy bastards do.Even token gestures seem beyond most of them, good on danny rose keep giving stuff to north middx hospital and the staff, and he even he would admit thats a drop in his huge wages ocean.

Its not just football, billionaires asking for handouts for the companies that made them billionaires, people with huge wealth ducking to hang on to huge wealth or probably make more money shorting stocks, buying when things are sold in desperation,
Whatever, our so called bald genius bald twat has done exactly what he said he wasnt doing, put the club at risk financially by spending a billion on a stadium when originally it was £450m.He speculated which is posh word for gambled,I hope he is shitting his britches,he deserves to,only he wanted nfl, slidey pitches, sky lounges, rugby, boxing, lady gaga, million quid shortcut bridges from his office,No doubt some Levy arse nibbling sap will be reading this fuming,I hope they reply,I would like to hear someone stand up for him.
Anyone??

How would that work....?

Ground staff being paid by the GOVT to stay at home and social distance..... and Dr No (Signings) sends them out to work on his private estate....

Is he privately employing them outside of their THFC contract becuse they are being paid by the GOVT in lieu of their wages.

Either way he is a cunt.... and I'm fucking done with him

I sincerely hope this does change football.... because if it doesnt, I am out...!!!
Of course we can't stop being Yids, but ... I think I am not that arsed about the 'stars' at the moment, I think I am going to get more interested in the Academy squad and the ladies team. Fuck those rich cunts who recently have done fuck all on the pitch and not much off it. Fuck Levy and his money machine, I made the decision a few years back to not give him anymore of my money. A new owner would make fuck all difference, so maybe it's time to stop paying for Sky, tickets to the Lane, buying shit from the Spurs shop?

I'm going to start supporting Club Deportivo Dénia, my local team, I think they won the 5th Division title last year and play in the Camp Nou (de Denia) so must be good?

Exactly where I'm at mate... I love Spurs, I love being a yid but the Tottenham Hotspur Financial Conglomerate (THFC) can fuck clean off...!!!

I've stopped with the shirts, merch, and TV packages for about 3 years now as it was getting silly.

It'd be very difficult to just turn off as it's been a part of who I am for 3 decades... but as you say right now, I actually dont give a flying fuck about football in general and Spurs via Levy seem to be just about the worst example of the fucking bunch right now.
