Apparently Lenglet had no option to buy anyway but I suspect Danjuma was the veritable "club signing" so Conte was never going to give him a chance.

I like him as well. It must have been an incredibly tough season for him last year, what with playing with an injury and having to read all the comments about him being the “worst defender in the history of the premier league”.

If it’s not meant to be with us, I’d like to see him become a huge success with another club for sure.

Strange that. I would have thought he would have jumped at the chance to manage PSG.

Reading earlier on that we're rumoured to have agreed a fee with Brentford for Raya of around £30m with add-ons. We're also said to have agreed a fee of £30m with Juventus for the permanent sigining of Kulusevski as well.

Obviously nothing concrete but if we can get both of those over the line soon, it would be a great start to the window.

Well yeah, he's not a "new" signing as such but he's still a signing because we'd lost the obligation to buy by not finishing in the top 4. Ally Gold is suggesting the actual fee is closer to £25m which is an absolute steal if it goes through.

I reckon Son can still press when healthy. Likewise Deki. And when you have the greatest goal scorer in a generation you sort things out around him. Agree about the keeper—whoever it is will need to be able to play from the back (which is pretty much the case everywhere now) and we need to get that sorted ASAP.

Few stories this morning that we’re looking at other options for a keeper since Brentford aren’t budging on £40m for Raye.

Also read that one of the Saudi clubs is looking at offering £60m for Sonny and will pay him the equivalent of around £390k a week.

If I thought that the £60m would be used to sign a quality CB or at least be put towards bringing other players in I’d probably say take it, but we know the Dark Lord would be looking at a few extra storeys on the hotel …

I’m pretty sure I read earlier that the group that owns City also have shares in Todd Boehly’s company and the person speculated that it was an easy way to get round FFP
