I think Bentancur and Kulusevski were clearly Paratici signings.

Everyone else just screams of a Levy deal.
Fair enough, hard to know from the outside who’s responsible for what.

Been here many times before bro...

Not gonna happen and even if it did, it would be reneged on...
But surely @Yid , considering the lack of investment back then when Poch had them on the verge, and considering the money he's given to Jose "Buzz Killington" Mourinho and Don Tony with no improvement should highlight the fact that if he does bring him back, he HAS to back him and Poch (and his people) surely would insist on it in writing. If Levy says no, then fuck him! Levy can't afford not to.

I hear Tuchel's name being mentioned too...no thanks. Don't want yet another Chavs reject please and thanks.
Other than Poch, I wouldn't say no to Thomas Frank, De Zerbi or Silva. All 3 have their sides playing great attacking football. Something this club has sadly lacked in recent years.

De Zerbi is fantastic.

Whilst the coffers have been raided somewhat... was it still enough to implement their ideology...? Ultimately have they both not failed, because they haven't been given the players they wanted/needed to implement their plan...?

It's not that we can't afford these players or their wages, it's just that we either don't bid or won't make the commitment to pay their wages over the terms of a contract...

We're still trying to do it on 2000's money, while having one of the most profitable "football / entertainment" businesses in the world. Yes there is debt, but name a club thay isnt in debt.

I love the idea of Poch back in a Spurs shirt... But if I was him I wouldn't touch it with a fucking barge pole while that cunt was at the helm... and that fucking pisses me off...!!!

Poch won fuck all with us but gave the fans so many things to smile about week in and out, that the thought of tarnishing that is not palatable to me at all... I was proud to support that side. The current shower of shit and the organisation behind it is an absolute embarrassment.

The club has glaring issues from the middle out and I don't believe Levy sees it as he is too insulated by yes men... I think that piece about Patrici's influence says a lot if it holds truth and he is able to feather his own nest at the expense of the playing side and ultimately the club.

Either our scouting network or player development is clearly a sack of shit... we don't have the talent within... that is a huge problem if we're not (and evidence points to us being not) prepared to spend like a Citeh, Utd, Chavski, Newcastle and more added each year.

The problems seemed to be fixed while Poch was here, players coming through, gems unearthed, football was brilliant, results were "proof in the pudding"...

And who fucked that up... by being a tight fisted cunt and not backing the manager to manage... by meddling in transfers that Poch had personally negotiated with the players on... by not seeing the speculate to accumulate opportunities that everyone else could see was necessary to take us to glory...

That was the very start of our slow and turgid demise to anti football mega managers who did/do not understand this club just as much as the supposed "chairfan" running the place.

He needs to apologise for his performance as a chairman... the board need to apologise to the fans for the last 8 years... and they need to commit to aiming for the stars, exactly how this club was built.

Things are being said in public and leaking to the press. The end is close I feel, cannot wait for Levy to replace Conte with the manager that nobody wants…..can you imagine what will happen if it is not Pochettino!!

One of the new rumours doing the rounds is that Paratici has supposedly drawn up a list of five candidates to replace Conte and none of them are Pochettino.

But then I'd love to see Levy squirm if he does hire someone else and tries to explain why to the press.

I would much rather Frank or Debrisi than Tuechel.. He and Levy will not get on. But if I'm Poch, I don't return unless Levy gives me significant power. I remain skeptical, but hopeful.

And another thing, PSG and Spurs, both flawed clubs with unbalanced squads, we're taken farther in Europe by Mr. Poch than anyone else.

Saw that: supposedly Luis Enrique is top of the shortlist. I take your point about seeing Levy squirm, but neither he nor Paratici will face the press when they make their decision, whichever way it goes.

Oh without question. You’ll get a hastily crafted press release and if it does turn out to be someone else, they’ll do the shirt-holding photo call on their own.

Of course if it’s Poch, Levy will be there alongside him grinning like his life depended on it.

How is Paratici still employed? The guy is a criminal.

And it's definitely possible that UEFA might extend his ban from Italian football to England, another reason why he has no business being involved in this decision. His ban is longer than the shelf life of the average PL manager.

