Now of course I have no idea what I'm talking about, but I'd imagine they'll revise the license to allow the sale of the club. I believe they left the door open for that.
Yes I suspect the most likely scenario is that the government will handle the sale and make sure that Abramovich doesn't see a penny of it.

Apparently they can receive TV/Prize money after all but it will be immediately frozen.

There's also a transfer embargo in place.

Oh mate, really? Oh sarcasm, got it? I am sure Comrade Johnson will make sure every penny that the oligarchs haven't already shifted out of the country will get back into their pockets. One of Abramovich's yachts has just done a runner from Barcleona, it's worth 600 million dollars. Even if he loses all the money he stole to buy Chelsea it will be fuck all to him, he is worth 16 billion fucking dollars

Even losing Chelsea with no compensation would be a blow to his ego, but not really his bank account. Before the sanctions he was already trying to spin this as a humanitarian thing: proceeds from the sale would benefit relief (though he doesn't say for whom) from the war (which of course isn't actually happening.)

One wonders if political donations from Russian oligarchs or their proxies are frozen...

No sarcasm. I suppose nobody really knows how things will pan out but if he's banned from selling the club and they're banned from selling match/season tickets, signing players and prevented from receiving any money from TV or the Premier League then they'll go bankrupt unless someone else handles the sale.

Maybe they'll appoint something akin to when a business calls in the administrators when they're about to fold and they'll handle the sale ?

He was apparently willing to write off the £1.5 billion he loaned them just so he could sell the club so you're right, the loss of money won't mean shit to him.

Not that I care about any of this I suppose. It's just peaked my interest for a few hours.

You really, really, really should care. People not caring and not voting are why Putin was able to get his Brexit done, buy the UK government and weaken Europe, Abrahamovic's assets have only been frozen, they should, like all the other Russian criminals who have stripped the wealth out of Russia, have been confiscated. The Russian agent Johnson and his crime gang will just wait until the public get bored with Ukraine and then those assets will secretly start to thaw out.

Not caring about the chavs? Of course, nobody gives a fuck about them and it would be funny if they went bust and got a hundred point deduction.

Not only would it be funny and just, it would overturn the whole logic of "sportwashing."

As for the point about the world getting bored of Ukraine, I have no doubt that will happen within a week or so, when something else horrific, stupid, or both barges it out of the news cycle. My bet is on a new COVID wave.

It's all quite bleak, isn't it?

Looks like United are going for Ten Hag instead of our Poch. Happy that he won't be managing United but I don't see a great opportunity out there for him, which he surely deserves. Maybe is Conte pisses off he comes back? Still seems pretty unlikely. Hope something falls his way.

Look... I love the Poch and would love him back home...

But what would the fucking point be... if he gets fucked by that bald little cunt knuckle for players and controll over the team/squad...?

Only when it's right.

Oh i agree Poch deserves better than Levy, but he is running out of landing spots.

As an aside, Capoue, LoCelso and Foyth are currently leading Bayern in their CL tie, with Aurier potentially to come on. The mind boggles.

It's brilliant isn't it...

Yep, I've watched a few Everton games funnily enough a d they are exactly what we were before Don Tony stuck a few horses heads in beds... apart from they have absolutely terrible players as well as being lazy, unmotivated, pre-madonns, cunts.

That Dele Ali bloke is a disgrace... can't even get a start in that side...!!! He needs to ask himself some tough, tough questions.

There will be a merry go round in the Summer, lots of opportunities. What if City don't win the league or the Champions league? Dortmund? Chelsea? Italy?

Yeah, what a disaster Dele's career has become. Strikes me as the kind of player who might need to go abroad if he wants to have any hopes of restarting it.

The reaction to Chelsea's coughing up their late advantage to Real makes me want to puke. They are being lauded as heroes for fighting so valiantly. Can you imagine if it were Spurs who let that lead slip and lost in extra time? Don't think we'd be getting praised for our fighting spirit. Think Spursy would be used quite a bit. I hope whomever buys them runs them into the friggin ground. Not bitter though.

The only thing that could make this better is if Capoue and Foyth start wiping Liverpool players out in the second half.

Got a really lovely email from Marine FC today - having bought a virtual ticket for the cup game against Spurs. They’ve won promotion and that match along with another 32,000 virtual £10 tickets has transformed the club. The infrastructure, the pitch, the lot. Crowds have increased from an average 400 to 1200 a game.

Good to know that football is alive and well at grass roots, it’s not all about £51m and £375k a week for Haaland at Man City.

League effectively over now after City beating Wolves. Well, that's one trophy Liverpool won't be lifting anyway. Don't be surprised if Klopp comes on whinging that Wolves weren't defensive enough....

He would never stand up and say the best team won... No fucking dipper fan would ever admit it either.

Cunts.
