Ben Davies is an option that I don’t mind in the short term.
He's the most senior member of the squad. Captain of Wales NT. He currently can't play & with Wales out of the WC he's free.
And I believe he's well respected within the club.

The end of the Tudor dynasty.
James I as player manager then?

If this does happen I think it finally ends any chance of Poch ever coming back, even though most seem to think that De Zerbi won't last a year.

Apparently he's making his decision today regardless...
And a big "Stay up" bonus too. He'll be the highest paid manager we've ever had if he accepts...

And he’ll get even more in compensation when he inevitably falls out with the board this time next year so it’s a win/win for him.

Yep.
We're like a pension fund for under performing managers.
Probably because some analyst has calculated that it's cheaper to sack them than it is to give them what they need to be successful.

It’s looking increasingly likely it’s going to be him so fair enough, I’ll get behind him but it still does make me a little sad that it’ll likely end the possibility of Poch ever coming back.

What are we doing? He's just gonna show and and we're gonna instantly start playing open expansive football? It would take weeks to even begin to play his style. Not to mention that the fans are openly against his appointment on ethical grounds. This is like the plot to Major League or The Natural, where ownership is working to ensure the club fails.

Fuck this club. This is what he said about Greenwood.

"It saddens me what happened to him because I know a very different person from the one portrayed in England" and "He's a good guy, he paid a heavy price for what happened, a very heavy price."

That statement alone tells me he should be nowhere near a club like ours.

The thing is, we’re left to trust the same morons who got us in this mess (minus Levy of course) to get us out of it. Predictably, they’re fucking it up even worse.

One of two things will happen: we sign a manager who will instantly (and justifiably) have bad will from the fans, who plays a very rigid system that only a handful of our players are suited for, and who will never stay if we go down.

Or we don’t get him after public pursuit, humiliating the club yet again like we did over these players that have supposedly been minutes away from signing, forcing us to get a caretaker, adding to the chaos with the clock ticking before the next game.

Romano has given De Zerbi a “here we go” but I suspect it’ll be better to wait for a more credible source.

Paul o’Keefe says no relegation clause either.

I really hope RDZ hits the ground running b/c that's what we need.
His style of play suits Spurs & this group of players but it takes time to implement & we don't have time.

So benefitting from a new manager bounce along with his volatile style of shoving rockets may be our last hope.

I don’t blame RDZ for demanding 5 years but what the fuck are we doing giving it to him. He’s never been anywhere for longer than 18 months

I think I'd be delighted with 18 months (hopefully longer but I'm not holding my breath) If he last "at least" 18 months means we stayed up and were at least looking like a side belonging in this league.
ALSO FUCK THIS LEADERSHIP GROUP, BUNCH OF CUNTS

I don't really think his style of play suits these players outside a handful of them.

3rd highest paid manager in the PL....Think about that!!
Justified by our wonderful board on bended knee and being so fucking desperate because they haven't a fucking clue what they're at.
I don't understand why we didn't get a Arry, Sherwood, Hoddle, Hughton type to get us points to stay up by going back to basics and grinding out results...THEN make a proper appointment.
This bloke has always looked after himself. I hope he works out, obviously, but by the time our lads get him, and the way he wants to play...we'll already be down.
Guess we have no choice but to trust him, get behind him and let him at it.

Welcome to THFC Roberto...main entrance below.👇

It appears the Supporters Trust didn't consult it's members before putting out their statement earlier.
