Can someone tell me how Ugo Ehiogu still has a job? We're bottom of the PL2 league just below Derby, Reading and Leicester and that is fielding an U23 team. I know it all depends on the quality of the players available etc. and they are 'just' practice matches, so perhaps no-one is bothered about the results, or who manages the team. But I am and I'm sure that it can't be doing much for the youngsters confidence. We just got beaten 2-0 by Arsenal, Tom Carroll was playing....the writing really must be on the wall for him?

I agree Don. I'm not really sure how or why he got the job to start with but he surely must be walking a tightrope. As for Carroll, I really don't see any point in him being at the club tbh. Surely for the sake of his own career he should be looking for a regular starting place somewhere else, regardless of the level. He's 24 and has a total of 120 appearance with 5 goals. Dele Alli is 20, has 144 apearances and 37 goals. Speaks volumes.

http://www.espnfc.com/tottenham-hot...o-switch-kit-from-under-amour-to-nike-sources
Tottenham have finalised a deal with Nike to become their new kit supplier from next season, sources have told ESPN FC.

The club's five-year deal with Under Amour, worth £50 million total, ends at the end of this season and the sources said the deal with Nike is worth roughly three times that.

Spurs will join rivals Chelsea in wearing Nike shirts from the start of the 2017-18 season but the deal is still someway short of the Blues' record-breaking 15-year contract with the U.S. sportswear giant, worth £60m annually.

The deal will bring Spurs in line with rivals Arsenal, who earn £30m a year from Puma, but they are also behind Manchester United, who have a deal with Adidas said to be worth £75m per year. Manchester City reportedly earn around £12m annually from Nike although that deal is up for renewal in 2019.

Tottenham's partnership with Nike will increase speculation that the company could have a say in a naming-rights deal for the club's new stadium, scheduled to be ready for the start of the 2018-19 season.

In September, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy told ESPN's Ashley Fox that the club had already begun discussions with potential naming-rights partners.

"We've started engaging in various markets with a number of potential candidates," Levy said. "I would say at very early stage, it is our intention to sell naming rights but we have to go through a process and I think it will be some time before we pick the right brand for our stadium."

From that whole video they get the headline "Dele Alli discusses Real Madrid link"

I watched it and I think he maybe laughed at what Dier said, no more. They do love to stir it don't they.

Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have questioned the need for their club to head off to Barcelona this week when they have their own state-of-the-art training facility at Hotspur Way, but assistant manager Jesus Perez has explained the reasoning being the trip.

Spurs headed across to the Catalan city within hours of their 2-2 draw at Manchester City on Saturday night, grabbing a flight for a few days of warm weather training.

Pochettino spent many years in Spain as a player and then a manager at Espanyol, while his assistant Perez, a Spaniard, explained exactly why after a tough first half to the season Spurs needed a change of scenery and will return in plenty of time for their FA Cup match against Wycombe Wanderers at White Hart Lane on Saturday. It's good to change routine, to stay together in a nice city and to share time as a group," he explained to Spurs' Twitter account.
"You know we've played so many matches so far and it's pretty much the same - a lot of training, the same routines. Of course we are training here, we are not here on holiday but they have time to be together as a group, they can do activities here together.

"In London it's very difficult because everyone lives in different places and sometimes it's not easy to stay together for three or four days between matches."
He added: "We want to be better as a group and as a team. The most important thing is the character and the resilience. Thursday we are back to normal at our training ground to prepare for the FA Cup."

Not sure why some 'fans' would question it...seems to make perfect sense to me. Bit of warmer weather, rather than freezing your nuts off, chance for everyone to go out and have a laugh without being grabbed for selfies, good food and a bit of fun. These blokes are 20-28 years old for christ sakes, they need to let off steam and have a change of environment. Great idea.

goals + assists = total output

Kane 15 + 3 = 18
Alli 13 + 5 = 18
Son 11 + 5 = 16
Eriksen 7 + 9 = 16

Total 46 + 22 = 68
