Apparently the fee to buy him if we choose to will only be around £15m

I'm not getting excited over this tbh. Leipzig are quite happy to let him go till the end of the season which says alot when their chasing European football. But he's quick, very quick...and really got nothing to lose.

That's where I'm at with it...

It's got to make Richi assess his options... If we're looking to "the worst finisher in Europe" to add some thrust to our attack as opposed to him... His days are obviously fucking numbered...!

My optimism stems from his past exploits as the top scorer in the Top 5 European leagues & his desire to come back to the PL & prove himself. Couple that with Ange's style of play & it could suit us extremely well.

We're also short of players & some competition for Richi.

If it doesn't work out, we send him back.

58 games for Chelsea with 23 goals and 21 assists apparently so he's certainly got the stats.

I mean... That's better than Richi for us... Not sure about his Prem record overall...?
It appears I was a bit hasty with that stat according to transfermarkt as he played 89 games for Chelsea overall, across the various European games, Super cups e.t.c...

The actual Premier League stats are this ..

20/21 Season - 35 appearances with 6 goals and 12 assists.
21/22 Season - 21 appearances with 4 goals and 1 assist

Yeah, I have to agree mate, it's a no brainer really and if we shift Dires wages it has to be close to a zero sum deal.

Toney... Expensive... But he knows where the net is.

Tottenham are expected to complete the signing of Timo Werner this week after positive talks between the former Chelsea forward and Ange Postecoglou.

Spurs have agreed to sign Werner on a six-month loan deal from RB Leipzig, with an option to make the move permanent at the end of the season for around €15-20million.

Werner is set to complete a medical and be in the squad for Sunday's game at Manchester United, with Spurs to cover his wages in full for the duration of the loan.

United also expressed an interest in the versatile 27-year-old but Werner was won over during a call with Spurs head coach Postecoglou, who has convinced him that he can revitalise his career back in London.

TOTTENHAM are aiming to pull off a stunning £25million swoop for Belgium’s teenage sensation Arthur Vermeeren in January.

The Royal Antwerp midfielder is only 18 but played a huge role in leading the club to a first Pro League title in 66 years last term.

Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea have all sent scouts to watch Vermeeren play this season.

He is also attracting the attention of Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona.

But Spurs have leapt to the front of the queue as they fancy a deal similar to the one which brought Destiny Udogie to North London 18 months ago.

Spurs paid a large part of the £18m fee up front for left-back Udogie — then loaned him back to Italian side Udinese.

Genoa is working with Tottenham, who continue to increase their offer, anticipating possible insertions from other teams.

As reported in recent days, then, there are Napoli and Tottenham. The Azzurri however, at the moment, have remained at the offer of the past few days, while Spurs are increasing it more and more. The English club remains ahead and aims to close as soon as possible to avoid advances from other teams. In particular, Bayern Munich is on the hunt for a defender and has been pressing, showing interest in the last few hours.

Milan have also tried in the last few hours, trying to understand the possibility of including Colombo in the operation, without, however, formulating any official offer with the Red and Blue, however, regardless of the quid pro quo, demanding at least 20 million euros cash. There have been contacts with the prosecutor to discuss the valuations of Colombo and Dragusin in a possible negotiation.

Today, Monday 8 January, however, could be an important day. Juventus, moreover, kept 20% on the future resale after the sale to Genoa. For this, they would earn a part of the sum that the red-blues will collect.

#Dragusin and #Genoa have an agreement with Tottenham #THFC, however the inclusion of #Bayern Munich has changed the hierarchies of the negotiation. The defender gives the Bavarians time to find an agreement with #Genoa because he would give his preference to the Germans.