Quotes from Conte's presser this morning, in the Athletic:

On his future: “The club knows very well what the situation is. I speak every day with (Fabio) Paratici and I have a good relationship with the chairman.

“We’re far from aspiring to be competitive to win. I say every time we need time and patience and here I see no patience. If I see patience has finished for the fans and the environment then we’ll see what happens. I’m not stupid to kid myself (what would happen). But if you ask me if I’m ready to die for this club, yes.

“Usually you sign a contract for three years. It was for the club and myself to see the situation (with an 18 month contract),for the club to understand my personality and understand if we’re on the same page. After one year and a half, the club knows me and I know the club, the situation is clear.

“Sometimes (as a team) we’re a bit soft. I’m the coach, I’m responsible for this situation. I have to improve the team and the spirit of the team. It happened in the past and I hope it happens here.”

On Richarlison's comments:
I watched Richarlison’s interview. He didn’t criticise me, he said ‘my season is shit’ and he’s right, his season is not good. He had a lot of injuries, he went to the World Cup, he had another injury, then back and one month out, then other injuries. He scored zero goals with us, only two in Champions League.

“He was really honest to say his season is not good. But our season hasn’t finished. He has the time to recover and if he deserves to play I’ll give him the opportunity.

“The rest of the interview… the guy understood well he made a mistake. When you speak with; ‘I, I, I’, and not with; ‘Us’, you’re thinking only for yourself and you are selfish. I repeat to my players, if you want to do something important and fight and be competitive to win a trophy, you have to speak with; ‘We’. Not with; ‘I’.

“He understood his mistake he apologised and that’s good because I had an opportunity to clarify (to him) the importance of the spirit of the team.”

On Danjuma: “I’m sorry for him, he arrived in January and the club wanted to sign this player on loan. For sure he has good characteristics, good quality and maybe he has not specific characteristics to be a number 10, maybe he’s a second striker or a winger.

"If I see the patience has finished from the fans.."

I could see tomorrow being quite pivotal in that sense. If the fans are chanting for him to go then I don't think I'd be surprised to see him pack it in tomorrow rather than limp on until the end of the season.

Got it on pretty good authority the job is Poch's. Would have been this week if results took a turn for the worst. Betting markets have been slashed. Job might just be in the summer with Conte hell bent on talking up his back to back "league titles" getting us to 4th which due to others being inept I think he is likely to do.

Conte claims we aren't patient and are unrealistic. Is it really asking too much of the 2nd highest paid manager in the country to get his side to achieve some or most of the following:

  • Get past a heavily rotated Sheffield United
  • Get a point at an okay Wolves
  • Get a win against an awful Leicester
  • Push a bog average AC Milan over 2 legs
Conte and this group have absolutely bottled the last month and the opportunity to have a B+ type of season. Achieve the above and we would be sitting in 3rd and out of reach of the games in hand group, an FA Cup quarter-final and a CL quarter-final.

Yet here we are no better off than we were 12 months ago. With an 11-game run in to achieve what this manager who is about to walk away from is calling a league title to play for. Fuck this 4th placed crap being a league title. Go and have a crack at doing something meaningful to the fans and not the bottom line.

Apparently the season ticket renewal window opens during this break as well so you'd think that in itself would have driven them to a decision.

Appoint Poch and you could argue that the renewals would go through the roof. Keep Conte and they slow to a crawl.

I'd like to think people will vote with their feet... but they won't.

Even if they did, footy tourists would lap up the extra capacity and wave Son Hung Min signs like lunatics for 90 mins and probably spend more in the club shop on a more consistent basis than most die hard Yids...

Thr club has gone lads... the THFC MEGA CORP now towers above, standing firmly on the Cockerels throat...!!!

Quite happy to renew my season ticket. Rather I had it, than some footy tourists. I think that’s is what most people will think.

Obviously take this with a pinch of salt, but the word tonight seems to be that it'll happen "this week"

Latest rumour is that the club have approached the agents of Oliver Glasner about replacing him.

Currently in charge of Eintracht Frankfurt apparently.

Read something earlier that suggested we could wait until the end of the season on the possibility that Julian Nagelsmann might become available if Bayern don't win the title .. but ...

Sound familiar ? 🤣
